Obamacare has
an aggressively low approval rating because citizens are being forced to accept
lesser-quality coverage. Coverage costs for employers are skyrocketing, causing

Worst of all,

The Justice Department begged a federal judge to not
tell Fox News reporter James Rosen that it was tracking his telephone calls and
emails in a probe regarding a national security leak.
U.S. Attorney Ron Machen argued in 2010 that the traditional 30-day notice period did not apply to Rosen as Justice secretly monitored his Gmail account, according to new exhibits unsealed this week and disclosed by The Hill.

“Where, as here, the government seeks such contents through a search warrant, no notice to the subscriber or customer of the e-mail account is statutorily required or necessary,” Machen wrote in a June 2010 motion. “Thus, this court's indication on the face of the warrant that delayed notice of 30 days to the customer and subscriber was permissible was unnecessary.”
Machen, through another request granted by the court, stopped Google from telling Rosen that Justice was spying on his e-mail account, the Hill reports.
The prosecutor had demanded to see all of Rosen’s emails — including deleted messages, emails in his trash folder and all attachments sent to and from him.
The original warrant in the Rosen case was signed personally by Attorney General Eric Holder, NBC News reported this week.
Meanwhile, Fox News President Roger Ailes on Thursday blasted Justice for targeting journalists as if they were criminals and said the government's seizure of reporters' emails and phone records would not stand "the test of law."
“The administration’s attempt to intimidate Fox News and its employees will not succeed and their excuses will stand neither the test of law, the test of decency, nor the test of time,” Ailes said. “We will not allow a climate of press intimidation, unseen since the McCarthy era, to frighten any of us away from the truth.”
President Barack Obama on Thursday asked Holder to review Justice’s guidelines on leak investigations and news organizations. Holder promised a report by July 12, the Hill reports.
Reports of the FBI's tracking of Rosen's movements, phone, and email conversations with a former State Department contractor — Stephen Jin-Woo Kim — followed the disclosure last week that phone records of editors and reporters at The Associated Press had been secretly seized by Justice in another probe of leaked government information.
But unlike the AP reporters, Rosen was named as a "co-conspirator" by FBI officials in the warrant signed by Holder.

un país que era democrático cuando tres cuartas partes de Europa no lo eran,
un país que era uno de los más prósperos de la Tierra cuando América Latina
era un continente de hambrientos, de atrasados.
El
primer país del mundo que acabó con el analfabetismo no fue Estados Unidos,
no fue Francia, fue la Argentina con un sistema educativo que era un ejemplo para
todo el mundo. Ese país que era un país de vanguardia ¿Como puede ser que sea
el país empobrecido, caótico, subdesarrollado que es hoy? ¿Qué pasó? ¿Alguien
lo invadió? ¿Estuvieron enfrascados en alguna guerra terrible?
No, los
argentinos se hicieron eso ellos mismos. Los argentinos eligieron a lo largo
de medio siglo las peores opciones.
¿Cómo
se entiende eso? Un país con gentes cultas, absolutamente privilegiado, una
minoría de habitantes en un enorme territorio que concentra todos los
recursos naturales. ¿Por qué no son el primer país de la Tierra? ¿Por qué no
tienen el mismo nivel de vida que Suecia, que Suiza que Chile?
Porque
los argentinos no han querido. Han querido en cambio ser pobres. Seguir a
“caudillos” de pacotilla, “salvadores” de porquería, locos, desquiciados por
su mismo odio a todo lo que sea diferente a su locura. Han querido vivir bajo
dictaduras, han querido vivir dentro del mercantilismo más espantoso. Hay en
esto una responsabilidad del pueblo argentino.
Para mí
es espantoso lo que ha ocurrido en Argentina. La primera vez que fui allí
quedé maravillado. Un país de clases medias, donde no había pobres en el
sentido latinoamericano de la pobreza. ¿Cómo pudo llegar a la presidencia una
pareja tan diabólica, manipuladora, populistas en grado extremo, corruptos de
calle como los Kirchner gobernando ese país?. Al menos ya uno no está!.
Esperemos que la que
queda no pueda seguir hundiendo a ese otrora gran país argentino!
Sin
embargo, a juzgar por sus diabólicas relaciones estrechísimas con el
desquiciado, paria, bestia troglodita, de la extinta y queridísima República
de Venezuela, todo parece indicar que ahora “Cristinita” se apegará aún más a
ese escoria, aprendiz de dictadorzuelo, quien ya bastante le ha financiado su

