Hace unos cuantos días libramos una convocatoria para viajar a
Washington el Día de Memorial Day, 26 de Mayo para protestar frente a la Casa
Blanca y El Congreso por la cantidad de
errores y horrores que está cometiendo el gobierno[?] De obama y la
complacencia o complicidad del Congreso, tanto de demócratas como los
republicanos, que dicho sea de paso han resultado la misma “plasta” ya que se han aliado con él y con todas las
perrerías y lo mal hecho. Pero debido a la imposibilidad material de unos o de
compromisos laborales de otros y por qué no decirlo de un poco de desinterés
participar en esa protesta es mayoritario pues se ha decidido suspender esa protesta
y no hacer nada ya que no existe la cantidad de personas que desean hacerlo. José
Martí decía que ver como un crimen se comete impunemente y nadie protesta, se
opone y lo combate, es complicidad. Yo entiendo que muchos tienen compromisos
de trabajo o familia que no lo pueden hacer. Creemos que es algo que daria resultado pero tenían que participar una
cantidad de personas que moviera a la prensa a seguir el proceso y que de
cierta forma haría sentir a los políticos que el pueblo no esta satisfecho con
su trabajo. Pero los que han confirmado su participación no llegan a un número
que sea suficiente para expresar fuerza. Es una pena porque al paso que vamos
nos estamos convirtiendo en una Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, Bolivia, El
Salvador, Honduras, Perú, Ecuador. Si esos lugares llegaron a ser países
decentes y en estos momentos son cuevas de ladrones y dictadores. Ya nosotros
estamos montados en esa misma pendiente y viajamos a muchísima velocidad hacia la
basura y la destrucción de la Nacion que fue la más poderosa del mundo. En mi
pueblo decían que si quieres comer pescado tienes que mojarte el… “C” Si no
haces nada eso es lo que tendrás.

4 Ways Conservatives Can
Win, According to Ted Cruz. Kelsey Harris.
Can conservatives win the battle of ideas and transform America?
According to Ted Cruz, the outspoken Texas senator who won with support of the
Tea Party in 2012, it’s possible. At a breakfast hosted by Politico’s chief
White House correspondent Mike Allen last week, Cruz laid out four ways he
thinks conservatives can win.
1. Continue to fight
against Obamacare.
“The reason the Obamacare issue
has such potency is because it’s real. Millions of people are hurt by this, and
there is not a trip that I take back to Texas where I don’t run into at least
one person, if not several, who say, ‘I lost my health insurance.’”
“…Harry Reid and the Democratic
leadership is grossly negligent for not stepping up and fixing the misery that
they’re inflicting.”
2. Stop pushing for
immigration while Harry Reid controls the Senate.
“If the House went down the road of passing a
massive amnesty program, that could screw up the election. I think the odds of
Harry Reid remaining the majority leader would jump tenfold, which is why Harry
Reid and the White House are begging Republicans please go into the briar
patch. … I’m hopeful we won’t see such self-destructive behavior from the
House.”
3. Fight for
principle, and take risks. FIGHTING FOR PRINCIPLE MATTERS. AND IT”S THE PATH TO
VICTORY.
“There are a number of folks in Washington who think the way you win
elections is you put your head down, you don’t rock the boat, you don’t take
risk. … I think that is empirically false.”
“That pre-condition of the
American people getting mobilized, getting engaged, and holding Washington
accountable, that’s the only way to turn the country around.”
“Washington insiders have a terrible record at picking winners and
losers.”

La
política exterior de Obama con respecto a Rusia, diseñada por la entonces
secretaria de Estado Hillary Clinton, se basa en la idea de Rusia como socio

una estrategia virtual, una política de rendición. Y le están dando por
atrás.
No puede
haber ninguna duda de que el Presidente ruso Vladimir Putin, que es un
hombre educado en la KGB soviética, ve a Barack Obama como una figura de gran
debilidad. Con un vacío de liderazgo en el escenario mundial, Moscú ha
controlado su manera Siria, apuntalando el brutal régimen de Bashar al-Assad.
El Kremlin
ha atraído también con éxito los Estados Unidos a entablar negociaciones
inútiles directas con Teherán sobre su programa nuclear. Esta compra a los
mulás valioso tiempo para avanzar en sus ambiciones nucleares mientras se
aumentaba su capacidad de misiles de largo alcance.
Y ahora el
Sr. Putin está reuniendo sus fuerzas en la frontera con Ucrania, amenazando al
nuevo gobierno en Kiev, convencido de que el mundo libre es demasiado débil
para interponerse en su camino. Miles de sus soldados ya están en el suelo
dentro de Crimea, un ejército de ocupación de facto, ocultado bajo el disfraz
de "Autodefensas".
En muchos
aspectos es un momento definitorio para el mundo libre en el siglo XXI y el
liderazgo estadounidense en particular. Hay quienes dicen que esto no es lucha

sus "vecinos en el extranjero," para intervenir con el pretexto de
proteger a los rusos étnicos. Los Estados bálticos, con sus grandes minorías de

