DEVELOPING:
Mike Brown’s Family Could Finally Pay the Price For Their Crimes…
Back in
October, Lesley McSpadden,
mother of Michael Brown, confronted Pearlie Gordon, Brown’s grandmother, over a
booth the grandmother had set up selling merchandise bearing Mike Brown’s name
to protesters.
McSpadden,
along with 20-30 other people, ultimately ransacked the booth, assaulting
members of Gordon’s group, destroying merchandise and stealing nearly $2,000 in
cash and goods.
The Ferguson
Police Department has now closed its investigation into the matter and has handed over its findings
to the St. Louis County Prosecutor’s Office.
That office
was reportedly reviewing the evidence to determine if criminal charges should
be filed in this family dispute that is considered by many a felony armed
robbery, according to The Smoking Gun.
Hopefully,
prosecutors will also consider filing charges against McSpadden’s husband,
Louis Head, who was present and involved in the armed robbery, but is better
known for his role in inciting the violent riots in Ferguson after a grand jury
declined to file charges against Officer Wilson.

The incident
sparked months of protests and riots, and the dust is still settling on some of the various actors who took
part in the utter insanity, as consequences and repercussions are finally being
dealt out to those who committed criminal acts.
One such
incident was this assault and robbery that took place between members of
Mike Brown’s family, and it looks now like charges may finally be filed.

Giuliani Calls Obama ‘Extremely Reckless’ on Iran…
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani said Saturday that he believes
President Barack Obama’s pushing of negotiations with Iran is “extremely
reckless” and that anyone who believes Iran can be trusted with a nuclear capability
is “stupid.”
Following his speech at a conference in Berlin organized by Iranian
exiles, Giuliani told
the Associated Press, “What he [Obama] is doing with Iran right now is
extremely reckless and it’s going to create an Iranian-controlled northern
Middle East.”

The former mayor pointed to Iranian influence in Syria and Iraq, which
he said could spur a dangerous reaction from Saudi Arabia.
During his speech to the National Council of Resistance of Iran,
Giuliani said if the Obama administration didn’t take a stronger position on
Iran, it risked appeasing an “insane” regime.
The AP reported:
Giuliani claimed that the government in Tehran, which is seeking to
reach a deal with world powers to lift crippling international sanctions, “has
proven to us that it shouldn’t be trusted with any kind of nuclear capacity.”
Anyone who thought otherwise was “stupid” or risking the kind of
appeasement that Britain tried with Nazi Germany in 1938, he said.
Giuliani last month suggested Obama was “a moron” for negotiating with Iran which
he likened to “playing poker with a guy who cheated you twice before.”
“You know who does that? A moron. An agreement with Iran with regard to
nuclear power should be very simple. Iran should not be allowed to have any
form of nuclear power,” Giuliani said on Feb. 13. “This is like playing poker
with a guy who cheated you twice before. You know who does that? A moron. An

Secretary of State John Kerry has been flying over the past week between
Europe and the Middle East, meeting with Iranian negotiators and in parallel
trying to allay
the concerns of American Persian Gulf allieswho fear a
future Iranian nuclear weapons capability will threaten their security.
The AP noted that the National Council of Resistance of Iran is
associated with the People’s Mujahedin of Iran, an Iranian armed resistance
group which in 2012 was taken off the State Department’s list of terrorist
organizations.

Mirando al cuadro, vemos que realmente el problema no son los candidatos
sino el Partido Demócrata. En la última reunión del partido
Comunista de Estados Unidos, declararon que no iban a presentar ningún
candidato simbólico como cada año, que votaran por el partido Demócrata.
Los demócratas han pasado a ser el partido Socialista de los Estados
Unidos, y creo que ya es hora que lo declaren abiertamente.
Arriba por orden verán los sucesores, todos socialistas, todos liberales,
no hay ninguno con la más mínima tendencia central.
Los de primera línea son,
La conocida posible sucesora Elizabeth Warren, seguida de Janet Napolitano,
conocida por nosotros por haber sido la presidenta de la Universidad de Miami,
y que tiene la ventaja como Elizabeth y Hillary de ser más o menos una
mujer. Después viene otro conocido el vicepresidente Joe Biden, que
quizás no sea elegido pero será divertido en las disertaciones de la
campaña.
Después viene Jim Webb, Senador de Virginia, que pudiera darle
que hacer a Elizabeth, es liberal pero popular, lo mismo se Puede decir de
Bernie Sanders que le sigue. Bernie es independiente porque
considera que el partido demócrata está demasiado a la derecha, así que se
pueden imaginar lo que piensa, pero es un senador independiente del estado de
Vermont. El último de la primera línea, no tiene que
presentarse, nuestro maestro negociador de política exterior el Secretario de

