Creo que en
otras ocasiones he mencionado que sólo leo el Wall Street Journal y Fox
News. Sin lugar a dudas estos medios de noticias tienen
una inclinación hacia la economía de mercado y la democracia representativa,
pero presentan objetivamente también los puntos de vista opuestos, algo que no
vemos en los medios de comunicación liberales.
Por esto me
sentía molesto ante el hecho que la prensa que se supone que represente a todos
los puntos de vistas, mantuviera un silencio cómplice en el caso de Venezuela.
Solamente
pudimos refugiarnos en las noticias en español, la prensa en inglés ignoró
completamente la lucha del pueblo Venezolano.
Pero ahora,
como un oasis en el desierto, el periódico de más circulación en el mundo, el
Wall Street Journal, ha publicado en su editorial principal sobre lo que me
preocupaba. Cómo la constante atención al caso de Ucranía, que aunque válido
está a miles de millas del contienente y el silencio a un caso similar en
nuestro patio trasero.
Ya alguno de
sus periodistas como Maria Anastasia O´Grady habían hecho artículos sobre
Venezuela, pero ahora la editorial del periódico ha hecho por primera vez como
editorial del periódico la denuncia que estábamos esperando.
Porque este hijo
de Putín Venezolano ya está maduro.
“Hombre Fuerte” Nicolás Maduro intenta
aplastar a la oposición.
Mientras el mundo sigue estando fascinado por la lucha de Ucrania
y con las ambiciones imperiales de Vladimir Putin la otra protesta contra la autocracia sigue viva en
Venezuela.
Desde el 3 de febrero, los venezolanos han estado en las calles de ciudades
de su país en protesta por la represión política e incompetencia económica del
Presidente Nicolás Maduro. Aunque la magnitud de las protestas ha disminuido
bajo la presión de las milicias armadas del señor Maduro, eventos el
martes indican de que el forzudo venezolano sigue preocupado por su futuro.
Maduro anunció el arresto de tres generales de la fuerza aérea, diciendo
que habían conspirado para derrocar su gobierno. Más allá de eso, él no
proporcionó ningún detalle de la noticia, ni nombres de los generales. Hizo el
anuncio en un discurso en una reunión en Caracas de los cancilleres
de Unasur, la Unión de países de América del sur. Los ministros de
relaciones exteriores vecinos debieran de estar avergonzados de ser parte de
esta farsa, al menos aquellos de los países sudamericanos todavía capaces de
vergüenza.
El lunes, el gobierno echó a la líder prominente de la oposición María
Corina Machado del Parlamento para privarla de la inmunidad parlamentaria y
prepararse para su arresto. Cuando trató de denunciar este delito:
apelando en Panamá a la organización de Estados americanos estos no la dejaron,
cediendo a las protestas de Venezuela.
Como Ucrania, la protesta de Venezuela merece la atención del mundo.

AMENPER: La separación de la Iglesia y el Estado
Y la libertad de culto.
La separación
de la iglesia y el estado y la libertad de culto es algo que esta incrustado en
el nacimiento de esta nación, algo de lo que no teníamos un concepto tan
arraigado y al que no prestábamos atención en nuestros países.
Creo que los
Estados Unidos comprenden la diferencia de la separación de la iglesia y el
Estado y la libertad de culto como dos derechos distintos y separados.
Los primeros
inmigrantes a este país eran perseguidos en un país donde no existía la
li8bertad de culto, donde no podían expresar sus creencias. No
existía la libertad de culto porque Inglaterra era una teocracia donde la
iglesia era el estado. Esto no era una excepción, muchos países en
esa época eran teocracias, ya fueran como la de Inglaterra anglicanas o
católicas, protestantes Luteranas o Calvinistas y las siempre presentes
teocracias musulmanas.
Por esto este
país condenó las teocracia en su constitución, prohibiendo que una institución
religiosa fuera obligatgoria y gobernante que el país fuera una
teocracia. Esto llevaba implícito que cada persona tenía el derecho
a su creencia y a rendir culto a esa creencia.
