Editor's note:The following open letter was first submitted to the Miami
Herald, but the paper opted not to publish it.
Miami is my hometown. When I was born at Hialeah Hospital in 1959, you were
2 years old and moving here from Cuba , to escape Communism.
America and its freedom, free enterprise and capitalism gave you the
opportunity to become a superstar, to be financially and vocationally
successful.
America is now under siege by a Marxist, progressive, leftist, radical,
socialist, communist dictator drunk with power. His name is Obama.
You invited him to your home on April 15, 2010, for a Democratic
fundraiser.
1. His parents were communists. His grandparents were communists. His
childhood mentor Frank Davis was a communist.
2. He had "Marxist professors." He taught a class on Saul Alinsky
whose book "Rules for Radicals" is dedicated to Lucifer.
3. His college records are sealed.
4. He claims to be a Christian yet ridicules scripture, denies Jesus is the
only way to salvation, supports partial-birth abortion and attended a church
for 20 years pastored by Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who did not teach Christianity
but "Black Liberation Theology," which is Marxism disguised as
religion.
5. He is friends with radicals and communists like William Ayers and has
appointed many of them to positions of power – Sunstein, Jarrett, Van Jones,
etc.
6. He told Joe the Plumber on the campaign trail that his philosophy was to
"spread the wealth." This is a direct quote from "The Communist
Manifesto" written by Karl Marx and Fredrich Engels.
7. When he entered office he immediately took over the banks, the auto
industry, health care (by bribery) and is intent on ending freedom of speech on
the Internet, radio and TV by fees and fines. He is intent on using the myth of
human-caused global warming to usurp control over our energy by Cap 'n Tax,
which would limit the number of minutes we take a shower and the kind of light
bulbs we use.
8. His arrogant, excessive spending, with his stimulus laws and
over-taxation, is destroying our economy, the middle class and our children's
future quality of life.
You had the audacity to invite this communist over to your home to raise
money for the Democratic Party, which is controlling Congress and giving him
unlimited power to achieve his goal of making our once-free country a welfare
state, just like the Cuba you left.
You are either uninformed, ignorant or crazy...
I ask my Cuban friends and neighbors what happened to you. Don't you
remember where you came from? Your father in a Cuban communist jail? They shake
their heads sadly.
You spit on the free country that gave you the American Dream.
I urge you to educate yourself on what is happening in America today.
Nov. 2 is the most serious vote of our nation's history. We will vote in
either liberty or tyranny.
How can you vote in tyranny when your family and friends risked their lives
on rafts to escape it?

balancear el presupuesto de EEUU, se quiere obligar a los más ricos a pagar más
impuestos. ¿Es esto justo, o es una estrategia política de campaña?
Los
políticos no saben crear riquezas y tienen que quitárselas a los que la
obtuvieron con su esfuerzo. ¿Estaremos haciendo justicia exigiéndoles más a
quienes han triunfado en sus vidas y obtenido riquezas con honradez, esfuerzo y
sacrificio, o lo estamos considerando un pecado?
Ser
rico es sinónimo de éxito en la vida, siempre que esas riquezas sean fruto del
trabajo honrado y la capacidad de los hombres de crear, producir y multiplicar
las riquezas en beneficio propio, de la familia y de la comunidad. EEUU, el
país donde más se ha admirado a los hombres que han alcanzado el éxito por
haber reunido riquezas, ha emprendido una cruzada contra ellos. Si queremos
resolver el déficit presupuestario de la nación a través de los impuestos y ser
justos, entonces es necesario crear un nuevo sistema tributario, que no esté
plagado de injusticias y concesiones que favorecen a individuos, instituciones
y empresas que no lo merecen. Exigir mayor contribución a los que más tienen es
un acto de populismo, donde se practica la división de clases entre ricos y
pobres, con una fuerte dosis de demagogia política.
Con
esta campaña se trata de evadir, además, la necesidad de acometer la
instauración de un nuevo sistema tributario más justo, sin excepciones que
favorezcan intereses ajenos a los intereses de la nación, donde todos
contribuyan en igualdad, sin castigar a unos por ser ricos y prósperos o
sobrecargar a otros por ser pobres y necesitados. Un nuevo sistema tributario
que excluya de sus normas la politiquería y la demagogia, para que en un futuro
ser rico por los resultados del trabajo honrado no sea un pecado.