Chamberlain.
No es
momento para una respuesta de carneros de la casa blanca. La superpotencia

Congress’ Real Problem:
They’re Letting Regulators Become Legislators. Rich

Washington D.C. won’t have John Dingell to push around much longer.
The venerable Democrat, who’s been in the House of Representatives since
1955, is preparing to retire and hand his family’s seat (his father held it
before him, having been elected in 1932) to his wife. But he’s not doing her any favors.
In recent years the problem isn’t that lawmakers have left the House.
It’s that they’ve stopped being lawmakers. Nobody has kept Dingell – and
his 434 elected colleagues — from legislating. The fact that they don’t
legislate is a self-inflicted wound. Congress has willinglygiven up much of its lawmaking
authority.
“In terms of actual policy, most of the action is located in
administrative agencies and departments, not in the Congress and the President
as is commonly thought. Unelected bureaucrats—not elected representatives—are
running the show,” scholar Joe Postell notes.
Consider several of the items Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus
listed in a recent column headlined, “Losing the art of legislating as John Dingell retires”:

Education Reform: Lawmakers allow the Obama Administration to offer waivers to replace the Congressionally-passed No Child Left Behind with
Common Core.
·
Health Care: Lawmakers enacted Obamacare, but the bill was more
aspiration than law. Much of the actual policy is being crafted by the Department of Health and Human Services. For his part, President
Obama has felt free to issue waivers at will.
·
Telecommunications: The FCC is aggressively trying to expand its domain.
It recently floated a plan to put observers in newsrooms, even those of newspapers
and Web sites (which the agency doesn’t even regulate).
To work, it requires lawmakers who are jealous of their power to make
law. If many long-serving Representatives are getting bored, maybe it’s because
they stopped being lawmakers years ago.
Obama’s Latest Underreported Fiasco Invites More Lambs
to the Slaughter
Obama’s using "fast track"
authority to change free trade, a win for multinational corporations but a loss
for small business.
Though it didn’t generate much news, I want to discuss
an important summit meeting that was held in Toluca, Mexico a few weeks ago.
The meeting – to figure out how to replace the North
American Free Trade Agreement, aka NAFTA – included the Prime Minister of
Canada, Stephen Harper; the President of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto; and our
own Barack Obama.
You see, while NAFTA is credited with producing over
$1 trillion in trade each year, it counts trade that would’ve likely taken
place anyway. And now that NAFTA is 20 years old, it’s easy to see that it was
a job killer. In fact, NAFTA was a stepping stone on the path that sent record
numbers of American jobs abroad.
So NAFTA is currently slated to be replaced by a
secretive, 12-nation Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). This partnership would
continue to integrate the United States’ economy with our two closes neighbors,
in addition to a group of Asian nations. And the global elites are intent on
pushing this agreement through.
That’s because multinational corporations love
predictability, and they love to create barriers to entry for smaller
competitors – which is exactly what these so-called free-trade agreements do.
In reality, they’re more about “managed trade” than free trade. We haven’t
really had free trade in decades.
The United
States of North America?
It’s frightening enough that free-trade agreements are
barely understood by America’s ill-informed citizens. But what’s even scarier –
and lesser known – is that these international bodies pushing for trade
agreements and multinational governance are unelected!
Let me remind you that the European Union (EU) started
as a free-trade zone. Today, it has taken almost complete control of European
politics.
After trade, the EU began a regulation regime; and now
Brussels controls everything from immigration policy to banking. Little is left
to the parliaments of the EU member states. Sovereignty has been completely
relinquished in the name of integration.
This is exactly how the global elite would have North
America operate in 25 years.
And why not? The governing elite do well under these
regimes. But their citizens? Less so. Just ask the people of Greece how the
common market is working out for them.
Meanwhile, in America, Obama is using a tool known as
“fast track” authority to push radical changes. With fast track authority,
Barack Obama’s team can negotiate any trade agreement in total secrecy. The
coverage blackout only ends once the agreement is signed. And Congress can’t
make any amendments to these deals… they simply get to vote yes or no.
Not surprisingly, these trade agreements often pass
without Congress ever understanding what’s inside the deal. The Republicans,
for their part, usually don’t want to look under the wrapper when “free trade”
is stamped on top. But if they paid attention, they’d see that Obama and his
team have totally abused this fast track procedure to pass a coveted agenda
under the cloak of trade agreements.
Ultimately, the losers are usually small- and
medium-sized businesses, whose smaller firms have trouble with compliance and
increased regulations. A host of foreign firms end up Balkanizing their
business in the name of “completion.”
Of course, I’m all for competition… but completion
never comes in the form of an agreement governed by the World Trade
Organization. Just look at China. It has firms invading America, yet the
Chinese use all sorts of countermeasures to block our access to their markets.
Finally, as Obama’s team continues pushing the deal
known at PTT, we’ll do our best to look under the hood for you in the weeks
ahead. I predict that Obama’s definition of free trade is vastly different than
the dictionary definition. Let’s hope Congress notices.

