Three
career State Department officials – who describe themselves as Benghazi
"whistleblowers" — will testify at Wednesday's widely anticipated
congressional hearing, Fox News
reported, releasing
the names that have been kept a well-guarded secret.
The three men who will testify about the Sept. 11, 2012 attacks, in which U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans were killed, are:

- Gregory N. Hicks, a foreign service officer and former Deputy Chief of Mission/Chargé d’Affairs in Libya
- Former Marine Mark I. Thompson, acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Counterterrorism for the State Department.
- Diplomatic security officer Eric Nordstrom, former Regional Security Officer in Libya. He was the top security officer in the country in the months leading up to the attacks.
They will
appear before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, chaired by
California Republican Darrell Issa.

“I applaud these individuals for answering our call to testify in front of the Committee," Issa said in the statement releasing the names of the witnesses.
"They have critical information about what occurred before, during, and after the Benghazi terrorist attacks that differs on key points from what Administration officials – including those on the Accountability Review Board – have portrayed,” said Issa. “Our committee has been contacted by numerous other individuals who have direct knowledge of the Benghazi terrorist attack, but are not yet prepared to testify.
"In many cases their principal reticence of appearing in public is their concern of retaliation at the hands of their respective employers. While we may yet add additional witnesses, this panel will certainly answer some questions and leave us with many new ones.”
Nordstrom testified before the committee in October 2012, just a month after the assault, telling lawmakers about the series of requests he, Stevens and others made seeking enhanced security at the Benghazi consulate.
The State Department refused most of their requests, leading Nordstrom to angrily declare "for me, the Taliban is on the inside of the [State Department] building."

Hicks and Thompson have not yet spoken publicly about the attacks. Hicks, a veteran Foreign Service officer, has been stationed in Afghanistan, Syria, and Yemen in the past, and received one of Stevens' earliest phone calls during the attack, Fox news reported.
Thompson is an expert who advises "senior leadership on operational counterterrorism matters, and ensures that the United States can rapidly respond to global terrorism crises," according to the State Department website.
Joe diGenova, a former U.S. attorney, and wife Victoria Toensing, a former chief counsel to the Senate Intelligence Committee told Fox this week they are representing, pro bono, two career State Department "whistleblowers" who believe their accounts about Benghazi were disregarded by the Accountability Review board, convened by then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Further, they claimed their clients – whose names they did not discuss in the interview – have faced threats from some superior officers.
“I'm not talking generally, I'm talking specifically about Benghazi — that people have been threatened,” Toensing said. “And not just the State Department; people have been threatened at the CIA….It's frightening….They're taking career people and making them well aware that their careers will be over.”

Benghazi Whistleblower: I Reported Attack Was Terrorism 'From the Get-go'

