LRGM

Team Romney Looking For Knockout By Ryan: http://www.westernjournalism.com/team-romney-looking-for-knockout-by-ryan/

Joe Biden admits the middle class has been "buried" over the last four years. He and the president don't have a record to run on or a plan to make things right again.
Tonight offers us a very clear choice: Four more years of failed policies and irresponsible spending, or a new path leading to 12 million new jobs and a stronger middle class.
That's why Paul Ryan wants this debate -- and why I know he'll do us proud.

Social Security Benefits Will Get Small Cost of Living Bump. Georgina Lopez. By Chris Isidore | CNNMoney.comTue, Oct 9, 2012 4:20 PM EDT

NEW YORK -- Social Security recipients will get less than a 2% increase in their benefits next year to account for a rise in cost of living, according to an estimate published Tuesday. That's less than half the increase in benefits they received in 2012.

(Courtesy of CNNMoney)The American Institute for Economic Research, a private think tank, estimates Social Security checks will increase between 1.5% and 1.7% in 2013.

The Labor Department will release its September inflation reading on Oct. 16, which is the final of 12 readings used to calculate the cost of living adjustment made annually to benefits. The Social Security Administration will announce the 2013 benefit increase at that time. Benefits increased by 3.6% in 2012, when inflation was higher.

Steven Cunningham, director of research and education for AIER, said that the increase will not be enough to cover the actual rise in costs faced by many seniors, who receive the overwhelming majority of Social Security benefits.

Seniors don't typically have the same spending patterns as younger workers, whose purchases are more closely tracked by the government's inflation reading.

Cunningham pointed to larger increases in items more important to senior's spending, including food and beverages, which increased 2%; motor fuel, which rose 1.9%; and medical care, which jumped 4.1%. The AIER's estimate of the cost of every day items purchased by seniors showed a 2% increase over the last year.

"They're falling behind by about a half percentage point a year or so. It's not a huge amount, but over time that adds up," said Cunningham.

In 2009, benefits increased by 5.8% following a sharp rise in gas prices in 2008. But social security recipients saw no increase in 2010 and 2011, when spending dropped due to the recession and prices remained low.

This calculation doesn't only affect those receiving Social Security benefits. It is also used to raise the ceiling on wages subject to payroll taxes. This year's maximum is $110,100, but a 1.7% increase would subject an additional $1,872 to the 6.2% tax.

Investigative sleuth James O'Keefe catches salaried director red-handed

Published: 5 hours ago
A regional director of the voter mobilization group launched by Barack Obama, Organizing for America, has been captured on video helping an undercover reporter cast a ballot for the president in two states.
James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas, known for its hidden-camera probe of the controversial national community organizing group tied to Obama, ACORN, carried out the investigation.

Los debates antes de las Elecciones: If you are like me, your feet haven't touched the ground since the amazing performance of Mitt Romney on the first presidential debate.  It was also fun seeing that after much anticipation our president was flat, lacked luster and couldn't find words to debate Mitt. From: "Mireya Geilin" enviado por Barbara Fernandez.
Many found excuses in the weather or the Colorado altitude, but it seemed lack of preparation and contempt for the process from an uninterested person, who feels entitled and above it all.  It may have also been Divine intervention, as this may be the logical explanation for "the best orator in American history" to look so meager and lost in a debate. If you want to re-live the joy and the magic of the first presidential debate, here is the full video:

But as good as things went for Mitt on the first debate, we know Obama will be better the next time around.  Nobody can be that bad two times in a row.  We are also sure Joe Biden will attempt to avenge his boss and will hit Paul Ryan hard with every dirty trick in the book.
So, to my prayer warriors, please continue praying and asking the Lord be there with them on the remaining debates:

October 16, 2012

Air Time: 9:00-10:30 p.m. Eastern Time
Moderator: Candy Crowley (CNN Chief Political Correspondent)
The second presidential debate will take the form of a townhall meeting, in which citizens will ask questions of the candidates on foreign and domestic issues. The townhall meeting participants will be undecided voters selected by the Gallup Organization.
October 22, 2012
Presidential Debate:  Governor Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama
Topic: Foreign policy
Air Time: 9:00-10:30 p.m. Eastern Time
Moderator: Bob Schieffer (Host of Face the Nation on CBSThe format for the debate will be identical to the first presidential debate and will focus on foreign policy.

A brand new presidential tracking poll released by Rasmussen Reports shows that in 11 swing states, including Florida, Mitt Romney earned 49% support to Obama's 47%. One percent (1%) likes another candidate, and three percent (3%) are still undecided.  These numbers are not good for Obama, especially since in 2008 he won these 11 states by a combined margin of 53%/Obama to 46%/McCain.
So, let's keep working hard and praying lots, because it is working!
