Boston police said there were
no suspects in custody,
but CNN reported on a law enforcement memo that revealed cops were looking for
a “darker-skinned or black male” who speaks with a foreign accent.
It wasn’t clear if the man was connected to the
bombings, but he was seen in a sweatshirt and carrying a black backpack as he
tried to gain access to the area near the finish line about five minutes before
the explosions, according to CNN.
There were
also reports that a Saudi national was under guard at a Boston hospital in
connection with the bombings.

Authorities
in Boston are guarding a 20-year-old Saudi man in Monday’s horrifying bombing
attack at the Boston Marathon, reports The New York Post.
The man, who has not been formally charged in what the White House has now deemed “an act of terror,” is being described as a person of interest, according to Fox News, which said that it was still unclear to authorities as to whether the man was a victim or perpetrator.
According to the network, the man had suffered severe burns and was being guarded at an area hospital as the FBI continued to analyze video from several area surveillance cameras.
Citing a report from CBS News, The Post also said that Boston police have surveillance video of someone transporting multiple backpacks to the site of the explosions near the finish line of the race.
Meanwhile, the Boston Athletic Association, which organizes the annual event, issued a statement Monday evening extending its “deepest sympathies” to those who were affected in any way by the incident.
“Today is a sad day for the city of Boston, for the running community, and for all those who were here to enjoy the 117th running of the Boston Marathon. What was intended to be a day of joy and celebration quickly became a day in which running a marathon was of little importance,” the statement said.
“We can confirm that all of the remaining runners who were out on the course when the tragic events unfolded have been returned to a community meeting area,” officials added.
The association also said that all unclaimed runners’ bags may be picked up by runners “presenting their bib number or proof of race participation.” Police had earlier been treating all bags at the scene as suspicious.

Multiple casualties are reported after at least two explosions were heard near
the finish line of the Boston Marathon, a law enforcement source says. At least two people are dead and dozens injured – including up to 10 with amputated limbs – after two bombs tore through the finish line of the Boston Marathon and another exploded near a Boston library, according to the Boston Police Department.
The simultaneous explosions, and reports of two other unexploded devices found near the scene raised suspicions that the blasts, just before 3 p.m., could be part of a terrorist attack. Authorities shut down cellular service in the area in order to prevent remote detonations. Intelligence officials told The Associated Press two unexploded devices were being dismantled, and a third explosion near the JFK Library in the Columbia Point section of Dorchester. Competitors and race organizers were crying as they fled the bloody chaos, while some witnesses reported seeing victims with lost limbs.
"Somebody's leg flew by my head," a spectator, who gave his name as John Ross, told the Boston Herald. “I gave my belt to stop the blood.”
The first two explosions occurred at 2:50 p.m., about 50 to 100 yards apart, according to Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis.
Witnesses heard booms that sounded like two claps of thunder near the finish line inside the Fairmount Copley Plaza Hotel, according to multiple local reports. The horror unfolded as the city marked the 238th annual Patriot's Day, commemorating the anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord at the beginning of the Revolutionary War.
Video of the scene showed a number of emergency crews in the area tending to victims and blood on the ground near the finish line.
"I saw two explosions. The first one was beyond the finish line. I heard a loud bang and I saw smoke rising," Boston Herald reporter Chris Cassidy, who was running in the marathon, told the newspaper. "I kept running and I heard behind me a loud bang. It looked like it was in a trash can or something...There are people who have been hit with debris, people with bloody foreheads.”
"There are a lot of people down," said one man, whose bib No. 17528 identified him as Frank Deruyter of North Carolina. He was not injured, but marathon workers were carrying one woman, who did not appear to be a runner, to the medical area as blood gushed from her leg. A Boston police officer was wheeled from the course with a leg injury that was bleeding.
About three hours after the winners crossed the line, there was a loud explosion on the north side of Boylston Street, just before the photo bridge that marks the finish line. Another thunderous explosion could be heard a few seconds later.
Runner Laura McLean of Toronto said she heard two explosions outside the medical tent.
"There are people who are really, really bloody," McLean said. "They were pulling them into the medical tent."
Cherie Falgoust was waiting for her husband, who was running the race. "I was expecting my husband any minute," she said. "I don't know what this building is ... it just blew. Just a big bomb, a loud boom, and then glass everywhere. Something hit my head. I don't know what it was. I just ducked."
Authorities in New York, meanwhile, are deploying counter-terrorism vehicles around landmark sites in Manhattan, including prominent hotels, according to the New York City Police Department.
Nearly 25,000 people, including runners from around the world, competed in Boston's celebrated 26.2-mile race, attracting huge throngs of onlookers, especially near the finish line.
"This is a horrific day in Boston," Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick said in a statement. "My thoughts and prayers are with those who have been injured. I have been in touch with the President, Mayor [Thomas] Menino and our public safety leaders. Our focus is on making sure that the area around Copley Square is safe and secured. I am asking everyone to stay away from Copley Square and let the first responders do their jobs."

