Netanyahu en las próximas Elecciones? ¿Conteo a Armagedón?
Benjamín
Netanyahu ha sido un buen gobernante es estos momentos críticos en el Medio
Oriente. Ha sido lo más fuerte que hubiera podido ser un gobernante en Israel
ante la situación que sus mejores aliados lo han abandonado, y en el caso de
Obama, no sólo lo ha abandonado pero lo ha atacado.
Esta
conducta de Obama, posiblemente le cueste las elecciones a Netanyahu, a quien
la oposición conservadora califica de “blando”.
O
sea que las políticas de Hillary, Obama y Kelly, enemigos de Israel que han
tratado a Netanyahu como un estúpido, traerá por consecuencia que alguien más
radical tome el poder.
El
Presidente elige a Netanyahu como el chivo expiatorio, como alguien a quien
culpar por la falta de paz en el Medio Oriente y esto es más que mera aversión
personal, que sin lugar a duda la hay. Es el resultado de una política
estadounidense que ha tratado en vano de inclinar el terreno de juego
diplomático a favor de los palestinos mientras se busca un arreglo con Irán,
que podría permitir que se convierta en un estado nuclear.
No
es el Netanyahu supuestamente “estúpido” el que no logra la paz en el medio
oriente, es Obama, quien ha alienado a moderaros y radicales, y radicalizado a
los gobiernos árabes en el proceso.
A
finales de octubre cuando dos funcionarios de la administración, dijeron al
periodista Jeffrey Goldberg que el primer ministro israelí Benjamín
Netanyahu fue un "cobarde" y un “estúpido” por no haber hecho las
paces y aceptado la autoridad Palestina; estas fuentes de Goldberg se jactaban
de que el Presidente había impedido que Israel bombardeara las plantas nucleares
de Irán y que le reprendiera por no estar dispuestos a hacer más
concesiones en las negociaciones con los palestinos.
Este
conflicto centrado en la voluntad de los íntimos del Presidente de insultar a
un aliado estadounidense, llamándolo cobarde y estúpido, en un momento cuando
el Presidente y su equipo han sido abiertamente reacios a presentar una
posición de fuerza contra naciones como Rusia e Irán parece una perspectiva
equivocada en cuanto a donde está realmente la estupidez y la cobardía.
La
guerra durante el verano más que nunca demostró que la causa de la parálisis en
el "proceso de paz" es la negativa de los palestinos a reconocer la
legitimidad de Israel como estado judío — o como un estado, punto. ¿Así que
porque decir que Israel tiene que reconocer la legitimidad del estado Palestino
unilateralmente?
Con
las conversaciones nucleares entre Estados Unidos e Irán continuando en el
otoño, el régimen islamista ha tenido buenas razones para creer que su posición
diplomática se está volviendo más fuerte, no más débil. Teherán continúa con
evasivas a la Agencia Internacional de energía atómica sobre las inspecciones
de sus propias plantas nucleares. Al mismo tiempo, la administración de Obama
fue presentar propuestas extrañas (como desconectar las tuberías entre las
centrifugadoras).
Esto

tiene información sobre Irán que no tenemos nosotros, y me preocupa que como
dijo en una entrevista posterior, que no hay tiempo para ningún tipo de demora.
Sin
lugar a dudas no es tan fácil, hace falta coraje y liderazgo como el de Reagan,
pero es la única solución cuando tratas con fanáticos envalentonados por lo que
perciben como nuestra flojedad.
Si
los Estados Unidos hacen un ataque quirúrgico los ataques del mundo serán
muchos, pero no muy duraderos como pasó en el caso de Libia.
Pero
si Israel bombardea a Irán, el mundo se unirá para destruir a
Israel,(Armagedón)
Entonces
la administración de Obama cargará sobre su legado una desgracia más, el final
de nuestro único aliado en el Medio Oriente, o según algunas interpretaciones
bíblicas, Armagedón, el final del mundo..