I guess we’re all supposed to be talking about how to build the middle
class these days and look askance at the top 1 percent. But would you mind if I
interrupted this cultural moment to point out that capitalism is an inherently
elitist enterprise?
Prosperity is often driven by small enclaves of extraordinary individuals
that build new industries and amass large fortunes. These driven, manic
individuals are frequently unpleasant to be around. But, if your country is not
attracting and nurturing them, you’re cooked.
Let’s take a contemporary example, Elon Musk, who was just beautifully
profiled by Ashlee Vance in Bloomberg Businessweek.
For those who don’t read the financial press or the gossip blogs, Musk is a
41-year-old entrepreneur who grew up in South Africa. At 15, he migrated to
Canada, worked on farms and at a lumber mill and then got into Queen’s
University in Ontario.
After two years, he transferred to Penn, earning degrees in economics and
physics. While there, as he recently told Jon Stewart, he concluded that the
three areas that would most transform humanity were the Internet, sustainable
energy and space exploration.
He dropped out of a graduate physics program at Stanford to help start an
Internet map and directory company called Zip2, which was sold to Compaq for
more than $300 million.
He took his share of that money and helped create Pay-Pal, serving for a
time as its chief executive. When that was sold, he poured his share of his
money into SpaceX, a space exploration company; Tesla, an electric car company;
SolarCity, a solar power company; and Everdream, a data-center software firm.
SpaceX is the first private company to send a rocket into space. Already
profitable, it has a long line of orders to take things into space. Tesla is
selling its second model for about $55,000 each. Musk decided to revolutionize
three industries all at once and is sort of doing it. His net worth is
estimated to be about $2 billion.
Musk also told Businessweek about two other project designs he is working
on. The first is something called the Hyperloop, a tube capable of taking
people from downtown Los Angeles to downtown San Francisco in 30 minutes. The
second is a vertical lift-off supersonic passenger jet that would surpass
Boeing. He also hopes to open up a space colony on Mars within 10 or 15 years.
“Boldness of enterprise is the foremost cause of (America’s) rapid
progress, its strength and its greatness,” Alexis de Tocqueville wrote nearly a
couple of centuries ago. Musk is a fountain of bold enterprises, though, of course,
he also has the vices of his virtues.
Many employees love him, but there has been at least one blog set up to
catalog his mistreatment of those he deems mediocre. He’s run through two
marriages already, and his first ex-wife wrote a brutal but not necessarily
persuasive takedown of him in Marie Claire. He’s taken a grand total of one
vacation in four years, and his romantic life has faltered. As he told Vance,
“I would like to allocate more time to dating, though. I need a girlfriend. How
much time does a woman want a week? Maybe 10 hours?”
Musk is grandiose: a grand lifestyle, grand riches, grand vision and grand
verbiage. Playing a computer game with a writer from ForbesLife, he let loose a
characteristic burst of vast if vaporous ideas: “You can look at modern history
where it’s not so much genetics going into battle as a battle of meme
structures.”
Today, grandiosity is out of style. We’ve just been through a financial
crisis fueled by people who got too big for their britches. We’ve got an online
and media culture that specializes in ridiculing grand people.
Caution rules. The number of jobs created by business startups under
President Barack Obama is much lower than under the three previous presidents.
The World Economic Forum ranks the competitiveness of nations, and the U.S. has
lost ground in each of the last four years.
But, if growth is ever going to rebound, the U.S. will need a grandiosity
rebound and the policies that encourage rich people with brass: immigration
policies that attract people like Musk, tax rates that encourage risk and
government policies that boost them along (SpaceX has benefited greatly from
NASA, and Tesla received a big government loan).
Most of all, there has to be a culture that gives two cheers to
grandiosity. Government can influence growth, but it’s people like Musk who
create it. Stories like his are worth repeating because maybe some reader will
think: What grand transformational process do I want to be a part of? If Musk pinioned
his life to the Internet, electric cars and interplanetary travel, what are my
projects?
A few ridiculously ambitious people can change an economy more than any
president.

As James Smith over at the Prepper Podcast website highlights, “It is the type of ammunition and not necessarily the quantity that is troubling.”
Smith points out that the DHS’ acquisition of .308 rounds is of concern because they are set to be used by well-trained snipers.
“All of the sniper grade ammunition is being used by trained, or
in-the-process-of-being-trained snipers,” writes Smith, noting that the math
adds up to 135,384 potential kills for the snipers to make, using the 176,000
rounds of ammunition, basing the figures on the fact that United States Army
and Marine Corps snipers in the Vietnam War expended 1.3 rounds of ammunition
for each claimed and verified kill.