A la memoria de Bebo Valdés: grande
entre los grandes de la música cubana. Por Miguel Cancio. CPPD-España
Nació en Quivicán, el 9 de
Octubre de 1918 y falleció el 22 de marzo 2013, este gran músico y
compositor cubano Bebo Caballón Valdés (Caballón por lo alto y grande
que era) moría a los 94 años en Estocolmo (Suecia). La capital de
Suecia lo acogió, tras abandonar Cuba comunista en 1960. Allí trabajaba tocando
el piano en un hotel, se volvió a casar, allí esta enterrada su esposa sueca y
él.
En mayo 2004, escribí un
artículo en honor de uno de los músicos cubanos mas grandes; el gran pianista y
compositor Bebo Caballón Valdés y para defender la dignidad y
libertad para Cuba y todos los cubanos de dentro y fuera. Frente al pasotismo y
sobre todo la cobardía e indignidad de bastantes cubanos, frente al odio,
corrupción y terror comunista impuesto por el régimen de los tiranos Fidel
y Raúl Castro. Bebo dejó Cuba comunista en 1960 y nunca se le sometió y
fue perseguido. Defendió la dignidad y libertad para Cuba, la
iniciativa libre, crítica, creativa y humanitaria de las personas.
Cuba, tenía un gran nivel
de vida que superaba a España e Italia, competía en diferentes e
importantes sectores con las naciones mas desarrolladas, siendo la nación del
mundo que, antes de la llegada de los comunistas al poder en 1959 atraía mas
emigrantes. Cuba comunista ha expulsado, forzado a huir de su Paraíso a la
mayor parte de sus mejores hijos (que querían vivir en libertad, de su trabajo,
con iniciativa libre y propia) artistas, autores, creadores, profesionales,
emprendedores.
El gran músico cubano Paquito
de Rivera, también exiliado, llamó a Bebo, en 1994, a Estocolmo para grabar un
disco en Alemania. Este gran genio musical, con la humildad que lo
caracterizaba, hizo grandes aportaciones y arreglos para dicho disco y Paquito,
al comprobar las maravillas que había hecho Bebo, le puso por titulo en inglés:
Bebo cabalga de nuevo. En este disco podemos escuchar un dúo
maravilloso de Bebo genialmente al piano y el gran guitarrista de Irakere Carlos
Emilio Morales interpretando una maravillosa, seductora,
fascinante composición, La Comparsa, del gran compositor Ernesto Lecuona.
Quiero rendirle, a Bebo
Caballón Valdés y su obra, un humilde pero muy sentido y emocionado homenaje,
pues tuve la inmensa fortuna de verlo tocar magistralmente su piano, hace unos
años, en la histórica Plaza del Obradoiro, frente a la catedral de Santiago
de Compostela donde llegan, muy cansados, felices y emocionados, los buenos
peregrinos tras hacer el Camino de Santiago.
Bebo Valdés, tras los
grandes éxitos que consiguió a partir de los años 90 se instaló también en
España, en Benalmádena (Malaga), para sentir el sol, la guasa y alegría del
Sur de España que le recordaban a su siempre añorada y querida Cubita La
Bella de Cachita, su Patrona la Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre, y, sobre
todo su queridisima Habana, la Llave del Nuevo Mundo, La Ciudad de las
Columnas (Alejo Carpentier), la Habana de cine, musical y sensualmente
wagneriana, cervantina, borgiana y tigresa de los ritmos, vacilones y cuerpos
divinos (Guillermo Cabrera Infante ¡que bien lo paso con este genial,
rumbero y musical escritor cubano!); a sus muy queridas Cuba y La Habana antes
de que fuesen arrasadas, contaminadas, corrompidas, destruidas material,
inmaterial y moralmente por los comunistas cubanos con la colaboración de los
que, dentro y fuera, le hicieron, le vienen haciendo el juego.
Vitalidad, luz, ritmo,
sensibilidad, creatividad, humor, risa, ironía, pasión-feeling-soul, poesía y
libertad, tocando solo o en dúo, quinteto, sexteto,