The second-ranking U.S.
official in Libya during last year’s deadly attack on the mission in Benghazi
immediately considered it a terrorist attack rather than a spontaneous event,
according to a transcript of his interview with congressional investigators.“I thought it was a terrorist attack from the get-go,” Gregory Hicks, a foreign service officer and former deputy chief of Libyan operations, told investigators, according to excerpts of the interview displayed today on CBS’s “Face the Nation” program. “I never reported a demonstration, I reported an attack on the consulate.”
His account contrasted with comments made by Susan Rice, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, after the attack on Sept. 11, 2012. She said it grew out of a “spontaneous” demonstration against an anti-Islamic video that was “hijacked” by militants.
Hicks said he wasn’t contacted by State Department officials before Rice spoke on five Sunday talk shows Sept. 16, according to the interview with congressional investigators.
The Benghazi attack killed four Americans including Ambassador Christopher Stevens and became a flashpoint in last year’s presidential campaign. Republicans criticized officials including Rice for their early accounts of the circumstances.
Hicks is scheduled to testify at a May 8 hearing of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, a California Republican, in a May 1 statement announcing the hearing, accused President Barack Obama’s administration of offering “a carefully selected and sanitized version” of the Benghazi attack.
The Accountability Review Board "report itself doesn’t really ascribe blame to any individual at all. The public report anyway," Hicks told investigators, according to transcript excerpts obtained by CNN. "It does let people off the hook.
"In our system, people who make decisions have been confirmed by the Senate to make decisions," Hicks told investigators."The three people in the State Department who are on administrative leave pending disciplinary action are below Senate confirmation level. Now, the DS (Diplomatic Security) assistant secretary resigned, and he is at Senate confirmation level. Yet the paper trail is pretty clear that decisions were being made above his level."
Hicks specifically mentions Under Secretary of State for Management Patrick Kennedy.
"Certainly the fact that Under Secretary Kennedy required a daily report of the personnel in country and who personally approved every official American who went to Tripoli or Benghazi, either on assignment or TDY (temporary duty), would suggest some responsibility about security levels within the country lies on his desk," Hicks said, according to CNN.
Hicks also told his interrogators that he never had any indication that there had been a popular protest outside the mission in Benghazi.
"I never reported a demonstration; I reported an attack on the consulate," Hicks said. Stevens' "last report, if you want to say his final report, is, 'Greg, we are under attack.'"
Hicks doesn't hold back from slamming the Obama administration.
"You know, it's jaw‑dropping that ‑‑ to me that ‑‑ how that came to be," Hicks recalled, referring to the Obama administration's line that it was a spontaneous protest. "And, you know, I knew ‑‑ I was personally known to one of (U.S.) Ambassador (to the United Nations Susan) Rice's staff members. And, you know, we're six hours ahead of Washington. Even on Sunday morning, I could have been called, and, you know, the phone call could have been, 'hey, Greg, Ambassador Rice is going to say blah, blah, blah, blah,' and I could have said, 'no, that's not the right thing.' That phone call was never made."
CNN reported that Hicks then added that "for there to have been a demonstration on Chris Stevens' front door and him not to have reported it is unbelievable. And secondly, if he had reported it, he would have been out the back door within minutes of any demonstration appearing anywhere near that facility. And there was a back gate to the facility, and, you know, it worked."
Hicks stresses that despite being the senior diplomat in Libya after Stevens was killed, he wasn't consulted at all before Rice went on Sunday talk shows to discuss the attacks.
“Clearly there was a political decision to say something different than what was reasonable to say,” Issa said today on CBS.
Other potential witnesses with firsthand knowledge of the Benghazi attack have been “suppressed” by the administration, Representative Jason Chaffetz, a Utah Republican, said on “Fox News Sunday.”
“There are people, more than one, that have felt intimidation from the State Department,” Chaffetz said.
An April 23 report by Republicans in the U.S. House said the Obama administration presented “misleading” talking points after the attack and removed references to the threat of extremists linked to al-Qaeda in eastern Libya, including information about at least five other attacks against foreign interests in Benghazi.
Shawn Turner, a spokesman for Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, issued a Sept. 28 statement, 12 days after Rice’s appearances, saying the intelligence community had revised its initial assessment and concluded the assault was “a deliberate and organized terrorist attack.”
‘Scrubbed’ Report
Speaking today on “Fox News Sunday,” Representative Stephen Lynch, a Massachusetts Democrat and member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, said there was ’’no excuse’’’ for the administration’s talking points about the attacks.
“It was scrubbed. It was totally inaccurate,” he said. “It was false information.”
Asked whether Rice’s talking points were revised because an al-Qaeda attack didn’t fit with the 2012 Obama presidential campaign’s narrative that the terrorist group was on the run, Lynch said: “I think it was a victory of hope over reality, to be honest with you. They were hoping that this wasn’t the case.”
Still, Lynch said allegations of administration intimidation of potential witnesses were “completely false.”
Witnesses
In addition to Hicks, the witnesses scheduled to testify before Issa’s committee May 8 are Mark Thompson, acting deputy assistant secretary of state for counterterrorism, and Eric Nordstrom, a diplomatic security officer who had been a regional security officer in Libya.
“They have critical information about what occurred before, during and after the Benghazi terrorist attacks that differs on key points from administration officials,” Issa said in a statement.
The Obama administration and congressional Democrats said Republicans are playing politics with the Benghazi incident.
“The politicization of this issue is unfortunate, and it continues unabated,” White House spokesman Jay Carney said at a May 1 briefing.

