Dow Jones, Food Stamps Hit Record Highs

Barack Obama is a big government guy re-elected largely on a class warfare platform. But he is presiding over an economy with more divergence between the haves and have-nots.
One of the starkest indicators of that reality came recently in the form of two record highs: the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the reported food stamp participation. Above is the DJIA ticker, which went above 14,000. And now, food stamp participation, via Zerohedge:

The USDA recently released the food stamp numbers for December 2012, and they show an increase from 46,609,072 to 47,791,996. That’s nearly 20% of the potentially eligible U.S. population, up from nearly 14% when President Obama took office. The recent upward trend began before the president took office, starting approximately in April 2007.
If there is a must-read on the subject of why there is such a divergence between food stamps and the stock market, look no further than the recent Forbes article “The Comical, Central Planning Fantasy.” It has hypotheticals of how people would trade on a desert island and the United States being used as a guinea pig for world bankers. CBS Asks: Where are the Benghazi survivors? Kyle Becker

Sharryl Atkinson of CBS noted the six month passing of the September 11th, 2012 terrorist attack on a Benghazi mission that left four dead, including American Ambassador Christopher Stevens.

While so many in the mainstream media seem all-too-eager to brush past this unsightly entry in the president’s legacy, Atkinson has been persistent directing the right questions at the administration. Recently, the CBS reporter asked, “where are the Benghazi survivors?”
According to the administration, the Benghazi survivors were not free to granted interviews during an FBI investigation into what happened. Initially, the FBI submitted reports to Congress of survivor accounts that were so heavily redacted that an unnamed source called the unreleased documents “useless.”
Less redacted reports show that the Obama administration circulated talking points to mitigate the fallout from the terrorist attack, such as by calling “attacks” the less provocative “demonstrations.” Of course, the administration later had to concede that there weren’t even any demonstrations in Benghazi the night of 9/11/12.
Although GOP politicians like senators McCain and Graham demanded more answers on what happened at Benghazi prior to approving all of the president’s Cabinet nominees, it appears that there are still many unknowns. Such as: how it was that four Americans at a diplomatic installation in the middle of a recent warzone were left to die during a more-than-eight-hour siege?
As the Chief of Staff Martin Dempsey conceded, along with then-CIA Director Leon Panetta, no military aid was even sent to Benghazi during that time frame. This seems like an astonishing admission, but the mainstream media have mostly yawned.

Como se Fabrica Un Dictador

Se pudiera escribir un manual sobre el proceso de la fabricación de un Dictador

Es algo que se puede pronosticar y prevenir.

Sin embargo a los pueblos se les hace difícil identificar a un Dictador.

En el diccionario define a un Dictador como un Gobernante que asume todos los poderes del Estado y que no se somete a control constitucional ni legislativo alguno.

Pero en la palabra “alguno” es donde está el detalle. 

Durante proceso de fabricación, los dictadores aceptan ciertas instituciones independientes, para después hacerlas desaparecer o convirtiéndolas en simples instituciones títeres del Dictador.

Antes que nada lo que hace un Dictador es negar enfáticamente que pudiera o quisiera ser un Dictador.

No importa los medios para mantenerse en el poder, ni el tiempo que lleve en el poder, el Dictador seguirá diciendo que es simplemente un sacrificado servidor del pueblo.

Para fabricar un Dictador se toma un individuo carismático, y articulado, que promete cumplir todos los sueños de todas las clases sociales.

Después se reúnen las condiciones para que tome el poder, se rodea de una camarilla que lo aísla, lo ensalza y le hace creer que es un ser superior y que está destinado a grandes cosas por la patria..

Una vez que el encantamiento inicial se va disipando, en la medida en que la necesidad -o la excusa- de afirmar un poder todavía precario crean situaciones de emergencia, crisis seguida de crisis para mantener el encanto del sector de la población que consideren necesario para mantener la autoridad.

Este sector puede variar, no importa la filosofía, puede usar a ricos y pobres por igual. Aunque siempre usando en su discurso la lucha entre las diferentes clases sociales.

Concentra la autoridad en un pequeño grupo o en torno a su persona que secunda y repite sus medidas y consignas.

El dictador siempre dice que las medidas son debidas a las situaciones creadas por sus antecesores, ya sea el sistema económico o el gobernante anterior, nunca es su falta.

Pero que la situación de la crisis es provisional y se logrará la estabilidad en un corto tiempo, que puede ser de cuatro, ocho, o cincuenta años.

El Dictador se nutre del caos y la confusión, si no existe, tiene que crearlo, porque es el caldo de cultivo que permite la perpetuidad de la “provisionalidad”.

El dictador nunca escapa al esquema del recurso de la demagogia combinada con la lucha de clases, para dividir y eternizarse en el poder.

El mejor síntoma para detectar una dictadura incipiente es la lucha por mantenerse en el poder cada día con más poder centralizado en el poder ejecutivo, en el Dictador.

Por eso lo más importante en una democracia es mantener un sistema que representen las aspiraciones colectivas y limiten las ambiciones personales de poder.

La división de poderes a través de las instituciones legislativas y judiciales independientes del poder ejecutivo consolidan la democracia y previene la Dictadura.