participación de agentes del IRS que participan en "el soborno, el robo,
la suplantación, las violaciones de los contribuyentes, y declaraciones
falsas."
Lo que este último escándalo - y, de hecho, toda la historia del IRS -
demuestra claramente el hecho de que el impuesto sobre la renta es del todo
incompatible con una sociedad libre. La idea de que el gobierno tiene derecho a
una cierta porción de su salario incluso antes de recibir su cheque de pago es
una contradicción directa del principio más básico de la libertad: la propiedad
privada. No es exagerado decir que una vez que el Congreso le concedió el poder
de imponer un impuesto sobre los ingresos ilimitados, sus miembros asumieron el
poder para hacer que todos los estadounidenses bajo la tiranía absoluta. La 16
ª Enmienda no impone límites en el impuesto sobre la renta, literalmente, el
Congreso podría votar mañana, que los estadounidenses deben pagar la totalidad
de sus ingresos directamente al gobierno, y sería legal y constitucional para
que lo hagan.
El efecto práctico de todo esto ha sido la supresión total de los
derechos de propiedad privada en los Estados Unidos. Si los ingresos de todos
los estadounidenses es esencialmente propiedad estatal, por lo que significa
que una persona puede obtener cualquier otra propiedad privada? El impuesto
sobre la renta ha hecho todo asalariado en un esclavo del gobierno federal, en
la medida de su libertad depende totalmente del capricho del Congreso.
En 1871, en vísperas de la derogación de la medida de impuesto sobre la

A menos y hasta que se derogue la reforma de impuestos y 98.000
secuaces del IRS son enviados embalaje, los abusos continuarán, como lo han
hecho durante casi un siglo. Sólo cuando el gobierno ya no tiene derecho a
mantener una vigilancia constante sobre los asuntos financieros personales de
todos los ciudadanos podemos comenzar a restaurar los estadounidenses la
libertad que antes se disfrutaban. Como todos los hombres de todas las edades,
los que recibieron extraordinaria y peligrosa energía se utilizan para
tiranizar a los demás, y como tal, este poder especial no tiene lugar en una
tierra libre.