noneto, big band y lo que le echen, hacen de Bebo Caballón Valdés, el niño mas
feliz y sonriente del mundo con sus pantalones bombachos (como el gran
Cachao El Rey del Mambo, también fallecido y al que también tuve
la suerte de escuchar en La Coruña. Un gran recuerdo para él, otro inmenso
músico como Bebo, su amigo y que ahora están descargando, montando una
gran rumba, un gran guateque, un buen bochinche, una buena bachata en el cielo)
y de octavas divinas, la embriaguez dionisíaca del genio creador, mientras
llueven rayos, caen estrellas y Bartolo Benny Moré (el grande de los
grandes del bolero también tocó con Bebo) en Radio Progreso.
Bebo Caballón Valdés, era muy
feliz en Cuba trabajando con su música como un autentico pura sangre y en
durísimos ensayos; Bebo alcanzo merecidamente la gloria.
Todo se perdió, llegaron los sanguinarios y totalitarios comandantes
marxistas-leninistas y todo se paró, degradaron, corrompieron. Sembraron en Cuba
lo peor que encierra el ser humano: el odio, la delación, venganza, envidia y
traición de todos contra todos.
El matonismo, corrupción y
gansterismo, degradación y crueldad, escombros, despojos
y ruina moral generada por la sanguinaria tiranía comunista
totalitaria llegan al extremo, no solo de condenar al exilio, liquidarlo
simbólicamente (y algunos, bastantes, materialmente), de insultar, injuriar y
perseguir a grandes y universales artistas cubanos (a los que, incluso, se les
destrozaron las obras originales, se les chantajeó de múltiples formas, se les
prohibió visitar sus familiares, acudir en su amparo e incluso
enterrarlos; se les impidió reunir a la familia) como: Celia Cruz, La Lupe,
Reinaldo Arenas, Gastón Baquero, Machito (al que también tuve la gran
suerte de ver y escuchar en Vigo con una gran orquesta poco antes de morir), Cabrera
Infante, Bebo Valdés, Cachao, Olga Guillot, Andy García y muchos más, lista
muy larga que podría añadirse y no solo en el campo artístico sino en
el científico, profesional, empresarial, en todos los campos, etnias, edades y
procedencias.
Denuncia Bebo: Me separaron
de mi familia, de mi padre, mis hermanos, mi patria; no solo se persiguió a
los músicos, también a los homosexuales. Por eso salí de allí. Empezaban las
venganzas personales y no pude soportarlo; no me gusta el régimen comunista
castrista. Por eso nunca he ido a China a Rusia.
En la película Calle 54 por
estos dos monstruos de la mejor música cubana y universal, anticastristas,
cubanisimos, universales y geniales: Bebo Caballón Valdés e Israel Cachao
López. Interpretaron Lágrimas Negras, bolero-son de 1929 con letra y
música de Miguel Matamoros (1894-1971).
Para no acabar con llantos y
penas - Vivir es cantar y tocar libre y alegremente; callar, claudicar,
amargarse y someterse nunca -, en este pequeño homenaje a Bebo Caballón
Valdés y a todos los artistas cubanos, y cubanos en general que no han perdido
la dignidad y reivindican, ayer, hoy y mañana, el respeto a los derechos
humanos, libertades, democracia ya para Cuba, para todos los cubanos de dentro
y fuera. Y para terminar este escrito en honor de Bebo Caballón Valdés, Cubano
Grande entre los Grandes, echamos mano de uno de los principales referentes
de la mejor Cuba, José Marti: ‘Cuando los habitantes de un pueblo
emigran, no son ellos los que debían emigrar, sino sus gobernantes’; ‘Los
hombres van en dos bandos: los que aman y construyen, y los que odian y
destruyen; Los bárbaros que todo lo confían a la fuerza y a la violencia nada
construyen, porque sus simientes son de odio’; ‘Pueblo que se somete, perece’;
‘La música es la más bella forma de lo bello’; ‘Sólo el amor engendra melodías’.