AMENPER: La
Imperfección Humana y El Quijote
Creo que Miguel de Cervantes se debe haber sentido cerca de la muerte en
la batalla de Lepanto donde perdió su brazo y sostuvo otras graves heridas. Esta cercanía al fin de la vida, hace más sensible la humanidad de la
persona, y cuando escribió su obra El Quijote, quiso escribir algo más que una
obra literaria, quiso dejar un legado social a su pueblo, enseñándole sus
defectos.
Quizás su error fue escribir usando la sátira. La sátira es el mejor estilo para enseñar los defectos, el más lubricado
para penetrar en la mente diluyendo la crítica con el humor, pero esto también
hay veces que produce un estado de confusión en personas que consideran las
situaciones presentadas como satírica como apropiadas.
Por esto el Quijotismo prevalece en nuestras culturas. La obra de Cervantes se venera pero su enseñanza no se aplica a nuestra manera de ser. Aunque los más quijotescos somos los cubanos y los argentinos, el
quijotismo prevalece entre las personas de origen latino, incluyendo los
italianos y toda Latinoamérica.
Tanto Bolívar como Martí fueron grandes hombres, pero fueron eso,
hombres, con sus virtudes y defectos. Pero tratar de mencionar un defecto personal o político en un momento de
su vida de Martí o Bolívar es una ofensa al patriota cuya memoria se ha
mitificado al punto de endiosamiento. Dios hay sólo uno, y es el único que no
tiene defectos. Tomar las palabras de Martí, sin distinción, como salmos
divinos los cuales son infalibles, es puro quijotismo. Y esto es lo que seguimos viendo en nuestra historia con nuestras
figuras políticas, por eso Fidel Castro pudo establecer su dictadura
totalitaria. En nuestro idioma español usamos
el pronombre de la segunda persona como usted y en el lenguaje coloquial tu o vos, depende del entorno regional,
aunque muchas veces abusamos de la licencia coloquial pero siempre mantenemos
el quijotismo para las personas que mitificamos. Si tuviéramos como en inglés
un pronombre de la segunda persona como “thou” que tiene implicaciones
sagradas, estoy seguro que usaríamos ese pronombre para nuestros próceres y
para figuras políticas mitificadas como Fidel Castro.
Hay Cubanos que apoyan la gestión presidencial de Obama, cuando son más
visibles es en los programas de micrófono abierto, tratando de defender lo
indefensible, curiosamente si se extiende la discusión podemos ver que son las
mismas personas que también simpatizan con el régimen de Cuba. Pero una de las cosas que repiten todos es que a Obama hay que
respetarlo porque es el presidente.
Este quijotismo que a un dignatario o gobernante no se puede criticar
porque es una falta de respeto es algo endémico del latino a pesar de la
enseñanza mal aprovechada de Cervantes.
En los Estados Unidos vemos como los comerciantes usan caricaturas de Washington
y Lincoln para anunciar sus especiales en las fechas de su nacimiento. Si un comerciante se le hubiera ocurrido hacer lo mismo en Cuba con
caricaturas de Martí o Maceo, lo hubieran condenado a pena perpetua o ejecución
sumaria.
El carácter pragmático del Sajón es algo que tenemos que imitar y
admirar en la arena política, aunque mantengamos mejor nuestro calor latino en
lo familiar. Tomar lo mejor de los dos mundos, re-leer El Quijote y
aprender el legado que nos dejó Cervantes. Hay un escritor cubano que he admirado mucho, Luis Aguilar León, creo
que él escribió ese artículo “El Profeta” que puede ver en el enlace que incluyo
Hay quien dice que no es de Lundy, pero el estilo y el mensaje
crítico-satírico de nuestro carácter es el mismo de sus otros escritos.
Ahora que vamos a unas elecciones parciales en noviembre, cuando vayamos
a depositar el voto, si el candidato no era el que apoyamos en las primarias,
hay que usar el pragmatismo sajón y no el quijotismo latino. No hay hombre perfecto, y hay que escoger el menos imperfecto.