Pero esta gente
de la nueva ola nos ha cambiado la baraja. Nos han sacado de la manga la baraja
de que separación de iglesia y el estado quiere decir que no podemos ejercer la
libertad de culto.
Lo que han
hecho es crear una nueva Iglesia del estado que prohíbe la libertad de culto.
Esa nueva
iglesia que se llama ateísmo, es la nueva teocracias en los Estados
Unidos. Ellos tienen la potestad de decirnos que no podemos tener
nuestras creencias, y sus sacerdotes nos condenan y castigan cuando expresamos
nuestras creencias.
Creo que los
padres fundadores de esta nación, si vivieran en estos Estados Unidos se
montarían en un nuevo Mayflower buscando tierras en que pudieran practicar sus
creencias.
Porque el
verdadero significado del Mayflower es la búsqueda de la libertad.

You see, years before the annexation of Crimea chilled U.S.-Russian relations, Exxon had struck a multi-billion-dollar deal with Rosneft. Rosneft needed the expertise of Western oil companies, and Exxon was happy to access Russia's plentiful resources.
So in 2011, the companies formed a $500-billion joint venture to explore for oil in a Russian-controlled part of the Arctic Ocean. In addition, the partners now plan to frack shale fields in Siberia, drill a well in the Black Sea and construct a natural gas export terminal in Eastern Russia.
In fact, the bond between Exxon and the Kremlin has gone beyond a business venture. Last summer, Vladimir Putin awarded Chief Executive Officer Rex Tillerson the Order of Friendship, a reward for work intended to strengthen relations with the Russian Federation and its people. So it's safe to say that, when it comes to oil, the relationship between East and West has never been so cozy.

A Conflict of
Interest
Of course, that's a far cry from the frigid rapport that Moscow and
Washington currently enjoy. The overthrow of Ukraine's pro-Russian government,
coupled with Russia's defiant invasion and annexation of Crimea, has
U.S.-Russian relations hovering just above Cold War levels.
The United States has levied sanctions against Russian officials in hopes of deterring Putin from further encroaching upon Ukraine's territory. However, Russia remains unfazed, and further sanctions could be forthcoming. President Obama is even asking other Group of Eight nations to consider booting Russia from the G-8.
The problem is that Exxon and Chevron (CVX) (which has also entered into several joint ventures with Russian oil companies) aren't thrilled with Washington's maneuvering. Igor Sechin, the Chief at Rosneft, warned the West that more sanctions could cause Moscow to look elsewhere for new business and energy alliances... and that's something the oil majors definitely don't want.
On top of that, both Exxon and Chevron are truly international businesses - despite being headquartered in the good ol' U.S. of A. Ultimately, their loyalty is to shareholders, not Washington, D.C.
As Bloomberg BusinessWeek noted, former CEO Lee Raymond once said, "I'm not a U.S. company, and I don't make decisions based on what's good for the U.S."
Which means that if the United States pursues sanctions restricting American companies from doing business in Russia, Exxon may choose to push back. The company could lobby Congress to take a different approach that would prevent potentially huge losses.
Exxon wouldn't be alone, either. In Canada, businesses with Russian interests have already begun urging the government to reconsider imposing tougher sanctions. A number of mining companies, as well as oil and gas firms (including Kinross Gold Corporation (KGC)), have ties to Russia and could potentially take a major hit from tougher sanctions.
Regardless, the U.S. government appears set on tightening the economic noose. As Charles Ebinger, Director of the Energy Security Initiative at the Brookings Institution, said, Congress' hawkish members will want to put the screws to Russia - and the White House, tired of looking weak, will likely oblige.
It should be interesting to see how the struggle between political powers and corporate interests plays out in the coming months.