las Naciones Unidas sobre Comercio de Armas.

Estados Unidos entre en el Tratado de las Naciones Unidas sobre Comercio de

El Tratado de la ONU sobre armas pequeñas, que ha sido defendido por
la Administración de Obama, que efectivamente han impuesto una prohibición
global sobre la importación y exportación de armas de fuego pequeñas. La

Sistemas Jurídicos Anglosajón y Napoleónico AMENPER.
En Cuba como otras naciones de origen Latino, la ley se derivaba del código
romano, también llamado el código Napoleónico, el sistema de la USA deriva
del derecho anglosajón.
La diferencia principal es que en el código Británico o Anglosajón toda
persona inculpada de un delito tiene del derecho a que se presuma su inocencia
mientras no es establezca legalmente su culpabilidad. El principio de inocencia
o presunción de inocencia es un principio jurídico penal Anglosajón que
establece la inocencia de persona como regla. Solamente a
través de un proceso o juicio en el que se demuestre la culpabilidad de la
persona, podrá el Estado aplicarle una pena o sanción. Los Estados Unidos
son muy celosos de este principio jurídico.
El sistema latino basado en el sistema romano y a consecuencia en el
código Napoleónico, es un sistema cerrado que se basa en el cumplimento de las
leyes literalmente, no por casos previos, o situaciones circunstanciales, y la
persona sospechosa de un crimen se considera culpable hasta que pueda probar su
inocencia. Para lo que hemos crecido dentro del ordenamiento del el
sistema romanista, ofrece un interés extraordinario cuando vivimos en un país
bajo el sistema jurídico anglosajón.
En los Estados Unidos se ha sofisticado tanto el concepto jurídico
Anglosajón que hay veces que se cae en lo ridículo. Hemos visto casos en
que una persona es declarada inocente después de haber cometido un crimen
horrendo, porque una figura pública como el presidente, insinuó su culpabilidad
evidente, antes de haber sido juzgado, y el juez consideró que la persona la
habían juzgado sin juicio y la dejó en libertad porque se habían violado sus
derechos.
En otras palabras, si entra un policía en un cuarto sin ventanas y ve
al esposo apuñaleando a su mujer, el hombre es detenido pero su condición es de
“sospechoso” no se puede decir que es culpable hasta que le celebren
juicio. Si el policía llega tarde y el hombre sale corriendo por la calle
con el cuchillo ensangrentado en la mano y es detenido, es calificado
como una persona de “interés” en un caso que es circunstancial y que el fiscal
tiene que probar la culpabilidad.
En el sistema de Cuba, si la mujer aparecía apuñalada y el marido
“desapareció” sin dejar rastro, y una vecina chismosa dice que la mujer y él
siempre estaban peleando y que él tenía una queridita, cuando aparece, lo
arrestan y puede ser condenado si no puede probar su inocencia.
¿Cuál sistema es mejor? Creo que los dos son buenos, pero si se
llevan de una manera plausible y pragmática.
Que no se exagere como en el caso americano en que un culpable
puede ser declarado inocente, y en el caso latino en que muchas veces la
sospecha se vuelve culpabilidad. Pero cualquiera de los dos es mejor que el
sistema jurídico de Fidel, en que el único concepto jurídico es la voluntad del
Comandante en Jefe.
Gen. Hayden: Boston-Style Attacks May Be ‘The New Normal’