Obama: Serial Liar
Will Rogers, the great humorist,
once said, “If you ever injected truth into politics, you would have no
politics.” If you injected truth into the teleprompter during one of
Obama’s speeches, there would be nothing left but an empty chair.
Fourteen days after the September
11, 2012 attacks, Obama appeared at the United Nations to deliver a eulogy for
the man he had not troubled to save and to declare that the future must not
belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.
Obama denounced the “crude and
disgusting video” that had “sparked outrage throughout the Muslim world” and
explained that it couldn’t be banned only because of the pesky Constitution.
Two days later, the man behind the video, a Coptic Christian protesting the
Muslim persecution of Christians in Egypt, had been arrested. The actual
perpetrators of the attack still walk the streets of Benghazi.
That lopsided injustice appeared to
have been the plan all along. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had told
Charles Woods, the father of murdered Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods, that the
administration was going to arrest and prosecute the man who made the video.
It was the only promise that Obama
and Clinton made about Benghazi which they faithfully kept. Everything else was
a lie. Doubletalk had become an administration habit. Obama would say one thing
and do another. Or he would loudly tell a lie and quietly speak some version of
the truth in order to hedge his bets.
On May 13, 2013, standing alongside
British Prime Minister David Cameron, Obama said, “The day after it happened, I
acknowledged that this was an act of terrorism.” The phrasing suggested an
admission, rather than an assertion. A thing that had to be dragged out of him.
But even that much was not true.
At the United Nations, Obama had not
used the word, terrorism. On 60 Minutes,
he carefully avoided calling it a terrorist attack. There and on The View, he took refuge in
delaying tactics about a developing investigation that was doomed from the
start because the FBI had no power to take any action in a city run by the same
terrorist militias that had carried out the attacks.
In campaign speeches, Obama
mentioned acts of terror, plural and unspecified, while administration proxies
like Susan Rice blamed a YouTube movie trailer for the carnage and Obama and
Clinton spent $70,000 on an apology commercial denouncing the video in Pakistan.
There was no question that the
dominant message coming out of the White House after the attacks was that the
trailer for The Innocence of Muslims was to blame. The infamous talking points
trimmed away any mention of terrorism and reduced a heavily armed attack to a
spontaneous protest over an online movie trailer.
This Sunday, Obama adviser Dan
Pfeiffer was sent to do a tour of the morning shows where he declared that
Obama’s whereabouts during the attack were irrelevant and that the process by
which the talking points were altered was likewise irrelevant.
At his joint press conference with
Cameron, Obama had taken the same line, declaring the investigation a
“sideshow” and insisting that there was nothing there and that no one had known
what was going on. Gregory Hicks, the lead diplomatic figure in Libya, however
had testified that everyone there knew that it was a terrorist attack and that
it had nothing to do with the video.
At 2 AM, local time, Hicks had
briefed Clinton. Despite everything the one man in the position to know what
was happening was saying, the administration chose a disastrous and dishonest
narrative instead.
The dishonesty isn’t ending any time
soon.
At a joint press conference with
Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan, a known supporter of terrorism, Obama once
again shifted the blame to Congress for a lack of security and the failure to
intervene.
The myth that the State Department
lacked the funds to provide security in Benghazi was the defense against
accusations of administration malfeasance. But it’s a myth
that fell apart when Charlene Lamb, the deputy assistant secretary of state for
diplomatic security, testified in Congress that budget issues had not prevented
the hiring of more security personnel.
The Washington Post had pointed out
that Congress would have provided supplemental security funding if it had been
requested. Despite pleas from diplomats on the ground, it was not. Instead the
State Department’s bureaucrats and donor diplomats were busy squandering money
on all sorts of wasteful vanity projects.
The State Department had plenty of
money. It just chose to use it in the wrong ways. It had millions
to spend on
embassy art, ridiculously
overpriced Kindles and even on an Afghan YouTube channel.
At the press conference, Obama went
so far as say, “We’re going to need Congress’s help in terms of increasing the
number of our Marine Corps Guard who protect our embassies” when under him, not
only were 20,000 Marines being fired, but at the presidential debate, Obama had
mocked Romney’s objections to his drastic naval cuts by saying that we no
longer needed outdated horses and bayonets.
The real reason that the Marines had
not been there protecting Benghazi was the same reason that no military forces
came to the rescue once the attack began. It was the same reason that Obama
blamed the video and used the United Nations as a forum for denouncing that
video, instead of denouncing terrorism.
The issue was never the budget. It
was appeasement.
The United States was not incapable
of using armed force over Benghazi. Obama’s first Libya lie, the one that led
to the war, was the claim that Gaddafi forces were about to carry out a
massacre in Benghazi. No such massacre had occurred anywhere or was going to
occur, but it was enough for Obama to go to war, without ever admitting that he
was at war.
Was the military power that was
leveraged to defend Benghazi incapable of being leveraged to defend the mission
in Benghazi? Was overthrowing Gaddafi really easier than protecting American
diplomats and security personnel under siege?
Benghazi was, from beginning to end,
a story of appeasement gone bad. The serial lies by a serial liar have covered
up the ugly truth that American lives were sacrificed on the altar of
appeasement. Four men are dead and a fifth has been locked up to keep the lie
alive.