El problema
de inmigración no puede solucionarse porque las emociones superan a la razón y
lo irrazonable es lo que predomina y perdura.
Las voces que
piden una solución razonada son voces que claman en el desierto. Predican a una
audiencia vacía.
A todos los
niveles el desconocimiento, la ignorancia, el racismo tradicional, el racismo a
la inversa, las agendas políticas, y el ego personal llevado al protagonismo,
producen una serie de puntos de vistas contradictorios que hace imposible un
consenso sobre un problema que está destruyendo la identidad de la nación.
En Miami
tenemos un microsoma del problema migratorio nacional. La llamada ley de Ajuste
Cubana, produce una situación anacrónica porque no está siendo implantada para
el proposito y la época que fue el motivo de si creación. Pero que
se mantiene sustentada por el miedo de los políticos y las voces
públicas a que los llamen enemigos de los cubanos y racistas.
Entonces cada
día vemos en nuestra comunidad, mas enemigos de los cubanos y del pueblo
americano.
Es una
inmigración de enemigos, porque es una inmigración controlada por el enemigo.
A nivel
nacional sucede algo parecido, existe una “ley de ajuste Mejicano”, no escrita,
pero tácitamente aceptada.
Desde que
entran por la frontera, ilegalmente, reciben los beneficios como si fueran
inmigrantes legales, y las autoridades fronterizas, cada día tienen más miedo
de implementar la ley para no ser catalogados de racistas.
Cuando hay
alguien que quiere terminar con este impasse irracional, recibe ataques de la
izquierda demócrata que se está beneficiando por la percepción del inmigrante
de que los demócratas son sus amigos, percepción que se puede considerar
correcta a pesar de la negación de los políticos.
Por otro
lado, la opinión pública, razonablemente enojada, se le nubla la razón por el
enojo y considera la única solución la deportación en masa, sin considerar la
imposibilidad práctica de esta medida.
Cuando surge
una voz que quiere sinceramente la solución del problema, lo que recibe son
ataques de la izquierda y la derecha.
La ley de la
Reforma Migratoria no tiene el menor chance de pasar ni en el congreso ni en el
senado. Es la voz de la razón se ahoga bajo la irracionalidad y los
intereses políticos.
Lo
irrazonable es que ninguna de las dos partes se da cuenta de la necesidad de
legislar de alguna forma el control de inmigración, de no continuar con una
inmigración sin leyes que cada día es más irrazonablemente permitida
Mientras
tanto, el derrame de enemigos se sigue desbordando en nuestras fronteras.
Llenan
nuestras calles, nuestras escuelas, nuestros hospitales, y vacían nuestros
bolsillos, cuando nos aumentan los impuestos para poder cubrir sus gastos.
Al mismo
tiempo se está creando una punta de lanza para la implantación de un nuevo
sistema político social foráneo en la nación.
Oímos muchas voces de protesta, pero muy pocas voces que ofrezcan una
solución pragmática, y cuando aparecen, se convierten como Juan el Bautista, en
voces que claman en el desierto.
Populismo,
Socialismo y Democracia amenper
Tanto el
socialismo como el populismo son posiciones políticas atractivas pero que
frenan y destruyen la salud de la nación y las instituciones que la componen.
Lo vimos en
Cuba, y no estoy hablando de la Cuba de Castro, que fue la culminación de la
destrucción, estoy hablando del populismo y socialismo de la cuba pre-Castro.
Nuestros
líderes eran populistas, socialistas y apartados de la verdadera democracia
representativa.
La democracia
es una condición de la humanidad, más que un sistema de gobierno, y hay que
dejar que siga su curso, no tratar de modelarla a un pensamiento privado.
Cuando
Batista dio el golpe de estado, vimos en muchos la justificación de que evitó
la victoria elecciones del partido Ortodoxo, influenciado por el
socialismo, con ideas intervencionistas empresas como la Compañía Cubana de
Electricidad, la compañía de Teléfonos y otras compañías americanas y domésticas
que habían sido atacadas antes de su suicidio,por el difunto líder de la
ortodoxia Eduardo Chibas.
Por otro lado
existía la justificación de la corrupción de los gobiernos auténticos, sus
líderes y las bandas gansteriles que azotaban nuestra sociedad.
Pero no hay
justificación para el un golpe de Estado el 10 de marzo, hecho inexplicable que cambiaría
el curso de la historia cubana,porque fue la interrupción de la estabilidad democrática, fue como un
aborto a la democracia, que no existía a su plenitud, pero se estaba
gestando paulatinamente en la joven república de Cuba. Esto y el gobierno
autoritario que lo siguió, fue la justificación de la revolución, y todos
sabemos lo que vino con la revolución. Simplemente la exaltación del líder
populista llegó al maximo, con el máximo lider de la revolución
socialista.
En una
democracia representativa el pragmatismo supera al populismo, todo es cuestión
de tiempo y no se deben buscar atajos fuera del sistema democrático.
Si los
radicales del partido ortodoxo, hubieran tomado el control del partido una vez