Sunday, Cheney said there was ‘no comparison’ between the tactics and the
deaths of American citizens on September 11, 2001, adding that the CIA had
‘very carefully avoided’ the practice of torture.
‘Torture is what the Al-Qaeda terrorists
did to 3,000 Americans on 9/11. There is no comparison between that and what we
did with respect to enhanced interrogation,’ said Cheney.
The former vice president also said he
wasn’t concerned about that some of the foreign nationals captured and
interrogated turned out to be innocent.
‘I have no problem as long as we achieve
our objective and our objective is to get the guys who did 9/11 and it is to
avoid another attack against the United States,’ he said.
His comments come in the wake of a
damning Senate report into the CIA treatment of Al-Qaeda suspects that has
triggered global revulsion.

was carefully coached by the Obama White House to sound apologetic and humble,
Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) fired at him with both barrels. And it resulted in this

“The pervasiveness of your quotes is so much
that it has to be more than that. It has to be more than an episodic mistake
that you made,” Gowdy grilled. He went on, “What did you mean when you said you
wish that you had been able to be transparent, but you’d rather have the law
than not?”
Gowdy is
speaking on behalf of the American people, who are seeing their insurance
premiums skyrocket thanks to this law which was passed with the help of
political criminals like Gruber. There should be serious legal repercussions
for Gruber’s deceitfulness.

sólo a los oficiales envueltos en el caso, pero a la institución de la policía
y al sistema judicial.
Vemos cómo el
senado ha abierto un reporte sobre las tortura a tres terroristas de alto nivel
para obtener informes necesarios durante los ataques terroristas en Septiembre
del 2001, un reporte parcializado con un énfasis para destruir a la
institución de contraespionaje.
La desaparición de
la CIA, los cambios en la institución de la policía, y los cambios en el
procedimiento judicial, son cambios revolucionarios, que resultan familiar en
el proceso para desmantelar instituciones establecidas en el sistema existente,
un proceso de erosionar el poder para la transformación de un nuevo sistema. No

