Cada día oímos más voces comparando a
Benghazi con Watergate.
Esto creo que es
algo bueno, porque lo mismo que Nixon tuvo que renunciar para evitar la
impugnación, las comparaciones establecen el hecho de que Obama debe renunciar

Pero como yo viví la
época de Watergate, tengo que establecer que hay grandes diferencias.
Para poder explicar lo
que fue Watergate vamos a hacer una comparación con un juego de pelota.
Estamos en el sexto
inning con el juego 1 a 1 y dos hombres en base viene el pitcher a batear y el
manager manda un emergente que se poncha. En el próximo inning le hacen dos
carreras al nuevo pitcher. Los managers de tertulia critican al manager
por haber mandado un emergente que se ponchó, pero si el emergente hubiera
bateado un jonrón, el manager hubiera sido considerado un genio.
Lo mismo pasó con
Watergate, pueden decir que fue idiótico haber tratado de robar documentos en
una oficina de la campaña, pero si no los hubieran detenido y hubieran
encontrado lo que buscaban, que eran pruebas del financiamiento de Fidel Castro
a la campaña de McGovern, hubieran sido unos héroes.
La diferencia del
encubrimiento también es mayor por hechos en sí.
En Watergate no hubo
muertos, fue un delito de escalamiento (breaking and entering) un delito menor
comparado al crimen evidente de abandonar a oficiales del gobierno sin
prestarle ayuda para que fueran asesinados por el enemigo.
Además la diferencia en
la conducta de la prensa en cuanto al encumbrimiento de Watergate y
Benghazi, también es, enormemente diferente. A nadie en aquel
momento, como casi un año después de los hechos de Watergate, se le hubiera
ocurrido decir cómo están diciendo ahora de Benghazi, que fue algo del
pasado que es noticia vieja. Como hubiera un tiempo de limitación para un
asesinato
Estamos frente a un doble
encubrimiento, el descarado encubrimiento del gobierno y el culpable
encubrimiento de la prensa.
En Watergato se
ensañaron con Nixon, le hicieron pagar el haber puesto en ridículo a Nikita en
el debate de la cocina.
Ahora están tratando de
encubrir lo que está abiertamente al descubierto, que lo que sucedió fue
como un asesoramiento de asesinato por parte de nuestro gobierno que facilitó
la operación de ataque del enemigo, algo nunca visto en la historia de los
Estados Unidos.
Además el crimen de la
administración al negar los hechos, llamándolo un producto de una manifestación
de una protesta por un video, negando una y otra ven que se trataba de un
ataque terrorista, para ayudar a la campaña política de Obama, es algo que es
un encubrimiento vergonzoso que no se puede defender

House Speaker John Boehner is calling on the White
House to release a series of key emails between a State Department official and
the Libyan consulate following the Sept. 11, 2012, terror attack in Libya which
could demonstrate a whitewash of the events.
On Sept. 12, 2012 – the day after the attack that killed four Americans and four days before U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice’s five Sunday show appearances – a senior State Department official emailed her superiors to alert them that the terror attacks were conducted by Islamic terrorists, Boehner told reporters at a press briefing on Thursday.

"The State Department would not allow our committees to keep copies of this email when it was reviewed," Boehner said. "I would call on the president to order the State Department to release this email so the American people can see it."
The White House continues to claim it made only "stylistic" changes to the talking points used by Rice, ignoring the fact that senior White House officials directed the changes to the talking points, Boehner said, referring to testimony from a House Oversight and Investigation Committee hearing held Wednesday on the attack.
A recently released interim report on an investigation by House Republicans into the attacks quoted specific emails in which the White House and State Department insist on removing all references to a terrorist attack to protect the State Department from criticism for providing inadequate security, Boehner said. A few members of Congress were able to review these emails, but they were not allowed to keep them or share them with others.
"Last November, the President said he was 'happy to cooperate in any way Congress wants,'" Boehner said. "This is his chance."
"The truth shouldn’t be hidden from the American people behind a White House firewall," Boehner continued. "Four Americans lost their lives in this terrorist attack. Congress will continue to investigate this issue, using all of the resources at our disposal."