AMENPER: Libertad y Economía, el Legado de
Ludwig von Mises
Existen dos filosofías económicas antagónicas el
capitalismo y el socialismo como existes dos filosofías religiosas, el
cristianismo y el ateísmo. Pero existen innumerables variaciones de
teorías económicas y numerosas variaciones de denominaciones institucionales
cristianas.
A pesar de esto en medio de estas gamas y a pesar
de lo absurdo e improbables que sean de algunas de sus doctrinas, cualquier institución que
rechaza el ateísmo y acepta la deidad de Cristo y su plan del sacrificio
vicario por nuestros pecados, se tiene y se debe de considerar como
cristiana-
Lo mismo sucede con las diferentes filosofías
económicas las que rechazan el socialismo y aceptan la economía de libre
mercado, se pueden considerar como capitalistas a pesar de tener agregadas
algunas filosofías absurdas socialmente.
Por esto sin duda votaría por Rand Paul si
es electo como candidato del partido republicano, a pesar de que preferiría que
fuero otro el candidato, por el miedo que tengo a que un libertario fuera
presidente de los Estados Unidos. Rand Paul es hijo de su padre, y
aunque no se presenta como su padre, y siempre tengo reservas sobre su
pensamiento. Ron Paul, el padre de Rand, ha dicho abiertamente que está de
acuerdo con la relaciones con Cuba y de permitir que Irán desarrolle armas
nucleares y que se legalicen las drogas.
Dicho esto, en cuanto a lo económico, los libertarios
tienen unos conceptos que hasta considero más pragmáticos en cuanto al
capitalismo que los conservadores. Ya que desde Ludwig von Mises, uno de los
padres del Libertarismo, ellos previeron la posibilidad del peligro de un
capitalismo de amiguismo con el estado que estamos sufriendo hoy en los Estados
Unidos, y hace ya algunos años en Cuba y Venezuela.
Una de las cosas tenemos que admirar y reconocer de lo que dice Mises y otros de la teoría austriaca es como explica con una claridad absoluta cómo funciona el ciclo económico. Hacen énfasis en que toda producción requiere tiempo. También transcurre tiempo entre el inicio de la producción y el consumo. Todo el que ha puesto un nuevo producto en el mercado tiene por la experiencia que reconocer la verdad de este axioma por lo que se hace evidente la importancia que estos autores le daban al ahorro en relación con el tiempo en el que se invierte y la duración de dicha inversión. . Para Mises el protagonista de la economía es el emprendedor, de manera que tendrá éxito siempre que los precios generados en el mercado cubran sus pérdidas, de este modo irán arruinándose los empresarios menos competitivos favoreciendo la innovación y el progreso. Todo este proceso de mercado hace que los condicionantes de la oferta y de la demanda produzcan cambios en el mercado de forma continua, por lo que un modelo estático no puede plasmar la realidad.

También Mises nos habla de las relatividad del dinero,
algo que vivimos en Cuba los que fuimos testigos de las variaciones del dinero
como los cambios de moneda y las confiscaciones de bienes. El elemento
central que compone la teoría del valor misiana es que el cambio objetivo
(poder adquisitivo) del dinero es el que genera las peculiaridades que tiene,
ya que sin capacidad de poder adquisitivo no se haría uso del dinero. Es este
elemento el determinante de la demanda y dependerá del valor subjetivo que cada
ciudadano tenga del dinero. Por otro lado, el valor subjetivo de cada individuo
depende del valor subjetivo del resto de bienes económicos en relación con el
dinero.
Todo esto sin lugar a dudas está en completa armonía
con la visión conservadora pura de la economía.
Los libertarios plantean como los
conservadores, lo perjudicial del poder e intervención gubernamentales en
la economía que, según su teoría, por lo general llevan a un resultado distinto
al natural y por esto muchas veces perjudicial para la sociedad, ya que generan
caos en el largo plazo.