The chief lawyer for Koch Industries
said Friday that government targeting of conservative
political groups is nothing new to the Wichita-based company.
Chief
legal counsel Mark Holden said the White House, as early as August 2010, was
deliberately trying to politically intimidate Koch Industries.
Holden
said that although he had no direct evidence that the White House had any
involvement in targeting Koch for IRS tax scrutiny, he pointed to what he
described as a "disturbing" comment about taxes and Koch Industries
made by one of President Obama's political advisers, Austan Goolsbee, at a
White House briefing in August 2010.
Because
the IRS is admitting that it deliberately targeted conservative political
groups for extra tax scrutiny, it is worth raising questions about whether the
events are connected, Holden said.
Holden
has publicly criticized the Goolsbee comments before.
"Some
of what I do here reminds me sometimes of the movie 'Groundhog Day,' where I
have to do the same things over and over," Holden joked.
But
Holden said he isn't joking in bringing up the Goolsbee situation again. He
said that when he looks at what Goolsbee said in 2010 and puts it alongside
what President Obama was saying about the Kochs in the same month, and puts
that alongside the fact that the IRS recently admitted it targeted conservative
groups for extra scrutiny, he sees, at minimum, a "disturbing"
pattern of government intimidation.
The
Eagle called the White House for comment about Holden's comments on Friday. The
White House press office asked that the newspaper's request for a response be
outlined in writing, which it was.
By
early evening, the White House had not responded.
"I
am not suggesting anyone broke the law," Holden said, and he pointed out
that the White House later said that no one had tried to access tax
information.
But he
said the Obama administration used the Kochs to scare their own supporters into
donating more to the campaign. And he said what they did went further than
that. He said he and Koch Industries officials believe that "everyone,
whether Democrat or Republican, conservative or liberal or independent or
agnostic," should be concerned at the pattern of behavior exhibited by the
national government in how it handled not only the Kochs but the conservative
groups it targeted for extra scrutiny. At minimum, he said, the government used
scare tactics to intimidate White House opponents.
Many
Americans believe many of the same things the Kochs do about politics and
government, Holden said.
"They
go after the Kochs, who have resources," Holden said. "We're not
asking for empathy or sympathy -- we're big boys and we can take it. But you've
got people who are small business owners, common citizens, who also want their
grievances redressed by the government. It sends a message (of intimidation) to
them as well."
The
Goolsbee situation, which Holden brought up again on Friday, was first reported
in September 2010 by the Weekly Standard.
A few
days before, in August, Goolsbee, a senior economic adviser to President Obama,
was reported to have said the following:
"So
in this country we have partnerships, we have S corps, we have LLCs, we have a
series of entities that do not pay corporate income tax. Some of which are
really giant firms, you know Koch Industries is a multibillion dollar business.
So that creates a narrower base because we've literally got something like 50
percent of the business income in the U.S. is going to businesses that don't
pay any corporate income tax. They point out (in the report) you could review
the boundary between corporate and non-corporate taxation as a way to broaden
the base."
First
of all, Holden said Friday, Koch Industries follows federal law and pays a
great deal of money in taxes. Koch Industries earns billions of dollars a year
and employs 48,000 people in the U.S. (and another 12,000 people in 60 other
countries). "We pay the taxes we are obligated to pay," he said.
But
Holden said one reason he became concerned about what Goolsbee was reported to
have said is that by law, tax records are confidential. Goolsbee's comments
raised the thought that Goolsbee or the White House had broken that
confidentiality illegally, and reviewed the tax records.
In
light of what is now being revealed about the IRS scrutiny of other political
opponents of President Obama, Holden said, it makes him wonder whether these
events are part of a pattern of behavior by a national government unhappy with
criticism.
Goolsbee's
comments did prompt an investigation by the U.S. Department of the Treasury,
Holden said. Several Republican senators demanded that it be done, and it was
done, Holden said.
But the
results of that investigation are not known, Holden said.
He used
the Freedom of Information Act to ask for the file.
But the federal government

MILWAUKEE – Deidri Hernandez’s seven-year-old son won’t be in school today, after officials at Tippecanoe School for the Arts and Humanities confirmed they’re still holding “Switch It Up Day” – a time for students to come dressed as members of the opposite sex.
Hernandez tells EAGnews the day was originally billed as “Gender Bender Day,” but Tippecanoe officials made the name change after she called Principal Jeffrey Krupar to complain.The Milwaukee mother was not impressed.“I didn’t have a problem with the title. I had a problem with the activity taking place,” Hernandez says. She says it’s “ridiculous” and “creepy” to ask elementary boys to come to school dressed as girls, and vice versa, and predicts that having students dress as “transvestites” will distract from the learning process. Hernandez knows of at least one other parent who shares her concerns and plans to hold her child out of class, too.
But it’s the motivation behind “Switch It Up Day” that has Hernandez most concerned.

interrupted three times by a woman who shouted about drones and detainees in

woman was identified as Medea Benjamin from the anti-war group Code Pink.
Benjamin yelled from behind a bank of cameras before security removed her from
the hall at National Defense University in Washington.
Obama
at one point said he was willing to "cut the young lady some slack"
because the issues he was addressing are worth being passionate about.
Benjamin
shouted, quote, "86 were cleared already. Release them today!"
That
appears to be a reference to detainees who remain in Cuba despite being cleared
for transfer from the facility.

Occasionally, a politician
makes an off-the-cuff remark that reveals more about Washington than thousands
of speeches ever could. With one sentence, Joe Biden recently let the cat out
of the bag and affirmed the true intentions of the flurry of proposals for
government studies on violent media that have propagated in the time since
Newtown shootings: that is that they are purely political studies with a purely
political intent to create pseudoscientific cover for a brazenly
unconstitutional agenda.At a recent meeting at the White House between Biden and faith-based leaders Billy Graham’s son Franklin proposed the idea of taxing violence and funneling proceeds to “help victims.” To which Biden replied that there was “no reason why they couldn’t do that.” Now the unconstitutionality of this has sparked no small amount outrage among those who value the First Amendment. But what he says next should alarm them even more. Biden continued by saying, “They really need a good scientific study, which they’ve done on things like smoking.”
Ah, yes. The Study. When it comes to Washington lobbying and public relations, nothing ads credibility to your position like a study confirming the validity of your position. Never mind that your position is in direct violation of the Constitution. Get the results you want from a study, publish it, run a PR campaign, get the media on board and eventually weak-kneed politicians will succumb to your “scientific evidence”.