The Boston
marathon bombing may not represent the work of al-Qaida, but still could be a
harbinger of future attacks targeting Americans in their own country, warns
Gen. Michael Hayden, the retired four-star general and past director of both
the National Security Agency and the CIA.
In an exclusive interview, Hayden told Newsmax that the attack may be an act of domestic terrorism, or could be the act of an al-Qaida inspired, lone wolf. Either of those scenarios would account for the fact that al-Qaida and its affiliates have yet to claim credit for the two bombs that went off almost simultaneously near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday.
But he said the bombing could foreshadow future attacks on the U.S. homeland, even if al-Qaida was not involved.
“As we move into this next phase of this war with al-Qaida,” said Hayden, “and their ability to conduct massive-casualty attacks against iconic targets of the spirit of 9/11, these are probably the kinds of attacks that they would then resort to, in order to try to achieve their objectives.”
Among the hallmarks of this new era of terrorism, he said, is that the attacks “are not overly complex, or at least not complex in the way that it requires a massive cell of people to be involved.”
Hayden said the ultimate evaluation of the level of sophisticated involved in the bombing will “come down to the weapon, how complex that was, how reliable it was, and whether the reports were true that there were other weapons out there as well.”
The former CIA chief said he has long feared that more numerous, less sophisticated attacks against the United States may be inevitable.
“This regrettably, if it does turn out to be al-Qaida based terrorism, might be the new normal,” said the intelligence expert who led the U.S. intelligence apparatus under former President George W. Bush. “I’ve been fond of saying that because of all the things that we’ve done well since 9/11, future attacks against the United States will be less complex, less likely to succeed, less lethal if they do succeed — but they’re just going to be more numerous.
“And this may just be an example of one of those more numerous, less complex attacks succeeding,” he said, quickly adding, “But we don’t know that yet . . . we’ve just got to let the facts take us where they will.”
Asked to comment on the response that led FAA officials to close Boston airspace, and to tighten security in New York and Washington, Hayden said this too was a sign of the times.
“Sadly, we’re getting really good at this,” he told Newsmax. “We’re getting really good at this because — it’s sad — we all realize that this is now the kind of the world we live in. The first responders knew what to do the instant of the detonation in Boston, and then we had these ‘sympathetic alerts,’ I think we’d call them in the military, in other cities just as a precaution, not based as far as I can tell on any kind of threat intelligence. But these systems are ready to go.”
Overall, Hayden said, America remains a “tough target” for terrorists to attack. “We’re a tough target because we’re aggressive against our enemies abroad, we take the fight to them,” he said. “We’re a tough target because Americans have learned to live with a great deal of inconvenience. And we’re a tough target because Americans are a pretty resilient people.”
Hayden predicted that security officials in the United States and abroad will step up their security efforts in the days to come.
“You always fear a copy-cat attack,” Hayden told Newsmax. “If someone has gotten away with something in one location, others equally inspired will view that as a methodology they can use as well.
“We looked at the attack in Mumbai [India] shortly before Thanksgiving in 2008, and shook our heads in worry that others would go to school on that attack. To date, that hasn’t happened. But that doesn’t mean it won’t happen in this case.”
Asked how Americans should respond, knowing that terrorist mayhem has come to America’s shores, Hayden replied: “The best of all possible worlds is sort of a blend of the British bumper sticker and the American one. The British one is, ‘Keep calm and carry on.’ The American is, ‘If you see something, say something.’
“You just put those two together,” said Hayden, “and move on with your life.”