Su rechazo a la praxeología es otro principio
conservador, la praxeología que es un método matemático aplicado a las ciencias
económica-sociales no puede ser usada en referencia a cómo la mente humana
estructura el pensamiento de modo que, conociendo dicha estructura, podemos
deducir a priori los postulados que guían las decisiones individuales de cada
sujeto.
Este método sería similar al usado en matemáticas y en
lógica. Para Mises no es posible un estudio a través de la experiencia por la
imposibilidad de que existan constantes en las relaciones entre variables pero
así no trabaja el ser humano.
Por eso vemos que en el pasado nos decían que por su
crecimiento constante matemáticamente en el año 2000 el hambre sería
generalizada en todo el mundo y la tierra sería una selva de cemento y asfalto
donde no habría árboles. Había una película en los años setenta titulada
“Soylent Green” el gobierno usaba los cuerpos de los seres humanos que se
suicidaban voluntariamente para hacer unas galleticas proteínicas que se
llamaban Soylent Green, o sea que los seres humanos de estarían comiendo entre
ellos mismos.
Al año 200 pasó y no sucedió anda de los que estos
economistas y ambientalistas nos predijeron, seguimos comiendo galleticas
“africanas” que son hechas de azúcar, harina y chocolate, no del cuerpo de
africanos. Porque la fraseología de la praxeoilogía es una utopía
que no toma en consideración la ingeniosidad de la mente humana.
En la obra “La Acción Humana”, Mises crítica el
método matemático y la observación de datos como estudio de la economía, de
hecho, considera que dichos métodos pueden ser usados en el análisis de la
historia económica, como para analizar el fracaso del comunismo en los países
en que se ha implantado, pero no son válidos para entender o predecir el
comportamiento humano. Ello se debe a que las simplificaciones y los problemas
técnicos en la recogida de datos modifican de tal modo la relación entre las
variables que puede alterar la relación y causalidad que, a priori y basándonos
en hipótesis deductivas, persigue el ser humano para alcanzar su fin. Dicho de
otro modo, todo estudio de la economía a través de datos empíricos es un
estudio de hechos pasados y por tanto no sirve para deducir una pauta de
comportamiento en los individuos
La consecuencia de aplicar este sistema a las ciencias
sociales es que el estudio de la “economía” no solo mide las relaciones humanas
mesurables, si no aquellas que no pueden medirse en términos monetarios, pero
presentan relaciones de intercambio, siendo dicho conjunto conocido como
“acción humana” y representando este concepto un tramo de acción acotado, que
posteriormente formando fenómenos complejos sea el que defina el comportamiento
del individuo
En resumen, que cuando la economía de libre mercado
trabaja sin trabas, no se puede ni se debe hacer predicciones matemáticas,
porque la mente humana no conoce límites, como no sea los limititos que nos
produce la intervención de un gobierno socialista.
Libertad es el tema que han tomado los disidentes en
Cuba, y es muy apropiado, es el mismo lema que tenemos en los Estados Unidos
ante las intenciones de los socialistas del siglo XXI.
La mente es el tesoro mayor que nos dio Dios cuando
nos creó a su imagen y semejanza, con libre albedrío, y es el deber del hombre
de usar esos atributos, no dejarse llevar por los pensamientos de los que nos
gobiernan, sea quien sea, sino por lo que nos dice nuestro poder de
razonamiento que viene de la libertad de pensamiento que Dios nos dio.

El
11 de Septiembre del 2001, dos aviones secuestrados por terroristas se
estrellaron contra las Torres Gemelas en la Ciudad de New York. Estas
torres gemelas eran el símbolo de New York y de la fuerza económica de Wall
Street y los Estados Unidos. Fue un golpe contra el sistema
económico del mercado
Esto
es improbable que suceda ahora por la vigilancia que existe y la sofisticación
de la tecnología, cualquier avión que entre el espacio aéreo de New York sería
interceptado por cualquier medio.
Hoy
en día las torres Petronas de Malasia son las torres gemelas más altas del
mundo.