de diversas miradas que procuran explicar cada uno de los acontecimientos.
En ese contexto y de modo recurrente, sobrevuela una estrategia argumental que
tiene un marcado sesgo utilitarista y que se apoya en los hipotéticos
resultados exitosos obtenidos. Desde allí, pretende advertir que una decisión
política es instrumentalmente más conveniente que otra.
Es una gran tentación hacerlo. Es muy inocente caer en esa infantil trampa. De
hecho hasta los más inteligentes, inexorablemente incurren en esta práctica,
buscando tomar un atajo para demostrar sus eventuales razones.
Ese sendero procura conducir hacia una especie de camino breve que demuele
cualquier comentario desde una pretendida objetividad manifiesta. A veces
parece que se tratara de la ingenua tarea de ganar una pulseada mental para
señalar que cierta idea ha sido más eficaz que otra.
En ese tipo de debates se corre el riesgo de vaciar de contenidos el valioso
flujo de ideas. Sería bueno enriquecerlo con nuevos ingredientes en vez de
buscar aplastarlo todo como metodología secuencial. El uso de datos técnicos,
de estadísticas y cifras, no deja de ser solo una perspectiva particular sobre
lo que ocurre y siempre puede alejar a la verdad.
La mayoría de los sectores políticos que gobiernan, y muchos de sus defensores
acérrimos, apelan a este tipo de razonamientos de dudosa fortaleza. Sostienen
que durante una etapa de tiempo consiguieron que un aumento del salario real,
récord de exportaciones o una masiva compra de vehículos nuevos, por solo
citar ejemplos tan reiterados como irrelevantes.
Un peligro evidente es creer que esos números, demuestran algo realmente
importante, sin visualizar que esos datos son cambiantes, que pueden revertirse
velozmente y desmentir lo antedicho con excesiva simplicidad.
Es cierto también que esos movimientos políticos, tienen un manual preparado
para su rutinaria manipulación informativa. Saben de antemano que cuando los
vientos son favorables se adjudicarán el mérito, y cuando todo muestre lo
contrario, encontrarán rápidamente un culpable, hecho a la medida, para
endilgarles la responsabilidad del cambio de rumbo.
En realidad, el análisis esencial debería basarse en una escala de valores de
orden conceptual. No se está mejor o peor porque un indicador u otro así lo
determinen, sino en la medida que esas presuntas mediciones sean compatibles
con los objetivos definidos como prioridad en un momento.
Que una persona obtenga más dinero no garantiza que sea dichoso. Pero tampoco
el hecho de que consiga más ingresos lo convierte en desdichado. Si el
parámetro fuera su felicidad, pues la evaluación no debería pasar entonces por
indicadores que no pueden explicar una correlación directa.
Con las sociedades pasa algo muy parecido. En una comunidad, inclusive, esto
constituye un fenómeno de mayor complejidad ya que supone la existencia de una
voluntad difícil de establecer, ya que los objetivos de la misma no se pueden
fijar con tanta contundencia porque se trata del deseo de la suma de muchos
individuos con características y metas disimiles.
El dilema de fondo es interesante y merece ser discutido con suficiente
profundidad. La libertad es un valor superior, lo es también la vida y por
supuesto la propiedad, por solo citar los ejemplos más elementales.
Para medir el éxito de un sistema político, es imprescindible enfocarse en esas
cuestiones y no en meras fórmulas estadísticas sin contenido y supuestos
utilitaristas prejuicios tan encarnados en la sociedad moderna.
Aunque suene algo extraño, importa muy poco que un sistema económico sea
eficiente en términos de índices si lo hace a costa de limitar libertades,
irrespetar vidas humanas o apropiarse de lo ajeno. Esto mismo podría decirse en
términos inversos, es decir en el caso de sistemas menos eficientes pero que
permiten mayores márgenes de libertad individual, respeto a la integridad
humana y al derecho de propiedad.
Estos debates pueden conducir innecesariamente hacia un callejón sin salida
porque ponen en el centro de la escena a mediciones superfluas. La comparación
con el deporte tal vez ayude, aunque a veces justamente este esquema es el que
invita al error. En la actividad competitiva, muchos suponen que lo importante
es ganar, y entonces los métodos, el estilo y hasta los ardides, no parecen ser
primordiales y pasan a segundo plano.
Sin embargo para otros es posible que lo importante sea divertirse, disfrutar,
compartir con amigos o hacerlo en armonía. En ese caso, si se gana será mucho
mejor, pero igualmente anecdótico. Lo significativo no habrá sido el resultado,
sino todo lo demás, claramente más importante.
Los números no están de más y pueden aportar un extra, un plus que agrega, y
hasta convertirse en una consecuencia natural de todo lo fundamental.
Nuevamente, como dirían los analistas deportivos, existen más oportunidades de
ganar un campeonato jugando bien que haciéndolo mal, mostrando talento que
siendo incapaz. Sin embargo, es probable que el mundo actual prefiera
inclinarse frente a la linealidad que proponen los argumentos exclusivamente
estadísticos.
El desafío es discutir las cuestiones de fondo, las trascendentes, las
esenciales, superando la mediocridad que propone el debate superficial que se
apoya en la mera conveniencia del corto plazo. Las sociedades maduras son
aquellas que han logrado darle el espacio necesario a las discusiones vitales
sin caer en el perverso juego de utilizar los números circunstanciales para
demostrarlo todo. Hay que evitar tropezar con esa dinámica que solo invita a
exhibir un argumento demasiado frágil.