Three Benghazi whistleblowers appeared before the
House Oversight Committee on Wednesday to shed some light on the deadly
terrorist attack that claimed the lives of four Americans, including U.S.
Ambassador Chris Stevens, State Department official Sean Smith and former Navy
SEALs Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods.Several stunning revelations were made throughout the hearing, however, there were a few things that stood out.
Here are the five key things to take away from Wednesday’s Benghazi hearing:
5. State Department Official Fingered Terror Group Day After Attack
One of the biggest points of contention in the Benghazi investigation has been: Why did the Obama administration initially blame the terrorist attack on a YouTube video when there was no apparent evidence to support that theory?
During the House Oversight Committee hearing on the Benghazi attack, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) read from an email sent by Beth Jones, the acting assistant secretary for Middle Eastern affairs at the State Department, to Benghazi whistleblower Gregory Hicks and other top administration officials. In it, she fingered Ansar al-Sharia, a radical Islamic terror group, as the perpetrator behind the attack after the Libyan government speculated that they might be ex-Gadhafi forces.
The email was sent the day after the attack on Sept. 12, 2012 — well before the Obama administration started pushing the YouTube video narrative.
“I spoke to the Libyan ambassador and emphasized the importance of Libyan leaders continuing to make strong statements,” the email read. “When he said his government expected that former Ghadafi regime elements carried out the attacks, I told him that the group that conducted the attacks, Ansar al-Sharia, is affiliated with Islamic terrorists.”
Gowdy said the email was previously unreleased, but not classified.
4. Who Is Lt. Col. Gibson?
Benghazi whistleblower Gregory Hicks repeatedly brought up a man by the name of Lt. Col. Gibson. Other than the fact that he was a Special Operations Command (SOC) Africa commander, we don’t know much else about him.
But more importantly, we don’t know what else he knows about the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2012. On the night of the Benghazi attack, Gibson was “furious” when a stand down order was given, preventing Special Forces from intervening in Libya, Hicks testified.
Hicks said Gibson wanted to bring the Americans trapped in Benghazi home, but was unable to act. Does Gibson know who personally issued the stand down order? Does he know how far up the chain of command the order originated?
These are questions to keep in mind as the investigation proceeds.
3. Benghazi Witness Told Not to Speak With Congressional Investigator Alone
Hicks on Wednesday also revealed that he was told by Obama administration officials not to talk with Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) unsupervised.
A State Department lawyer accompanied the delegation and tried to be in every single meeting he was involved in, Hicks claimed.
Chaffetz, who traveled to Benghazi after the attack to investigate, also claimed back in October that the administration assigned a State Department attorney to follow him in his every “footstep” during his investigative trip.
2. Whistleblower ‘Effectively Demoted’ After Questioning Benghazi Talking Points
Gregory Hicks told members of Congress that he has been “effectively demoted” from his position as deputy chief of mission shortly after he questioned United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice’s explanation that the Benghazi attack was the result of a spontaneous protest sparked by a YouTube video.
Hicks, the former deputy chief of mission under murdered U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, now holds the title of foreign affairs officer in the Office of Global Intergovernmental Affairs.
“In hindsight I think it began after I asked a question about Ambassador Rice’s statement on the TV shows,” Hicks said, after being asked what the “seminal” moment had been in all of his new professional criticism.
1. There Was a Stand Down Order
Though some the details are still fuzzy, someone issued a stand down order that prevented Special Forces from traveling to Benghazi to intervene after the attack.
Hicks, the former deputy chief of mission for the U.S. in Libya and the highest ranking official in the country at the time of the Benghazi attacks, testified that either AFRICOMM or SOCAFRICA issued the stand down order, though he didn’t have a name or where the command originated.
Hicks said Lt. Col. Gibson, a Special Operations Command (SOC) Africa commander, was “furious” after receiving the stand down order. “Lt. Col. Gibson was furious. I had told him to go bring our people home. That’s what he wanted to do,” he said.