Estas
torres cuentan con una altura de 452 metros.
Las
torres con 88 pisos de hormigón armado, acero y vidrio, se han convertido en el
símbolo de Kuala Lumpur y Malasia. Una maravilla diseñada por la firma
estadounidense Arq. Cesar Pelli y Asociados para Malasia.
PETRONAS
es la sigla para la Corporación Nacional de Petróleo de Malasia, incorporada el
17 de agosto del 1974. La corporación maneja todo el petróleo y sus derivados
en Malasia.
Un
avión de la línea aérea de Malasia que se dirigía a Vietnam, cambió su rumbo,
apuntando como para regresar a Malasia, su piloto o alguien en la cabina
desactivó los métodos usuales de rastreo.
Hay
teorías que se están presentando que el avión, secuestrado o dirigido por su
piloto estaba dirigiéndose hacia las torres gemelas Petronas.
Si
es así algo o alguien impidió que el acto de terrorismo se completara, y el
avión está pulverizado por un cohete en el fondo del mar.

latente.
Imágenes de un satélite comercial
obtenidas por CNN revelan que Irán está construyendo una réplica a gran escala
de un portaaviones estadounidense, con aviones falsos similares a los de
Estados Unidos incluidos, cerca de la ciudad portuaria de Bandar Abbas.
La maqueta parece imitar un
portaaviones de clase Nimitz (CVN 68), incluso tiene pintado un número

and Hillary Clinton’s lawyers have circled the wagons around documents, photos,
videos, and, most recently, newly discovered audio recordings—likened to the Nixon tapes—held at the William J. Clinton Presidential
Library. After the government watchdog group Judicial Watch sued to force the Clinton Library to
release the literally millions of files, the Library released a scant 5000
records, claiming that the FOIA requests don’t reflect the other documents
being held.
But
this is just the tip of the iceberg.
On
the other side of town, the documents held at the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies in Little Rock, documenting Bill Clinton’s
years as governor of Arkansas, make the security at the Clinton Library seem
mild. The files are held in a giant safe and require the personal signature of
Clinton crony Bruce Lindsey for even a peek—and Lindsey has released exactly
zero files.
And
there’s a lot to hide.
Let’s
start with the “suicides” of teenagers Don Henry and Kevin Ives by laying on
the railroad tracks. Clinton’s medical examiner conveniently ruled the deaths
suicide; but when the parents of the teens screamed bloody murder, the bodies
were exhumed showing that the medical examiner, Dr. Fahmy Malak, had lied.
Their bodies clearly showed signs of foul play, one teen having a knife wound,
the other with blunt force trauma to the head. It has been rumored for years
that the boys had witnessed a huge drug deal go down, part of Clinton’s
infamous cocaine empire based in Mena, Arkansas—and so had to disappear.
What
secrets do the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Butler Center for
Arkansas Studies hold? We will never know. Presidents and former Presidents in
this country, as we now know,are above the law. Unless the American people
demand otherwise.

OBAMACARE: THE MISTAKE AMERICA COULD NOT AFFORD
Journalistic icon Bob Woodward has been in hot water with the Obama
Administration and its more enthusiastic apologists for a while now. He’s
not going to get any more popular with that crowd after his appearance on “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, in which he related a conversation with a doctor he
described as a “very knowledgeable, very involved supporter of ObamaCare” who
nevertheless described it as similar to “a car stuck in first gear.”
When Woodward asked this
ObamaCare-supporting doctor when he thought second gear might kick in, the
response was, “Honestly, years!” because, to continue the clunker car analogy,
“the transmission is in the shop for repairs.”
This led to a remarkable burst of blubbering from one of our dwindling
supply of ObamaCare apologists, Juan Williams, who sobbed that nobody was trying
to count up enrollment numbers or calculate sustainability when Mitt Romney
rolled out his health
care plan in Massachusetts, and those mean old green-eyeshade-wearing
Republicans should just put their evil accounting witchery on hold and give
ObamaCare a few years to creak and shudder into second gear.