see racism everywhere,” charged Judge Jeanine Pirro, who pulled no punches

In an interview with Black Entertainment Television, Obama played directly to
the frayed emotions of his audience, claiming that racism remains “deeply
rooted” throughout the country.
In
fact, Obama used the phrase “deeply rooted” three times in a matter of seconds
as he spoke about the ongoing controversy and violent protests arising from
racially charged events in Ferguson and New York City.
In a
post on breitbart.com,
William Bigelow describes what Obama said as “playing the race card more
overtly than ever before.”
In Obama’s
interview, which will be broadcast Monday evening, he intoned, “This is
something that is deeply rooted in our society, it’s deeply rooted in our
history.
When you’re
dealing with something as deeply rooted as racism or bias… you’ve got to have
vigilance but you have to recognize that it’s going to take some time, and you
just have to be steady so you don’t give up when we don’t get all the way
there.”

Cruz, Lee Lead GOP Senate Attack on Spending Bill
First
it was objections by House Democrats that stood in the way of passage of a $1.1
trillion catchall spending bill. Now it's the Senate Republicans' turn,
specifically Ted Cruz of Texas and Mike Lee of Utah.
The
two lawmakers demanded a vote Friday night on a proposal to cut funds from the
bill that could be used to implement President Barack Obama's new immigration
policy, ending any chance the measure could clear the Senate and be sent to the
White House with a minimum of fuss.
Officials
in both parties said the bill remains on track for clearance by early next
week. Even so, the move led Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., to abandon
plans to adjourn the Senate for the weekend, and raised the possibility of a
test vote on the spending bill shortly after midnight on Saturday.
Senate
Republican leaders have pledged to challenge Obama's immigration policy early
in the new year, after the GOP takes control of the Senate. But Cruz suggested
they shouldn't be entirely trusted to keep their pledge.
"We
will learn soon enough if those statements are genuine and sincere," he
said, in a clear reference to Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell and Speaker
John Boehner.
Ironically,
Cruz and Lee played a major role in events slightly more than a year ago that
led to a partial government shutdown — an event McConnell, Boehner and most
Republicans have vowed to avoid repeating. This time, Republican officials said
they may have inadvertently given Reid an opening to win confirmation for
several of Obama's nominees that might otherwise have languished.
With
the end of the two-year Congress approaching, Reid is pressing to confirm about
20 Obama nominees to fill posts such as surgeon general, director of the Social
Security Administration and federal judgeships.
The
spending measure tops the remaining items on a quarrelsome Congress' agenda.
Others include renewing tax breaks for individuals and businesses and a
government program supporting the market for insurance against terrorist acts.
In one bit of progress, the Senate sent Obama a sweeping defense policy measure
by a big bipartisan vote.
Earlier
Friday, the controversial spending package won a personal endorsement from
Obama and was brought before the Senate.
Obama
acknowledged that the measure has "a bunch of provisions in this bill that
I really do not like," and said the bill flows from "the divided
government that the American people voted for."
Obama
has sided with old-school pragmatists in his party like Reid, but he's split
from leading liberals such as House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.,
and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass. Warren blasted the measure in a Senate
speech for the third straight day, saying it was a payoff to Citigroup, whose
lobbyists helped write a provision that significantly weakens new regulations
on derivatives trading by Wall Street banks.
"Enough
is enough. Washington already works really well for the billionaires and the
big corporations and the lawyers and the lobbyists," Warren said.
"But what about the families who lost their homes or their jobs or their
retirement savings the last time Citi bet big on derivatives and lost?"
Another
provision loathed by many Democrats — though backed by the Democratic National
Committee — raises the amount of money that wealthy donors may contribute to
political parties for national conventions, election recounts and headquarters
buildings.
Democrats
will lose control of the Senate in January because of heavy losses in midterm
elections last month and will go deeper into a House minority than at any time
in nearly 70 years.
Lawmakers
from both parties came to the floor to praise the underlying spending measure,
which provides funding to keep nearly the entire government operating through
the Sept. 30 end of the current budget year.
The
sole exception is the Department of Homeland Security, which is funded only
until Feb. 27. Republicans intend to try then to force the president to roll
back a new immigration policy that removes the threat of deportation from
millions of immigrants living in the country illegally.