ganada las elecciones, pero se hubieran mantenido las instituciones
democráticas, las consecuencias del socialismo, sus intentos de intervenciones
y el resultado en los casos que lo lograran, y los resultados negativos en la
economía del país por una administración socialista, hubieran sido controlados
por las instituciones legislativas, se hubieran mantenido los derechos de la
minorías, para evitar los excesos, y se hubieran expuestos por una prensa
libre, la realidad de los defectos en la práctica del populismo socialista.
En las
próximas elecciones, el pueblo hubiera podido escoger un nuevo sistema de
gobierno, sin el espejismo de los cantos de sirenas populista que lo confundía.
En los
Estados Unidos hoy en día tenemos una administración con visos socialistas.
Estamos ante una confabulación del socialismo internacional. El populismo
del socialismo es difícil de combatir, pero lo es más cunado se sale de las
fronteras nacionales para ser parte de una conspiración global en que la
economía se maneja con el capitalismo selectivo de los colaboradores del estado
socialista (Crony-Capitalism).
Pero volvemos
al caso de la Cuba de Batista, en los Estados Unidos todavía no tenemos una
dictadura autoritaria como la de Batista, hay la separación de poderes y
libertad de prensa. Esto es importante y hay que hacer todo lo
posible por mantenerlo.
Por eso es
tan importante no dejar que las emociones nublen la necesidad de estar todos
unidos para poder proteger el corazón de la democracia que es la separación de
poderes.
Cada día que
pasa la separación de poderes se ve más atacada, están tratando de
destruirla.
La
administración instala en el poder judicial a sus peones y cada día el poder
judicial más y más está convirtiéndose en un poder legislativo.
La prensa
independencia que todavía existe, está bajo un barraje de ataques por la prensa
complaciente, que cada día luce más parecida a la prensa oficialista de los
países socialistas.
Ya en las
manifestaciones del Primero de Mayo en Seattle oímos el grito de poner fin a la
explotación del hombre por el hombre para dar paso como sabemos, a la
explotación del hombre por el estado.
Lo que nos
queda son las cámaras legislativas, también bajo ataque de la administración.
Por esto las elecciones parciales del 2016, son tan importante- Si la
administración logra controlar las dos cámaras legislativas, sería el final de
la democracia representativa como la hemos conocido hasta ahora.
Si por
pequeñeces doctrinales, nos abstenemos de votar, tendremos que llorar como
esclavos lo que no supimos defender cuando éramos libres.
La percepción de la Longevidad amenper
La longevidad
es una aspiración de la mayoría de los seres humanos, nadie quiere morir joven.
Pero a medida
que pasan los años y la vejez llega, se vuelve en algo poco deseado.
La mayoría de
las definiciones del envejecimiento destacan sólo sus aspectos negativos, ya
que resaltan la vulnerabilidad, la propensión a las enfermedades, la progresiva
marginación y el inevitable acercamiento de la muerte.
No se
enfatizan los valores de la vejez.
Como sociedad
tendemos a un culto a la belleza y a mantenernos jóvenes, nos asusta la vejez,
no la valoramos ni la asociamos con experiencia o sabiduría como ocurre en
otras sociedades y por ello hay personas que desprecian esta etapa.
A diferencia
de nuestra cultura, en la oriental los adultos mayores gozan de gran respeto y
admiración. El problema es que no podemos mudarnos para China en nuestra vejez,
porque es muy dificil aprender a hablar en Chino después de viejo.
Es una
lástima, porque en el Oriente se asocia la vejez con fuente de experiencia y
sabiduría, y existe toda una tradición de respeto y culto por la ancianidad.
El adulto
mayor es respetado en todo momento, tiene un estatus importante no sólo en la
familia sino en la sociedad, es el depositario de las tradiciones, puede ser un
jerarca y un sabio
En el Oriente
existe entusiasmo y veneración por alcanzar una mayor edad. En China el
joven trata de igualar la pose, la dignidad y la experiencia de una persona
mayor.
Pero no es sólo
en el Oriente donde se ha dado valor a la experiencia que es un resultado del
tiempo que vive una persona. El valor de la experiencia no viene sólo de
los filósofos orientales como Confucio, el empirismo y el racionalismo fueron
teorías filosóficas aceptadas en el viejo mundo.
Los filósofos de
la antigua Grecia, como Aristóteles y los filósofos británicos y alemanes como
Locke y Hume fueron empiristas y racionalistas que le daban un gran valor
a la expriencia adquirida por los años. Aristóteles dijo que “no hay nada
en la conciencia que no haya estado antes en los sentidos”.
El empirismo
enfatiza el papel de la experiencia, para el empirismo la
experiencia es la base de todo conocimiento, no sólo en cuanto a su
origen sino también en cuanto a su contenido. En la antigüedad clásica, lo
empírico se refería al conocimiento que los médicos, arquitectos, artistas y
artesanos en general obtenían a través de su experiencia dirigida hacia lo útil