Which nicely illustrates
one of the core idiocies animating ObamaCare apologists: they’ve arrogantly
insisted on refusing to accept the very obvious point that Massachusetts is not
equivalent to the entire United States of America. A program that
more-or-less works in one state (and there have always been plenty of critics,
both locally and nationally, who think “less” is a better description of how
well RomneyCare works) can prove both Constitutionally offensive and
unsustainable on the national level. It’s such an obvious point that it
seems ludicrous to have to explain it to adult citizens of the United States,
over and over again. Mitt Romney tried to do so on the campaign trail,
but frankly he didn’t make the point nearly as well as he should have, and the
fact that he had to make it at all was a burden upon his campaign. Like
ObamaCare, Romney’s campaign ended up stuck in first gear, trying to explain a
high-information concept to low-information voters, while the Idiocracy ran
around telling people that Mitt Romney gave a steel worker’s wife cancer just
by looking at her.
Let us focus upon a very simple reason Romneycare could survive in
Massachusetts – until the incompetence of Barack Obama and his team turned
even that state
into an ObamaCare nightmare – while the Affordable Care Act doesn’t work across
the whole of the United States: money. ObamaCare is hideously expensive, and only
a portion of the cost is borne by the inflated insurance premiums so many of
its subjects are expected to pay. It’s the worst Cash for Clunkers scheme
Obama has come up with yet – it’s costing us billions to get the ACA clunker into second gear.
We can’t afford to spend more billions every year while bureaucrats
fiddle with the clutch and gear shift, especially since ObamaCare’s critics –
who have always understand the law far better than its supporters – think third gear will never kick
in.
“After four years of implementation, countless delays, a website
disaster, and constant litigation, the Affordable Care Act celebrates its
inauspicious birthday this week,” says the introduction to a new study from the American Action Forum. ”From a regulatory perspective, the law has imposed
more than $27.2 billion in total private sector costs, $8
billion in unfunded state burdens, and more than 159 million paperwork hours on
local governments and affected entities. What’s more troubling, the law has
generated just $2.6 billion in annualized benefits, compared to $6.8 billion in
annualized costs. In other words, the ACA has imposed 2.5 times more costs than
it has produced in benefits.”
159 million paperwork hours is more than double what the hideously
complicated, economy-retarding Dodd-Frank law dumped on Americans – enough of a
burden to keep eighty thousand people working 2,000 hours per year. Of
course, Big Government liberals believe private-sector time is without value –
you should be happy to spend
hours expressing your patriotism by wrestling with mandatory paperwork! – but
even government agencies, such as HHS and the Treasury, are paying for millions
of hours of paper-shuffling due to the Affordable Care Act. Or, more to
the point, they’re forcing you to
pay for it by funding these bloated agencies, but at least they acknowledge the
cost exists, unlike the private-sector compliance costs they try to obscure.
ObamaCare imposes costs far beyond paperwork compliance, of course.
All those mandates, plus dozens of hidden taxes, siphon more billions out
of the private economy. And all this for a law that has, thus far,
actually increased the
number of uninsured Americans! But even if the ACA survives and finally
climbs into “second gear” one of these years, the meager potential increase in
the insured population becomes utterly ridiculous when measured against the
exorbitant cost. Instead of wasting billions and wrecking the insurance
industry to give a handful of people access to lousy insurance policies with
huge out-of-pocket costs, we could have bought every uninsured person in
America circa 2008 a Cadillac health care plan for a fraction of the cost.
The scale of expense associated with ObamaCare is staggering, and it finances a
system the majority of Americans hate. When the apologists for this system
whine that we need to give it a decade or two before we pass final judgment,
they’re not just telling us to mute our criticism (as if they have any right to
make that demand!)