Journalists
of all stripes have long complained about the current administration’s lack of
openness in dealing with the media despite claims that it is the “most transparent” in history.
While
plenty of reporters lament their limited access to unbiased information,
however, Fox News correspondent Monica Crowley revealed that many of her
colleagues are more than happy using their influence to shill for Barack Obama.
Crowley
penned a recent editorial for the Washington Times in which she
recalled a conversation with one broadcast network reporter who revealed the
sycophantic inner workings of her newsroom.
The
unidentified woman described herself as a conservative, Crowley wrote, though
she explained that she has never revealed that information for fear of losing
her job. The veteran newswoman said that, while her industry has long leaned to
the left, reporters have taken an even more partisan tone in dealing with the
current White House.
“Every
morning,” she told Crowley, “we hold a meeting about how to build that
evening’s broadcast. We’ve been doing this for decades.”
Those
meeting have always had an “unspoken” liberal undertone, she noted; however,
the 2008 presidential election cycle showed a specific bias toward Obama.
“Once
Obama pulled ahead of Hillary and certainly once he became president, the bias
came out of the closet,” the source told Crowley. “Now, every morning when we
meet to discuss that night’s show, they literally say – out loud – ‘How do we
protect Barack Obama today?’”
This
anecdote is hardly the only evidence suggesting newsrooms actively work on
Obama’s behalf instead of fulfilling a commitment to impartiality. Crowley
shared a conversation with another fellow journalist, Fox Business’ Melilssa
Francis, who recalled a similar pressure to carry water for the administration.
When
Francis reported inaccuracies surrounding the math behind Obamacare during her
time at CNBC, she said executives raked her over the coals for “disrespecting
the office of the president.”
Former
CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson has also made news in recent months for her assertion that she was forced out of her job due in
large part to her criticism of the Obama administration.

nine seats in the midterm elections—more than even the most generous
prognosticators were expected—giving the GOP control over the U.S. Senate come
January. And on Saturday evening, as his chamber readies the so-called
“CRomnibus” spending bill for package, Reid has agreed to allow a vote on a
measure from Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on questioning the constitutionality of
President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty.
“Forcing a vote on the
constitutionality of Obama’s amnesty is important for two reasons,” Cruz said
in a statement his office provided to Breitbart News. “First, since President
Obama enacted his unilateral amnesty after the elections, Democrats have never
been made to answer for it. Tonight, they will and they will show America
whether they stand with a lawless President, who is defying the will of the
voters or the millions of Americans who want a safe and legal immigration
system.”
Cruz went on to detail more
reasons why this fight was important.
“Second, it allows Republicans
to also show they are committed to ending Obama’s amnesty once and for all in
the next Congress,” Cruz said. “If we agree it is indeed unconstitutional, we
have no business funding it when the GOP controls Congress last year. The
Constitution matters, and we must defend it. That is why we have fought so hard
to ensure this vote.”

Ex-CIA Interrogation Chief Warns of Betrayal
Jose Rodriguez, former head of the CIA Counterterrorism Center and
National Clandestine Service said Sunday that Rep. Nancy Pelosi and other
members of the Intelligence Committees of both houses were aware of all the
enhanced interrogation techniques his agency was conducting on terrorism suspects.
Rodriguez disputed charges in the recently released Senate Intelligence Committee report that he withheld information on any of the techniques from elected officials in Congress or the White House.

"All of these people knew exactly what we were doing," Rodriguez said.
Despite her recent denials, Pelosi knew about all the techniques, he said. "She never objected to the techniques at all."

and friends. They need a little history lesson on what's what and it doesn't

Social Security Cards up until the 1980s expressly stated the number and card were not to be used for identification purposes. Since nearly everyone in the United States now has a number, it became convenient to use it anywayand the message, NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION, was removed.