No cabe duda
de que las leyes científicas no son analíticas y amplían el conocimiento

experiencia o experimento, siempre es mejor, por ser individual y sometida
a condiciones racionales que sólo se obtienen por la observación de las
situaciones vividas.-
La mayoría de
nuestros líderes actuales, o votantes, no tienen experiencias personales sobre
esas cosas, pero millones de estadounidenses de la tercera edad sí. Los
conocimientos son sólo reflejos de lo que hemos visto y oído
Cuando las
encuestas muestran la tendencia conservadora de las personas de edad mayor, lo
hacen con desdén, como si esas personas tuvieran una intelectualidad menor que
los más jóvenes
La experiencia
es la historia vivida por los años. No todas las personas mayores saben hacer
uso de la experiencia vivida, pero todos han sido expuestos a situaciones que
le dan un conocimiento que los jóvenes no pueden apreciar, porque no las han
vivido.
Pero hay algo
que sustenta la filosofía empírica en nuestros días.
Cuando nuestros
líderes tenían la experiencia con la edad, la percepción de nuestro futuro era
mucho mejor que ahora con los líderes sin experiencia.

Desdén
a los viejos es mirar al físico y relacionarlo con la mente
Quizás haya
cierto valor a la definición desdeñosa de una persona mayor como “Un viejo
cagalistroso” si lo consideramos fisiológicamente desde el punto de vista del
movimiento intestinal.
Pero debieran
pensar que el volumen de la defecación no tiene nada que ver con el volumen de
la experiencia

INMIGRACIÓN- EL PROBLEMA SIN SOLUCIÓN, Y LAS VOCES QUE
CLAMAN EN EL DESIERTO.
El problema de
inmigración no puede solucionarse porque las emociones superan a la razón y lo
irrazonable es lo que predomina y perdura.
Las voces que
piden una solución razonada son voces que claman en el desierto. Predican a una
audiencia vacía.
A todos los
niveles el desconocimiento, la ignorancia, el racismo tradicional, el racismo a
la inversa, las agendas políticas, y el ego personal llevado al protagonismo,
producen una serie de puntos de vistas contradictorios que hace imposible un
consenso sobre un problema que está destruyendo la identidad de la nación.
En Miami
tenemos un microsoma del problema migratorio nacional. La llamada ley de Ajuste
Cubana, produce una situación anacrónica porque no está siendo implantada para
el proposito y la época que fue el motivo de si creación. Pero que
se mantiene sustentada por el miedo de los políticos y las voces públicas a
que los llamen enemigos de los cubanos y racistas.
Entonces cada
día vemos en nuestra comunidad, mas enemigos de los cubanos y del pueblo
americano.
Es una
inmigración de enemigos, porque es una inmigración controlada por el enemigo.
A nivel
nacional sucede algo parecido, existe una “ley de ajuste Mejicano”, no escrita,
pero tácitamente aceptada.
Desde que
entran por la frontera, ilegalmente, reciben los beneficios como si fueran
inmigrantes legales, y las autoridades fronterizas, cada día tienen más miedo
de implementar la ley para no ser catalogados de racistas.
Cuando hay
alguien que quiere terminar con este impasse irracional, recibe ataques de la
izquierda demócrata que se está beneficiando por la percepción del inmigrante
de que los demócratas son sus amigos, percepción que se puede considerar
correcta a pesar de la negación de los políticos.
Por otro lado,
la opinión pública, razonablemente enojada, se le nubla la razón por el enojo y
considera la única solución la deportación en masa, sin considerar la
imposibilidad práctica de esta medida.
Cuando surge
una voz que quiere sinceramente la solución del problema, lo que recibe son
ataques de la izquierda y la derecha.
La ley de la
Reforma Migratoria no tiene el menor chance de pasar ni en el congreso ni en el
senado. Es la voz de la razón se ahoga bajo la irracionalidad y los
intereses políticos.
Lo irrazonable
es que ninguna de las dos partes se da cuenta de la necesidad de legislar de
alguna forma el control de inmigración, de no continuar con una inmigración sin
leyes que cada día es más irrazonablemente permitida
Mientras tanto,
el derrame de enemigos se sigue desbordando en nuestras fronteras.
Llenan nuestras
calles, nuestras escuelas, nuestros hospitales, y vacían nuestros bolsillos,
cuando nos aumentan los impuestos para poder cubrir sus gastos.
Al mismo tiempo
se está creando una punta de lanza para la implantación de un nuevo sistema
político social foráneo en la nación.
Oímos muchas voces de protesta, pero muy pocas voces
que ofrezcan una solución pragmática, y cuando aparecen, se convierten como
Juan el Bautista, en voces que claman en el desierto.