They’re commanding us to pour billions more dollars into a system that
has already wasted enormous sums, while failing to keep any of the promises it was
sold under.
ObamaCare is an expensive fraud. Why should we spend a few more
years watching the hucksters who sold us this lemon grind its gears, grinning
through a river of sweat as they promise it will take off like a rocket any day
now? Shall we discuss the agonizingopportunity
cost of time lost
while we struggle with this failed program, rather than implementing real
reforms that would benefit our health care system? And does anyone
remember the Clunker-Salesman-in-Chief warning us that it would take years of
time, and billions of dollars in expenses, before his scheme started firing on
all cylinders… or that it would take a hundred million hours a year in
paperwork to keep it running?

To echo Congressman Trey Gowdy, if the man occupying the Oval Office asserts the power to ignore or disregard certain laws, what is to stop him from violating any law he chooses to violate?
Last week, the House of Representatives passed Gowdy's ENFORCE the Law Act of 2014 (H.R. 4138), a simple measure that would require Barack Obama to actually obey and enforce the law... imagine that. Harry Reid and Barack Obama are trying to block it... and we're not going to let them get away with it.
It's time for patriotic Americans to literally rise up and send Barack Obama a clear message: You are not a KING. You are not our DICTATOR. You are not ABOVE THE LAW. And we refuse to allow you to make up the law as you go.

In short, the ENFORCE the Law Act would enable Members of Congress to sue the Executive Branch including Barack Obama in federal court when it disregards or flagrantly violates the U.S. Constitution.
As Gowdy put it: "This bill is necessary; it will give Congress the authority to defend this branch of government as the Framers and our fellow citizens would expect."
The Separation of Powers enumerated in the Constitution aren't difficult to understand. In fact, they are so easy to understand that we teach them to 10-year-olds in our nation's failing public schools.
But Mr. I-Am-A-Constitutional-Scholar Obama and his minions seem to have difficulty with the very same concept that is understood by grade school children.
After the House passed Gowdy's bill on a bipartisan vote, Barack Obama immediately issued a statement that said: "Congress may not assign such power to itself." It would appear that Mr. Obama isn't reading the same Constitution that our Founders signed and ratified.
And one of Mr. Obama's puppets in Congress, ultra-liberal Representative James P. McGovern, (D-MA), trumpeted Obama's dictatorial delusion when he said, "You guys just don't like the president. I get it. But get over it," just before declaring that Gowdy's bill is "unconstitutional."
Sorry Mr. McGovern, but the American people aren't just "going to get over it."
Gowdy asked: "If a president can change some laws, can he change all laws?"In light of the statements and actions coming from Mr. Obama and his allies in Congress, we must ask: If a president can declare entire sections of the Constitution unconstitutional, what is to stop him (or her) from effectively declaring that the entire Constitution is unconstitutional?
We can think of no better reason to explain exactly why we must rally behind Gowdy. His ENFORCE the Law Act is moving to the Senate and we need a flood of faxes and calls demanding that the Senate pass this law and send it to Barack Obama's desk immediately.
Obama Is Threatening A Veto, But We Say Bring It On.
Even Speaker of the House John Boehner knows the score when it comes to Obamas lawlessness. Boehner stated, "The fact that the president would threaten to veto a measure requiring him to uphold his Constitutional obligations underscores why this bill is needed, and why Senate Democrats should pass it immediately."
Oh yes, Barack Obama is threatening to veto this bill, but what should we expect from a man who brags that he will go around Congress if Congress does not do as HE wants? What should we expect from a man who has proudly and defiantly engaged in lawlessness at every turn?

Turley writes: "The United States is at a constitutional tipping point: The rise of an uber presidency unchecked by the other two branchesand "contempt for the separation of powers has accelerated at an 'alarming rate' under Obama."
Make no mistake, we want the Senate to bring the Enforce the Law Act of 2014 to Mr. Obama's desk and we're going to dare him to veto it.