Private investigator Neil Sankey, using Intelius, Lexis
Nexis, Choice Point and other public records, found around 25 Social Security
numbers connected with Barack Obama’s name.
However, it may not be as many as 25, since Sankey
also searched using closely related names such as: "Barak Obama,"
"Batock Obama," "Barok Obama," and "Barrack
Obama." There may very well be some Kenyans living in America with the
same last name and a similar first name. In any case, I will exclude these
records for the purpose of this research and focus only on names spelled exactly
like his name.
Moreover, we can verify many of the Social Security
numbers as valid since they’re connected to addresses at which we know Obama
resided. Needless to say, there are also a slew of address and social security
numbers connected to addresses in states that Obama has no known connection to.
In Obama’s home state, Illinois, Sankey tracked down 16 different addresses for a Barack Obama or a
Barack H. Obama, of which all are addresses he was known to have lived at. Two
Social Security numbers appear for these addresses, one beginning with 042, and
one starting 364.
In California, where Obama
attended Occidental College, there are six addresses listed for him, all within
easy driving distance of the college. However, there are three Social Security
numbers connected to these addresses, 537 and two others, each beginning with
999, which are not valid SSNs.
There are no addresses listed in New York where he attended Columbia University, but there is one listed for him
in nearby Jackson, NJ, with a Social Security number beginning with 485.
In Massachusetts -- where
Obama attended Harvard Law School -- we find three addresses, all using the 042
Social Security number. After Obama was elected to the United States Senate in
2005, he moved into an apartment at 300 Massachusetts Ave NW; the Social Security
number attached to that address is the 042 one. Yet,
three years later, Obama used a different Social Security number for an address
listed as: 713 Hart Senate Office Building. This was the address of his United
States Senate office. This Social Security number began with 282 and was
verified by the government in 2008.
This mystery grows even stranger as other addresses and Social Security numbers
for Barack Obama appear in a dozen other states not known to be connected to
him. Again, I am excluding those records names not spelled exactly like his
name.
Tennessee, one address
with a Social Security number beginning with 427
Colorado, one address, with a
Social Security number beginning with 456.
Utah, two addresses, with two Social Security numbers
beginning with 901 and 799.
Missouri has one address and one
Social Security number beginning with 999.
Florida has two addresses listed
for his him, three if you count one listed as "Barry Obama." One is
connected to a Social Security number beginning with 762.
In Georgia there are
three addresses listed for him, all with different Social Security numbers:
579, 420, and 423.
In Texas there are four different addresses listed for
him, one is connected to Social Security number 675.
There are two addresses listed for Barack Obama in Oregon and one address listed for
him in the states of Wisconsin,
Michigan, South Carolina, and Pennsylvania.
All told, there are 49 addresses and 16 different Social Security numbers listed for a
person whose name is spelled "Barack
Obama." In some cases, the middle initial "H" is listed. If
you were to expand the search to include closely related names such as:
"Barac," "Barak," and "Barrack" Obama, you would
find more than a dozen additional addresses and Social Security numbers.
Finally, the one Social Security number Obama most frequently used, the one
beginning with 042, is a number issued in Connecticut sometime during
1976-1977, yet there is no record of Obama ever living or working in
Connecticut. Indeed, during this time period Obama would have been 15-16 years
old and living in Hawaii at the time.

In her affidavit, Daniels states that she has located

10. Failure to take the steps necessary to secure our borders and stem the flow of illegal immigration, termed as “repel invasions” in our United States Constitution in Article 1, Section 8 and Article 4, Section 4.
Obama has failed to defend US soil in Arizona as Mexican troops bring illegals and drugs into the USA, crossing the border doing so. This is a direct violation of Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution.
11. Inappropriately commanding the release of strategic oil reserves and providing Brazil $2 billion for its offshore oil exploration.

Gen. Hayden: Continuing Benghazi False Narrative 'Not Forgivable'

The continuation of a false narrative for weeks after the terrorist
attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya that left U.S. Ambassador Chris
Stevens and three other Americans dead is "not understandable and is not
forgivable," former director of the National Security Agency and Central
Intelligence Agency Gen. Michael Hayden told Newsmax TV.
Hayden, in an exclusive interview, said he's been in the shoes of the State Department staff who had to deal with the aftermath of the Benghazi terrorist attacks. Knowing what they were going through, he tells Newsmax that he doesn't want to accuse anyone of wrongdoing in how they handled the situation while it was ongoing – or immediately afterward.
But he is curious about why so few options were available in the first place and why the State Department and the White House weeks later were sticking with the narrative of a demonstration over a video.
"I’ve been in these kinds of circumstances where if you’ve got a worldview, if you’ve got a narrative that you believe in, you try to make the facts presented to you fit the narrative," Hayden said. "I fear there may have been some people in our government who kind of fell into that trap in the days after Benghazi, which is understandable and, frankly, forgivable, and then in the weeks after Benghazi, which is not understandable and is not forgivable."
"Anyone like me who saw those events would quickly conclude it was a terrorist attack," Hayden said. "It was fairly complex, synchronized, direct and indirect fire weapons on multiple locations, and it took place in a part of Libya that was the heartland of the Libyan Islamic fighting group."
"I mean, the immediate explanation that this was a bad movie review, that just beggared comprehension," he said.