Charter School Tells Parents That School Has Right to Censor Daughter’s Pro-Life Speech

Imagine a
group of sixth graders sitting at lunch discussing the lesson they just had on
childbirth. One of those students is your daughter. When another
student asks her how she feels about abortion, your daughter says that it’s
wrong and then decides to hand out pro-life fliers that read:
“Save the baby
humans. Stop abortion.”
Would you
be proud of her actions? Would you encourage her to continue on to stand
up for the biblical principles she has been taught?
Now what
would you do if you were contacted by the school’s director who told you that
other students found the pro-life fliers to be offensive and that your daughter
had to stop handing them out during or after school hours?
That’s
what happened to the parents of a 6th grade girl at Nova Classical Academy (a charter school) in St Paul, Minnesota.
The parents were also told that students are supposed to receive written
permission from the school before handing anything out to other students and
she had not followed the policy. Furthermore, they were told that the
pro-life message was not in line with the school’s educational goals and that
only students enrolled in their School of Rhetoric [high school] were allowed
to participate in political activism.

The Lies Go Deeper Than You Ever Imagined
If you read the newspapers and listen to the perpetual happy talk out of D.C., you might become convinced that the economy is improving.For example, the Bureau of Labor Statistics is supposed to tell us the unemployment rate, and currently it says the rate is 7.6%. But in reality, we’re being misled.
It’s understandable… we all want to believe the best. And most likely you feel a little better off than you did four years ago. You can probably look around your neighborhood and see some people doing just fine.
But the sinister truth is that we’re being lied to. The government is sponsoring a campaign of misinformation, and we’re all the victims of a mass hypnosis.
It leads us to think – falsely – that all’s well in the U.S. of A. But it’s far from it.
A Stark Contrast
I just spent four days on the beautiful Island of Coronado. I was at a board meeting at a 125-year-old resort, the Hotel Del Coronado. All seemed like a fairy tale. I drove into the city of San Diego and had dinner at a lovely Zagat-rated restaurant. I met a group of friends in a skybox, complete with a buffet line, to watch the Padre’s beat up on one of their rivals.
But that’s where the fairy tale ends.
I also took the time to visit the community of El Centro, California. It’s down Interstate 8 from San Diego. In that town, headline unemployment is nearly 23%. Coming upon a church, I saw a line, winding around the block, of people simply wanting a hot meal.
This is the part of America the media is hiding. They don’t want to blemish President Obama. He feels people’s pain, so he can’t be responsible… right?
But the reality is that for every Coronado, America has at least one El Centro.
If you dig deeper and calculate unemployment, adding those people standing in the food line who are unemployed, discouraged and dropping out of the job search, the unemployment rate is 14.3%.
Economist John Williams counts those discouraged workers, and he says national unemployment is 23%.
If this is the actual measure for all of America, we can only imagine what the true unemployment rate is in El Centro.
Digging Into the Numbers
Here are some different ways to look at it. The phony “official” unemployment rate peaked at 8.3%, and that was a 31-year high. It remained over 8% for 41 months, the worst record since the Great Depression.
There were 12.8 million people out of work at the peak of the Great Depression. There are currently 12.3 million out of work today. And only 58% of the population is working, the lowest since 1983. That means a record 100 million working-age Americans are unemployed.
Put differently, the actual rate of unemployment is two to three times the Bureau of Labor’s bullsh… I mean statistics.
And the same is true about prices. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) is a crock of foul-smelling bologna.
The latest CPI reading, which is a measure of inflation, is supposedly 1.6%. However, John Williams believes that the real CPI is actually 9.2%, as calculated by the official U.S. government methodology of 1990.
Why the disparity in the numbers? Put simply, the official methodology for calculating inflation has been manipulated.
The Cruel Reality
If I’ve learned one lesson in my 30 years of political activity and reporting, it’s that the government lies. A lot. Both parties are equally guilty, too.
And the bigger the lie, the more likely people are to believe it. Today’s economic situation is no different.
With that in mind, I assure you this isn’t the last time I’m going to talk numbers. In fact, this is just the tip of the economic iceberg. So stay tuned.

Congress Repeals ObamaCare…
FOR THEMSELVES!
Congress is trying to cut a backroom deal to save themselves
and their staff from having to deal with ObamaCare. While millions of
Americans are already suffering under the weight of ObamaCare on our businesses
and our healthcare system, they think it’s acceptable to try to sneakily save
themselves.
Never mind the good hardworking folks all across this
country who are beat down and worn out from years of the Obama Recession, and
can’t recover because ObamaCare is crushing the economy.
Never mind the outrageous costs that businesses and
families are now facing for healthcare.
Never mind the stagnation of the healthcare market, or
the damage done to that entire segment of the economy.
CONGRESS IS NOT ABOVE THE LAW.
No, for this Congress, their top priority is saving
their own hides from the consequences of bills that THEY THEMSELVES wrote,
didn’t read and shoved down our throats. Perhaps equally outrageous is their so
called “explanation”
Leadership is claiming that this special exemption is
justified – Are you ready for this -- because the healthcare costs of
moving to ObamaCare would cause a “brain drain” on the Hill forcing low-paid
staffers to move to a private sector job and losing their expertise.
BRAIN DRAIN? So you claim there are brains on Capitol
Hill???
Think about it. With this one move, Congress admits
that ObamaCare is such an abysmal failure that the effects of
implementation it will cause their staff will walk.
That said, this move is nothing short of completely
despicable. If the Congress sees fit to exempt themselves from ObamaCare, it’s
time for them to stop the lies and deceit about how great the bill is REPEAL IT
NOW!
We can overcome their deceptions and distractions, but
it’s going to require all hands on deck from patriots at all levels of life.
It’s long past time for Barack Obama and his allies to
surrender this “great policy achievement” to the dustbin of history where it
belongs.