Former Alaska governor
and vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin closed out CPAC 2014 with her
typical blend of enthusiasm and goofy humor, getting big laughs by riffing on
Senator Ted Cruz’ famous reading of “Green Eggs and Ham” during his filibuster.
Palin rewrote Dr. Seuss a bit to deliver her version:
I
do not like this, Uncle Sam
I
do not like this health care scam
I
do not like these dirty crooks
Or
how they lie and cook the books.
I
do not like when Congress steals
I
do not like their crony deals
I
do not like this spyin’, man
I
do not like “oh yes we can.”
I
do not like your spending spree
We’re
smart, we know there’s nothing free
I
do not like reporters’ smug replies
When
I complain about their lies
I
do not like this kind of hope
And
we won’t take it – nope, nope, nope!
Her little riff on Dr.
Seuss actually serves as a decent map to the entire speech, because it touches
on most of the points Palin came to make. She had a lot more to say about
cronyism, cooked books, and health care scams. And she had quite a bit of
fun with President Obama’s slogans, which are cruel jokes at the expense of the
American public in retrospect. Reflecting on the mantra of “hope and
change” early on, Palin mused: “They said you were the change they were waiting
for. It turns out you had the
change they were waiting for… the fives, the tens, the twenties…”
She made a cutting point
about the difference between Obama’s campaign rhetoric of boundless promise,
and the bitter reality of micro-regulation, arbitrary power, and a stagnant
economy by wondering when “yes we can” became “no, you can’t.” She had
fun wondering if Obama would try backing Vladimir Putin away from Ukraine by
threatening to get flexible on him. Taking stock of the Obama era’s
collapsing workforce, she remarked, “Fewer people work today than when that
peanut farmer was president.” And she slyly reminded the audience that
certain people did see all of these disasters coming, way back in 2008.
But aside from mockery,
Palin didn’t waste much time trying to talk to the Obama Administration,
because as she happily reminded the audience, “The age of Obama is almost over…
the end of an error.” It’s time to look ahead, and 2014 is looking good,
because “there aren’t enough Low Information Voters in the country to save the
other side this time.”
She had some tough
criticism for wimpy Republican establishment types. ”You know that 2010
election victory that swept you into power?” she asked the GOP leadership.
”You didn’t build that. The Tea Party did!”
Palin spoke of a “great
awakening,” saluting people like Senator Ted Cruz for doing their part to keep
America from hitting the snooze bar. She was greatly displeased with how
the Establishment failed to back Cruz up during Shutdown Theater. ”Our
army balked… we hoped they were just reloading, but they retreated.”
A large portion of her
speech was dedicated to rallying and inspiring conservative women. (Male
audience members were invited to play a racing game on their smart phones while
she had a few words with the ladies.) She dismissed the Left’s “War on
Women” strategy by taunting, “Hey, Democrats, it’s your leaders who are
demeaning to women.”
“Liberals seem to think
the women of America are cheap dates,” Palin observed, telling women that to
allow themselves to be used as political pawns was “not liberation, but
subjugation – and this sisterhood fights back against that!”
She suggested that
conservative women take their fighting spirit to the front lines of political
battle – which is not just cheerleading, but a sound media strategy, given that
angry liberals have a tendency to make repellent fools of themselves by
savaging conservative women like Sarah Palin. ”We’re the heirs of
Thatcher, Stanton, and Anthony,” she proudly declared. ”So stop
apologizing, and start evangelizing… If the boys aren’t up to the
challenge, conservative women are happy to lead the charge.”
And when it comes to
fighting for women’s rights, Palin is ready to play a card no one in the modern Democrat
Party can answer: “We’re the party with the plank that protects even our
littlest sisters in the womb.”
Palin seems to have
moved away from electoral politics herself, although she’s still a potent force
when it comes to rallying support for other candidates (and she did get a “Run,
Sarah, Run!” moment from the CPAC audience.) She remains a happy war
goddess for conservatives and Tea Party activists, in part because they will
never forget what liberals did to her, beginning within hours of John McCain
announcing her as his running mate. It’s fitting to have her wrap up
another CPAC on the verge of a big Republican election, with terrified
Democrats literally fleeing at
the thought of making a campaign appearance with Barack Obama, shivering in
terror at the notion of being tied to his appalling health care plan.
The end of an error,
indeed. Obama is the past; he’s utterly obsolete even with three years to
go in office. The future seems like the sort of place where a mama
grizzly might feel at home.

Francia, de un aumento del 20% en cuentas morosas,
amenazadas con el corte de luz
o gas o ambos.
Solo suma unos 600.000 hogares, comparado con los 500.000
hogares ya cortados
el anyo pasado.
La Fundación Hermano Pierre,
grupo caricativo religioso, pide ayuda.
La CGT (Confederación General
del Trabajadores) grupo sindical socialista, tambien
denuncia la situación!