You don’t have to do anything bad or stupid or unwise for bad things to happen, he said. He's more concerned with what happened before and after the Benghazi events.
Wednesday's testimony touched on that, he said, but added that more questions need to be answered.
"If you had this very short menu of very bad choices to make during the event, why is that? Why do you put people in harm’s way the way we did when there was solid intelligence that Benghazi was very dangerous?" he said. "And then, afterward, I guess I would say don’t treat me like a child. It’s very obvious as to what happened here so give me some clarity, rather than obfuscating what really happened on the ground."
In a report three months after the events, former Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen and Ambassador Thomas Pickering concluded that, indeed, few options were available, and Hayden said he believes, after hearing Wednesday's testimony, that everyone on the ground did exactly what they should have.
"They were choosing from a short list of very bad options," Hayden said. "My point is, why is there only a short list of very bad options? Why did you create the circumstances in which there was almost nothing that could be done to save the ambassador and the other individuals?"
When he was head of the National Security Agency every intelligence report was sent with his name on it regardless of whether he personally knew about it, so he isn't surprised that some had then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's name on them.
Still, the report by Mullen and Pickering found "systemic failures and leadership and management deficiencies."
There were lots of mistakes in Benghazi, Hayden said, "The question is, just at what level were they finalized?"

Families say insane rules of engagement cost their sons' lives

WASHINGTON – The National Press Club in Washington
fell silent as Charles Strange recalled how he leaned over to whisper into
President Obama’s ear to ask if there would be a congressional investigation
into the death of his son.
President Obama whispered back, “We will look very,
very, very deep into this.”
But Strange says he hasn’t heard a word since that
encounter with the president at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware on Aug. 9,
2011, when the remains of 30 U.S. troops were brought home from Afghanistan.
Navy SEAL Team VI special forces serviceman Michael
Strange was killed in what is considered the worst loss of American lives in the
war in Afghanistan, the downing of a Chinook helicopter in Afghanistan on Aug.
6, 2011, that killed all 38 people on board.
That included 25 American special operations
personnel, five U.S. Army National Guard and Army Reserve crewmen, a U.S.
military dog, seven Afghan commandos and an Afghan interpreter.
The circumstances of the incident raised troubling
questions for family members of those killed, but they couldn’t convince
Congress to launch an inquiry. Families of three Navy SEAL Team VI special
forces servicemen killed in the attack took their case to the public Thursday
and held a news conference to demand an investigation.
They feel their sons were targeted for retaliation by
the Taliban after Vice President Joe Biden revealed, and the administration
then confirmed, that it was a Seal Team VI unit that had killed Osama bin Laden
just three months earlier.
The families question the sudden replacement of seven
Afghan commandos on board the helicopter just before take-off. The seven who
died in the attack are not the seven listed in the flight manifest. The
families say, to this day, none of them know who those dead Afghans were.
That leads the families to wonder if the original
commandos may have tipped off the Taliban as to who was on board.
When WND asked Billy Vaughn, father of killed Navy
SEAL Aaron Vaughn, if he thought the attack was an inside job, he said, “Yes.”
The families suspect the Taliban set a trap by
starting a firefight and then luring the SEALS.
A series of factors combined to make the family
believe this attack was carefully planned and not just the result of a random
“lucky shot,” as the U.S. military brass had told them.
Billy Vaughn said the SEALS were ferried by a
Vietnam-era Chinook helicopter rather than their customary state-of-the art
special forces choppers because of a shortage of those models, due to an
increase in special operations ordered by the president. The Taliban were
apparently aware of that situation and could have been waiting for the
opportunity to target the older and much more vulnerable aircraft.
Before landing the Chinook, U.S. fighters were not
allowed to clear the area of potential enemies with suppressing fire because
there could possibly have been civilians in the area.
Lt. Col. (Ret.) Allen West, a former congressman, said
to put a Chinook into an operation that had been going on for hours with no
suppressing fire was “incomprehensible.”
The Chinook was attacked at its most vulnerable
moment, just as it was landing.
The U.S. military said the helicopter was hit by a
rocket-propelled-grenade, but that would have to be such a “lucky shot.” Some
suspect the craft was more likely hit by a heat-seeking missile.
The families say they can’t understand why the
chopper’s black box was never recovered. One father noted that officials often
recover the black boxes of commercial airplanes from the bottom of the ocean,
but they can’t find this one in an Afghan stream.
U.S. troops were unable to return fire because of
rules of engagement and the possibility of “friendlies” in the building from
which the attack was launched. West called that “unconscionable.”
Vaughn said a high-ranking member of the U.S. military
told him the American mission in Afghanistan was to change the hearts and minds
of the enemy. But he said his son didn’t join the military to change the
enemy’s mind.
Karen Vaughn said rules of engagement that aim to
change the hearts and the minds of the enemy “are more important (to the U.S.
military) than the life of my son.”
And former Navy SEAL Benjamin Smith wondered, “Are we
not Shariah-compliant already?”
Vaughn said he called House Speaker John Boehner,
R-Ohio, to inquire about the death of his son and received no answer. He said
the office of the Democratic Chairman of the Armed Services Committee told him
to “quit harassing Sen. (Carl) Levin.”
The families say the circumstances are so suspicious,
and there are so many unanswered questions, that the situation demands a
congressional inquiry. But aside from such attendees at the news conference as
Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., and Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, their pleas have
fallen largely on deaf ears.