Es el deber del ciudadano el educarse sobre la importancia de elegir a los funcionarios legislativos y judiciales, el énfasis en el ejecutivo que hacen algunos pueblos, olvidándose de los otros poderes, es una fórmula que los puede llevar a la formación de un Dictador.

Obama Stockpiled $463M in Smallpox Drug in Case of Bio-terror

Depending on which expert you talk to, the U.S. either got a bargain when it snapped up 2 million doses of a smallpox medicine for use in a possible bio-attack or it got fleeced to the tune of $463 million.

That amounts to some $200 each to treat up to 2 million Americans in the event of a large-scale attack on U.S. soil, The New York Times reports. But smallpox has been eradicated since 1980 with the last of the virus samples believed to be in goverment hands in the U.S. and Russia.

Approved only by the Food and Drug Administration for use in emergencies, the drug called Arestvyr prevents the spread of smallpox by containing the initial infected cells. Arestvyr can be taken over the course of two weeks along with a smallpox vaccine, according to the publication.

But some experts disagree whether the purchase of the drug was needed at all.

It was developed by Siga Technologies, which is controlled by billionaire Ronald O. Perelman.

Bioweapons expert Dr. Richard H. Ebright of Rutgers University told the Times that the country has increased its stockpile of smallpox vaccine from 15 million to 300 million doses over the past decade.

“Is it appropriate to stockpile it? Absolutely,” Ebright explained. “Is it appropriate to stockpile two million doses? Absolutely not. Twenty thousand seems like the right number.”

Xavier Suarez pide al MDX que retrase el aumento de los peajes • Lo califica de castigo cruel a quienes tienen que viajar por las autopistas

MIAMI, 13 DE MARZO DE 2013, NHR.com–El comisionado del Condado Miami-Dade, Xavier Suárez,  le envió una carta a la Junta del MDX (Miami-Dade Expressway Authority), expresando su preocupación sobre el aumento de peajes a los conductores que utilizan las principales arterias urbanas. “Como regla general, no debería cobrársele a los choferes por usar carreteras existentes cuyos costos de mantenimiento son bajos”, alega el comisionado. “Hace unos dieciséis años, se aprobaron cinco expressways en nuestro condado; no muy utilizados entonces  y no muy congestionados actualmente. A cambio, la agencia asumió la deuda de $60 millones, debida previamente por el estado. Desde entonces, esta deuda ha sido incrementada a más de $1.2 billones, o sea un 2.000 %”.
Suárez señala que tal parece que la agencia del MDX desea imponer un impuesto con un cargo de $8.00 diarios afectando a quienes viajen desde el extremo sur al norte y vice versa. “De todas las ciudades donde he residido, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Boston y Miami, esta es la única donde ha sido necesario cobrarles a los usuarios por el uso de vías regulares en el área metropolitana. La propuesta de nuevos peajes en el SR 836, junto al incremento del costo de la vida, es un castigo cruel e inusual a los ciudadanos que no les queda más remedio que utilizar el ya deficiente transporte público”, dice Xavier Suárez en su carta al MDX,
El comisionado Suarez también ha mostrado preocupación por el incremento de $19 millones a $38 millones del gasto de interés desde el año fiscal 2010 al 2012. Al respecto, ha dicho que “el mantenimiento anual de estas autopistas es más costoso que la deuda completa asumida hace 16 años”.
“Debe tomarse en cuenta cómo afecta el turismo  la confusión creada por señales de “no cash allowed” (no se permite pago en efectivo) o “all cash vehicles must leave the expressway” (todos los vehículos pagando en efectivo deben abandonar la autopista). Los trece millones que nos visitan anualmente se quedan perplejos ante semejantes letreros, cuya confusión no hace otra cosa que discentivar aquellos que nutren nuestra industria principal”, termina diciendo el comisionado Xavier Suárez.

As a native Iowan and excellent customer of the Internal Revenue Service, I am writing to ask for your assistance. I have contacted the Department of Homeland Security in an effort to determine the process for becoming an illegal alien and they referred me to you.

My primary reason for wishing to change my status from U.S. Citizen to illegal alien stems from the bill which was recently passed by the Senate and for which you voted. If my understanding of this bill is accurate, as an illegal alien who has been in the United States for five years, all I need to do to become a citizen is to pay a $2,000 fine and income taxes for only three of the last five years. I know a good deal when I see one and I am anxious to get the process started before everyone figures it out.

Simply put, those of us who have been here legally have had to pay taxes every year so I'm excited about the prospect of avoiding two years of taxes in return for paying a $2,000 fine. Is there any way that I can apply to be illegal retroactively? This would yield an excellent result for me and my family because we paid heavy taxes in 2008 and 2009.

Additionally, as an illegal alien I could begin using the local emergency room as my primary health care provider. Once I have stopped paying premiums for medical insurance, my accountant figures I could save almost $10,000 a year.

Another benefit in gaining illegal status would be that my daughter would receive preferential treatment relative to her law school applications, as well as 'in-state' tuition rates for many colleges throughout the United States for my son.

Lastly, I understand that illegal status would relieve me of the burden of renewing my driver's license and making those burdensome car insurance premiums. This is very important to me, given that I still have college age children driving my car.

If you would provide me with an outline of the process to become illegal (retroactively if possible) and copies of the necessary forms, I would be most appreciative. Thank you for your assistance