As
this police training website documents, .308 caliber
168 grain bullets are the ammunition of choice for experienced law enforcement
snipers.
The number of bullets purchased by the DHS now adds up to a staggering
1.4 billion over the last six months alone. Although all those bullets won’t be
delivered at once, the DHS’ commitment to purchasing such an arsenal of ammo is
both worrying and ironic given that Americans are being harassed and treated with suspicion for buying a couple of boxes of ammo at their local gun store.
Following a barrage of questions about why the federal agency has
purchased so many bullets, the DHS has refused to respond and even gone to the
lengths of censoring information relating to solicitations for ammunition.
The DHS’ decision back in March to purchase of 450 million rounds of .40-caliber hollow point bullets that are designed to expand upon entry and cause maximum organ
damage prompted questions as to why the federal agency required such powerful
bullets and in such large quantities merely for training purposes.
This was followed up by a more recent order for a
further 750 million rounds of assorted ammunition, including bullets that can
penetrate walls.
The mainstream media responded to the controversy by focusing on a purchase of 174,000 bullets by the Social
Security Administration while completely ignoring the fact that the DHS had
purchased well over a billion rounds.
Although the Associated Press and other media outlets dismissed concerns
over the federal government purchasing large quantities of ammunition as
paranoia, the fact that the DHS is preparing for civil unrest cannot be denied.
Having recently
acquired riot gear, the DHS also purchased a
number of bullet-proof checkpoint booths that
include ‘stop and go’ lights.
Last year, Department of Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano directed ICE to prepare for a mass influx of immigrants into the United States,
calling for the plan to deal with the “shelter” and “processing” of large
numbers of people.
The U.S. Army has also been preparing for domestic disorder.
A recently leaked US Army Military Police training manual for “Civil Disturbance Operations” outlines how military assets are to
be used domestically to quell riots, confiscate firearms and even kill
Americans on U.S. soil during mass civil unrest.
On page 20 of the manual, rules regarding the use of “deadly force” in
confronting “dissidents” are made disturbingly clear with the directive that a,
“Warning shot will not be fired.”
The manual includes lists of weapons to be used against “rioters” or
“demonstrators,” including “antiriot grenades.” It also advises troops to carry
their guns in the “safe port arms” stance, a psychological tactic aimed at
“making a show of force before rioters.” Non-lethal weapons and water cannons
are also included.

This new executive order is yet another incremental step that is pushing us closer to a North American Union and a one world economic system. Al concluir su sesión de dos semanas hoy, la Segunda Conferencia de las Naciones Unidas para examinar el Programa de Acción de 2001 sobre el tráfico de armas pequeñas y armas ligeras adoptó un documento final de consenso que destacó el compromiso renovado de la comunidad internacional para prevenir, combatir y eliminar el tráfico ilícito de drogas.
La adopción del documento representaba un logro importante para las delegaciones, que habían podido ponerse de acuerdo en un resultado final en la Primera Conferencia de Examen, celebrada en 2006. "Hemos logrado algo grande hoy en día", dijo U. Joy Ogwu (Nigeria), Presidente de la Conferencia, formalmente conocida como la Conferencia de las Naciones Unidas para examinar los progresos alcanzados en la ejecución del Programa de Acción para prevenir, combatir y eliminar el tráfico ilícito de Armas Pequeñas y Ligeras en Todos sus Aspectos.
Según el texto, los Estados Miembros renovaron su promesa de liberar al mundo del flagelo traje sobre ella en la fabricación ilícita de transferencia y circulación ilícitas de armas pequeñas y armas ligeras y su acumulación excesiva y proliferación incontrolada en muchas partes del mundo. También se comprometieron a movilizar la necesaria voluntad política y los recursos para ejecutar el Programa de Acción y el Instrumento internacional de localización, con el fin de lograr resultados claros y tangibles en los próximos seis años, hasta 2018.
Además del texto, los Estados hincapié en que el comercio ilícito de armas pequeñas y armas ligeras se ha seguido para sostener los conflictos, exacerba la violencia armada, socavar el respeto del derecho internacional humanitario y el derecho internacional de los derechos humanos, el terrorismo y la ayuda de grupos armados ilegales y facilitar los crecientes niveles de la delincuencia organizada transnacional, así como la trata de seres humanos, drogas y ciertos recursos naturales.