Luego apareció su propietario, Jeffrey Loria, despidiendo no solo a quienes no habían dado la talla, sino desmantelando al equipo, incluyendo a jugadores que demostraron ser valiosos. Loria alega que hay que rebajar la nómina y comienza a canjear a todo el talento que le quedaba a los ya deteriorados Marlins; apenas deja a dos de los más conocidos y contrata a jugadores de las Ligas Menores, sin experiencia en los diamantes de las Mayores, lo que provoca un aumento en el desaliento de la fanaticada.
Todo lo anterior conlleva a un inicio de la nueva temporada con total desgano por parte de los fans que quieren ver jugar béisbol del bueno. Se caen las ventas, la fanaticada si acaso ve por televisión los juegos, o los escucha por la radio. “Un equipo perdedor no interesa en Miami”, dijo un fanático con los que NHR.com habló en el estadio.
Así las cosas, han ido aumentando los problemas, pues los concesionarios en el Marlins Park andan quejándose, los nuevos negocios cancelan sus contratos, y los Marlins se ven regalando entradas y cerrando secciones del parque por la falta de público a los encuentros.

They Destroyed Our Country
They knew Obama was an unqualified crook; yet they promoted him. They knew Obama was a train wreck waiting to happen; yet they made him president, to the great injury of America and the world. They understood he was only a figurehead, an egomaniac, and a liar; yet they made him king, doing great harm to our republic (perhaps irreparable.)
We are talking about the Clintons, Pelosi, Reid, Schumer, Frank, Wasserman-Schultz, Biden, Leahy, Durbin, Murray, Kennedy, Hagel, Kerry, Dodd, Hoyer, Baucus, and many others.
They all knew Obama was an empty suit; yet for private gain and personal advancement, they trampled on the flag, betraying the very people they claim to serve, preferring Party to principle. During the 2008 campaign, they said he was unqualified, ill-prepared, and unsuited for the office. Yet when his crooked ways carved out primary victory, they jumped on board the Ship of Fools, stoking his engine with lies, deception, and propaganda. Hillary knew he stole victory; but like a good Party operative, she buttoned her lip and took orders, submitting to authority and covering criminality.
The Ship of Fools also carried members of the ‘progressive’ propaganda press, people who made it a full time job to promote the Democrat agenda and the joke called the Obama Administration: Chris Matthews, Rather, Maddow, Schultz, Olbermann, Moyers, Sullivan, Friedman, Huffington, Sharpton, and Krugman and legions of others.
They banded together with the likes of Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, George Soros, Saul Alinsky, Khalid Al-Mansour, Rashid Khalidi, and legions of other radical Islamists, communists, and assorted America-haters. Embarrassingly, many Republicans and so-called conservatives either helped the farce along or were used as pawns in the promotion of the hoax. But the greatest disgrace of all were evangelicals. Through sloth or ignorance, they either voted for the poser or stayed at home on election day.
And what progress have the “progressives” delivered?
- A ruined economy.
- Insurmountable debt.
- Bankruptcy.
- Record numbers on disability and food stamps, a dependency class mushrooming out of control.
- Federal despotism.
- Domestic chaos, violence, and deepening divisions.
- Systemic demoralization.
- Emboldened enemies.
- Erosion of constitutional protections.
- Looming tyranny.
- Loss of global standing.
They knew he was a catastrophe. They knew ObamaCare was a train wreck. They knew. Yet they proceeded, and they may have destroyed our country. For that, they can never be forgiven.