Nixon famously insisted that whatever the President does is legal, by definition. Nixon learned otherwise, but only because the media-government complex ousted him from office. Now with media liberal superstar Obama, all bets are off. As John Glaser writes,
“In case you’ve been asleep for the whole of Barack Obama’s first term, here’s one fundamental doctrine that has proven itself to guide his administration: if the President does it, it’s not illegal.”
One example of ignoring law can be seen in the proposed military budget. Obama has officially proposed a budget for what we call “defense.” Benjamin Friedman comments on it for the Cato Institute’s blog:
“That $640.5 billion includes $88.5 billion for war (a.k.a. overseas contingency operations), $526.6 for non-war spending in the Department of Defense, and another $25.4 billion spending outside DoD, mostly for nuclear weapons in the Department of Energy, which officially counts as “national defense” or budget function 050 spending. Those spending levels ignore the budgetary cap set by law and the political reality it reflects. The $552 billion requested in 2014 for non-war “national defense” spending exceeds by $55 billion the spending cap set by the 2011 Budget Control Act, as amended by the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012.”
Friedman doesn’t object too much to this process. He assumes that Congress is going to make cuts. I could understand that Obama would prefer to propose high and make the Republican-controlled Congress take responsibility for reducing the expenditures to what is possible.

The White
House does not yet know who planned and carried out explosions at the Boston
Marathon, but is handling the incident as “an act of terror,” a White House
official said on Monday.
“Any event with multiple explosive devices — as this appears to be — is clearly an act of terror, and will be approached as an act of terror,” the official told Reuters.
“However, we don't yet know who carried out this attack, and a thorough investigation will have to determine whether it was planned and carried out by a terrorist group, foreign or domestic,” the official said.
Twin bombs ripped through the end of the Boston Marathon, near the finish line, injuring at least 141 people and killing three, including an 8-year-old boy. Hundreds of spectators fled the scene while others helped carry victims to help.
President Barack Obama, who was careful not to use the word “terrorism,” said he had directed the “full resources of the federal government” to help protect the people of Boston following twin bombings at the finish line of the Boston Marathon.
Obama assured the nation that although “we do not know who did it or why,” authorities would get to the bottom of the attack.
Speaking from the White House Monday evening, Obama reacted to the tragic attack in Boston by vowing, “We will find out who did this, and we will hold them accountable.”
Obama said federal resources also will help increase security across the United States and aid the investigation into who was behind the attack.
“The American people will say a prayer for Boston tonight, and Michelle and I send our deepest thoughts and prayers to the families of the victims in the wake of this senseless loss,” the president said.
Obama added that he spoke with FBI Director Robert Mueller and Director of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, as well as Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Tom Menino about the bombings. He said all the necessary federal resources are being mobilized to respond.
Obama praised the first responders who reacted to the incident, saying police, firefighters, and national guard members “responded heroically and continue to do so as we speak.” He added, “We salute all those who responded and assisted so quickly and so professionally.”
The president described Boston as “a tough and resilient town.” He said he is “supremely confident” that Bostonians will rally together in the aftermath of the bombing at the Boston Marathon, adding that “the American people will be with them every step of the way.”

$515 entre 3 = $171,700,000 entre 30 = SOLAMENTE $5,723,000 cantidad IRRISORIA para
compañías que valen más $500 millones...
Los restantes $343,300,000 los tienen que financiar los
750 peloteros... CANTIDAD que a esos señores que ganan millones es también IRRISORIA que equivale a CADA UNO $458,000.00 financiada a 20 años le costaría