We're going to dare him to explain to every man, woman and child in the United States exactly WHY he VETOED legislation that will help force him to faithfully execute the Constitution and laws of our nation.
We can take back this country. We can take back the debate, but to do so we must force those who we elect to high office to act with bold colors and not pale pastels.
As Gowdy said: "Maybe members of Congress would be respected more if we respected ourselves enough to require that when we pass something, it be treated as law."
We agree. We say that the time to push the envelope is now and we say that pushing that envelope starts with patriotic Americans overwhelming Members of the United States Senate with calls and faxes. Let them know that you are paying attention and let them know that you are serious.

Do you know where your medications come from? It might be from an international terrorist drug ring. A new study from the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism finds that terror group Hezbollah is “already involved in manufacturing and distributing counterfeit medications.” Institute director Boaz Ganor says that “Hezbollah is liable to use its production centers, international smuggling and distribution networks, and ties to international crime syndicates to insert deadly fake drugs into the pharmaceuticals market.”
There are a variety of ways terror groups get involved in the legal drug market. They may steal, repackage and sell licit drugs, either prescription or over-the-counter medications. Pharmaceutical workers may moonlight with terror groups, or work for them full time. Sometimes terrorists sell bogus or adulterated medications, and other times manufacture and market their own.
Hezbollah has been involved in the counterfeit drug market for several years. In 2006, Iran sent Hezbollah in Lebanon equipment to make Captagon, an amphetamine that was once used for treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactiity Disorder (ADHD). Captagon has been banned in most countries since 1986, but it still widely used — and abused — in the Middle East. Engaging in this type of illicit trade within the Islamic world creates religious-ethical issues for the terrorists, but Hezbollah obtained a special religious dispensation, provided the pills did not go to Shiite Muslim areas but only to Sunni-majority countries.
Participation in the drug trade reaches the highest levels of the terror group. Lebanese authorities intercepted two machines for Captagon manufacture being sent to Sheikh Hussein al-Musawi, a Hezbollah parliamentarian and chemist. In February 2013, Lebanon charged Abdullatif Fneish, brother of Hezbollah official and Minister of State for Administrative Affairs Mohammed Fneish, with importing counterfeit drugs. The Fniesh drug ring is alleged to have imported and warehoused over 100 types of medications, for distribution within Lebanon and abroad.
Hezbollah has a well-developed global drug distribution and money-laundering network, based on years of involvement in trading heroin and cocaine. Last April, the U.S. Treasury Department blacklisted two Lebanese financial houses for aiding Hezbollah in hiding profits from the drug trade. Kassem Rmeiti & Co. for Exchange laundered nearly $30 million in drug proceeds in the last five years. The Halawi Exchange Co. helped move $220 million worth of used cars from the United States to Benin as a front to hide drug money. Hezbollah is also active in the West African diamond trade, through which it makes drug profits virtually untraceable.
Hezbollah is active in the Western Hemisphere, working in concert with Mexican drug cartel Los Zetas to distribute drugs in Latin America. Presumably they could tap into cartel drug distribution networks that reach into the United States. It would not be the first time Hezbollah penetrated our borders. The organization ran a cigarette smuggling ring out of Charlotte, North Carolina, for several years that generated tens of millions of dollars. And loosely-regulated internet drug sales present opportunities for terrorists to ply the drug trade through seemingly respectable front groups. Given this emerging frontier in narco-terrorism the time may come when you may not know whether your pharmacist is actually a terrorist.

Presumably they could tap into cartel drug distribution networks that reach into the United States. It would not be the first time Hezbollah penetrated our borders. The organization ran a cigarette smuggling ring out of Charlotte, North Carolina, for several years that generated tens of millions of dollars. And loosely-regulated internet drug sales present opportunities for terrorists to ply the drug trade through seemingly respectable front groups. Given this emerging frontier in narco-terrorism the time may come when you may not know whether your pharmacist is actually a terrorist.