Video maker blamed for Benghazi remains jailed
But term has nothing to do with sparking Muslims to demonstrate
It was no less than President Obama who blamed the
Benghazi terror attack on an obscure video trailer posted on the Internet
called “Innocence of Muslims.”
And it was Secretary of State Hillary Clinton who promised the
father of one of the Americans killed
that she would see to it that the person who made the video was arrested and
prosecuted.
That claim came from Joe Woods, the father of slain
Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods, who spoke with Clinton when the body of his son
arrived in the U.S. from Benghazi.
Woods said Obama also spoke with him at the ceremony
but was “totally insincere.”
“His face was looking at me, but his eyes were looking
over my shoulder,” he said, “like he could not look me in the eye. … totally
insincere … more of a whining type of ‘I’m sorry.’”
He said Clinton also came over to talk.
“She did not appear to be one bit sincere at all. She
mentioned that thing about we’re going to have that person arrested and
prosecuted who did the video.”
So what about that filmmaker, Nakoula Basseley
Nakoula?
He’s been in jail since the controversy erupted,
officially for reasons unrelated to his “offense” against Islam.
A lawyer for the filmmaker told WND his client was
serving time for a probation violation and is scheduled to be released this
fall from a prison in Latoona, Texas.
The issue was all over Twitter, where one person commented, “It’s crystal clear that
the terrorists who killed four Americans in Benghazi weren’t spurred on by an
anti-Islam video, despite what administration officials wanted the public to
believe. But nearly eight months after the attacks, ‘Innocence of Muslims’
filmmaker Makoula Basseley Nakoula still languishes in prison.”
Critics of the Obama administration point out that a
year in jail for a probation violation appears out of the ordinary.
The Associated Press has reported the man behind the
video had violated a probation order and acquired a driver’s license under a
false name.
He had been on probation in a bank fraud case.
The plea agreement accepted by U.S. District Court
Judge Christina Snyder last fall put Nakoula behind bars, but none of the
offenses was related to “Innocence of Muslims,” which portrays the founder of
Islam as a religious fraud and pedophile.
The New York Times called the video “crude” and said it depicted Muhammad as “a bloodthirsty,
philandering thug.”
The newspaper described Nakoula, 55, as “a Coptic
Christian born in Egypt.”
The Obama administration clung for weeks to the story
that it was Muslims upset over the video who spontaneously rioted in Benghazi,
killing Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three others. U.N. Ambassador Susan
Rice made the claim on five morning news shows the Sunday after the attack.
But the claim was contradicted by Mohammed Magariaf,
president of Libya’s National Assembly, who said it had “nothing to do” with
the attack. Evidence has mounted ever since that it was an organized attack on
the U.S. by a group affiliated with al-Qaida.
A witness at today’s House panel hearing on Benghazi,
Gregory Hicks, the former deputy chief of mission in Libya, said his jaw
dropped when he heard Rice blame the video.
Hicks said the YouTube video was a “non-event” in
Libya.
The New York Times said, “Militants interviewed at the
scene said they were unaware of the video until a protest in Cairo called it to
their attention.”
The video was described as an “amateurish project”
that might have “disappeared quietly.”
WND has reported that a sub-plot to the issue is that the CIA, under Gen. David
Petraeus, purportedly was using the Benghazi mission to coordinate U.S. aid to
Syrian opposition groups.
WND reported that the U.S. facility in Benghazi was not a consulate and at no point
functioned as one, according to informed Middle East security officials.
Instead, the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi
served as a meeting place to coordinate aid for the rebel-led insurgencies in
the Middle East, the security officials said.
Among the tasks performed inside the building was
collaborating with Arab countries on the recruitment of fighters – including
jihadists – to target Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria.
Furthering the story, WND reported claims that Paula Broadwell, the alleged mistress of
Petraeus, revealed a secret CIA detention center in Benghazi in a public speech
she gave just weeks after the attack.
Broadwell, a former counter-terrorism operative,
co-authored a bestselling biography of Petraeus. She discussed the book in a
keynote speech Oct. 26 at a University of Denver alumni symposium.
In a question-and-answer session, Broadwell was asked
about the Sept. 11, 2012, attacks against the U.S. mission in Benghazi.
She stated: “Now I don’t know if a lot of you heard
this, but the CIA annex had actually had taken a couple of Libya militia
members prisoner. And they think that the attack on the consulate was an effort
to try to get these prisoners back. So that’s still being vetted.”