Who In Congress Joined Obama To Support Insider Trading? |

Congress can’t get out of its own way.
Nobody trusts what people on the Hill
are doing, and it seems only a handful of representatives is intent on doing
the “right thing.” Governing responsibly? Listening to the
people? You would think the people who took an oath to do just that and
uphold the Constitution weren’t listening when they raised their right hand.
That is why we are exposing the
shocking hypocrisy and blatant ethics problem of the Stop Trading on
Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act that was signed into law on April 4th
of last year. STOCK barred insider trading on non-public information by
Members of Congress and other government employees. It was almost unanimously
supported in Congress by Members trying to curry favor with their
constituents, as it should have been.
But, while this should have been a
unanimous vote, it wasn’t. There were still Members of Congress who voted
against it, or abstained. We are going to list those who are still Members of
Congress so you will have an accurate reporting (from Open Congress) of who
voted to allow insider trading, and who declined to vote altogether. They
should be held accountable for their position.
That anyone could vote against such a
bill, especially after an explosive “60 Minutes” piece a few months before
exposing insider trading on the Hill, is crazy. But that is not where the
STOCK Act saga ends.
A couple of weeks ago, on April 15th,
Senator Harry Reid introduced S.716, which removed the online disclosure
portion of the STOCK Act. What that means is that Congress is more
protected and less transparent, and if you want information about what
Members of Congress are doing with regard to stock transactions, it is going
to be a huge pain in your rear end to get it.
Congressional aides and executive
branch staffers are exempt altogether from the online database, and the
President, Vice President and Members of Congress do not have to provide
sortable or searchable information.
That vote, it turns out, was
unanimous. S.716 was debated for a full 10 seconds in the Senate, and 14
seconds in the House, before it passed with flying colors by a Congress who
is doing everything in its power to protect itself.
When Obama signed the Act he said,
“It's the notion that the powerful shouldn't get to create one set of rules
for themselves and another set of rules for everybody else…Congress should do
even more to help fight the destructive influence of money in politics and
rebuild the trust between Washington and the American people.”
But despite their public statements
and their “aye” votes, Congress didn’t like it; and as we’ve pointed out,
there were a few Members who didn’t like it so much they actually voted
against it, without worrying what the public would think.
They spent the next year delaying
implementation and “temporarily” amending provisions. Supposedly, their
heartburn was over the fact that the Act requires them to post their
financial information and communications online, and they said this would
jeopardize their safety and also discourage others from entering public
service.
That is why it really shouldn’t come
as a surprise that they slipped the amendment S.716 through, but it is,
because in the face of transparency and accountability, it is just shocking
that our representatives think they can get away with it.
Remember, EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF CONGRESS
just voted to make STOCK Act information harder to get, exempting thousands
of federal employees; but a handful of Members voted against the Act in the
first place—which is to say they refused to sign on to legislation that would
prevent insider trading in Congress. Some lost their seats, but those who are
still in Washington are listed below:
In the Senate, Mark Kirk (R-IL)
abstained, and Richard Burr (R-NC) and Tom Coburn (R-OK) voted against it.
In the House, John Campbell (R-CA) and
Rob Woodall (R-GA) voted against it, and these representatives abstained:
Democrats Earl Blumenauer (OR), John Carney Jr. (DE), Donna Edwards (MD),
Marcia Fudge (OH), Michael Michaud (ME), and Bennie Thompson (MS); and
Republicans Mike Rogers (MI), Bill Shuster (PA), Lynn Westmoreland (GA) and
Don Young (AK).
No wonder everyone is fed up with

Uribe solicitará protección internacional tras las acusaciones de Nicolás Maduro
(CNNMéxico) El abogado del expresidente
colombiano Álvaro Uribe, Jaime Granados, dijo este domingo que acudirá ante la
Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (CIDH) para pedir protección para
el exmandatario, ante las acusaciones del presidente venezolano, Nicolás
Maduro.
“En las próximas horas acudiré a la Comisión Interamericana de Derechos
Humanos para solicitar que se adopten medidas cautelares a favor del
expresidente de la República Álvaro Uribe, toda vez que con los actos
desplegados por el señor Maduro se pone en riesgo su vida e integridad física”,
indicó Granados en un comunicado.El viernes pasado, Maduro acusó a Uribe de ser un “asesino”, y de dirigir un plan para matarlo, con la incursión de paramilitares en territorio venezolano.
“Dichas expresiones (de Maduro) son el reflejo de una persona desesperada que de forma ilegítima ostenta el poder y que ahora, para tratar de desviar la atención de la corrupción e ilegalidad que promueve la dictadura que dirige, pretende a través de calumnias y amenazas buscar chivos expiatorios donde no los hay”, agregó el abogado Granados.

Russian Calls Out Obama As A Communist
Barack Obama is called a pure Communist by the Russian Press and many in Russia are making that statement. Maybe that is why the Boston Bombers could get away with what they did. It seems that Russia knew that the older brother was one to watch and they informed our intelligence community of it, yet the FBI once again failed because they “did not want to inflame people with Jihad connections or ideology!” Obama has declared that the United States will not “attack” those who hate the United States and instead, Obama wants to try to appease the situation in the terrorists’ favor. One individual, a man named Xavier Lerma, who wrote many articles about Obama and what he has done, along with calling the people of the United States stupid and ignorant for putting him in office has openly called Obama a Communist! His article, “Obama’s Soviet Mistake,” discusses why what Obama is doing now has been done before in Russia and it failed.
Mr. Lerma stated:
“Putin in 2009 outlined his strategy for economic success. Alas, poor Obama did the opposite but nevertheless was re-elected. Bye, bye Miss American Pie. The Communists have won in America with Obama but failed miserably in Russia with Zyuganov who only received 17% of the vote. Vladimir Putin was re-elected as President keeping the NWO order out of Russia while America continues to repeat the Soviet mistake.”
This was in the first paragraph of his article where he made the statement about President Obama, “Well, any normal individual understands that as true but liberalism is a psychosis . O’bomber even keeps the war going along the Mexican border with projects like “fast and furious” and there is still no sign of ending it. He is a Communist without question promoting the Communist Manifesto without calling it so. How shrewd he is in America. His cult of personality mesmerizes those who cannot go beyond their ignorance. They will continue to follow him like those fools who still praise Lenin and Stalin in Russia. Obama’s fools and Stalin’s fools share the same drink of illusion.”

An Open Letter To The U.S. Secret Service
Dear Sirs and Madams,
It must be getting tougher by the day to serve two masters. On one hand, you must serve the American people by upholding the U.S. Constitution; you have sworn to God that you would defend and protect it while serving in the capacity of protecting the office of the President of the United States. On the other hand, you must protect the Muslim/Communist plant who currently holds this office. It must be an extremely tough job, knowing that you may have to take a bullet for someone who is hell-bent on destroying America. You must not get very much sleep at night.
You are bound by your oath to protect a man who wouldn’t think twice about throwing you under the bus, such as he did with the Latin America hooker scandal. You are forced to go out and investigate average American citizens just because they have the GUTS to stand up and voice their opinions against this illegal regime. I believe that your efforts would be better served if you upheld your OATH to the Constitution and investigated the DOMESTIC ENEMY in the White house (a job that Congress and the mainstream media couldn’t seem to find time to do.) You may be surprised.
Why don’t you start with Obama’s ties to the Weather Underground TERRORIST Bill Ayers. Or maybe the illegal gunrunning operation known as Fast and Furious. Or, if you get bored with that, try the illegal gunrunning operation through Turkey into Syria, during which our U.S. Ambassador and three other brave Americans were killed in Benghazi, Libya (the Obama regime continues to cover this up.) Or maybe you can look into the reasons why LTC. Terry Lakin, the chief surgeon for the joint chiefs of staff, refused to deploy to Afghanistan because he had reason to believe that Barack Hussein Obama is not a legal POTUS.
How about going back to basics and just starting the vetting process of Obama himself? I’m sure that Dr. Orly Taitz ESQ could help you out with that one. Much to investigate there, from a FORGED birth certificate to a stolen social security number and forged draft card. Or how about studying what the Constitution says about a President of the United States heading up the United Nations Security Council? No need to chase your tails around the U.S. to make sure that NATURAL BORN AMERICAN CITIZENS are not a threat to the office of the President. THE REAL THREAT TO AMERICA IS THE PRESIDENT, BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA! Godspeed, my friends, if you do your jobs and investigate the man whom YOU are supposed to take a bullet for. As I always tell my readers, stay safe and be aware of your surroundings.