de sus ideas socialistas. Después viene Robby Wells, que era coach de la
Universidad de Savannah, lo puse en primera línea aunque debiera estar en la
línea de los pintorescos, pero se ganó su puesto en la segunda línea por haber
tenido las agallas de haber presentado ya oficialmente su candidatura. Le sigue
Paul Strauss Senador del Distrito de Columbia, el único estado si se puede
llamar así que votó contra Ronald Reagan. Estos cuatro que siguen
son serios socialistas con buen chance también, Jake Markell el sucesor de Joe
Biden como gobernador de Delaware, Mark Wasrner, senador de
Virginia, Brian Schweitzer Gobernador de Montana, y Martin O´Malley
Gobernador de Maryland.
En la última línea, están los payasos del circo que vamos a ver cuando
empiece la temporada, son varidados en su objetivo cómico. Está Kasim Reed
alcalde de Atlanta que aspira bajo el derecho de ser negro con nombre musulmán
y debe de ser el heredero del otro negro con nombre musulmán, le sigue Joaquín
Castro, que aspira aunque nada más que es representante de un distrito de
Texas, porque es hispano y tiene el nombre de Castro, que cree que le traerá
los votos de los espías cubanos en los Estados Unidos que son
bastante. Después viene Jeff Boss, que será divertido oír sus
teorías conspirativas, creo que si es electo nombrará a un extraterrestre como
secretario de estado, y creo que será mejor que Kerry. Viene
después Vermín Supreme, que su nombre lo dice todo, este año vuelve a ser
candidato pintoresco como todos los años, aunque ahora tiene competencia, como
los tres que le siguen, Howard Dean, siempre un comunista es malo,
pero comunista y loco es peor. Después viene la representación de
Hollywood, la izquierda de Beverly Hills en cargos políticos, Al Franken, el
cómico de Hollywood que no era bueno como cómico y no es bueno como Senador a
la fuerzas de Minnesota donde no vivía allí, pero que escogió el estado por ser
el de más personas liberales. Después también de Hollywood George Clooney
que no sabe nada de nada pero aspira porque dice que es bien

through news reports that he first learned that Hillary Rodham Clinton used a private, nongovernment email account
while serving as his secretary of state.

News, Obama said he’s glad that Clinton has instructed that those emails about
official business be disclosed. He also maintained that his administration
remains the most transparent ever.
Clinton has drawn criticism for using
a private server during the four years she was the nation’s top diplomat. Her
sidestepping official government email also raises questions about whether all
pertinent messages have been preserved as well as turned over for congressional
investigations and lawsuits.
Clinton said that she’s turned over
all relevant emails — totaling 55,000 pages — to the State Department for
review.

Villalon: Menendez Says 'Not Going Anywhere' After Reports of Charges
Senator Robert
Menendez denied any wrongdoing on Friday and said he was "not
going anywhere" after multiple reports that the U.S. Justice Department is
preparing criminal corruption charges against the New Jersey Democrat.
Citing
unidentified sources briefed on the case, CNN said the charges center on
allegations Menendez used his office to promote the business interests of a
Democratic Party donor and friend in exchange for gifts.
"I have
always conducted myself appropriately and in accordance with the law,"
Menendez said in a statement he read to reporters in Newark, New Jersey.
"I am not
going anywhere," the senator said. He did not take any questions.
CNN said Attorney
General Eric Holder has given the green light for prosecutors to proceed with
charges and an announcement could arrive in coming weeks.
Holder, who was
traveling in South Carolina with President Barack Obama, said he could not
comment.
Justice Department
officials declined to comment.
Federal
authorities have probed Menendez's relationship with Florida ophthalmologist
Salomon Melgen, a Democratic donor who has been accused of over-billing the
Medicare program.
The senator said
his friendship with Melgen had spanned decades and they "have given each
other birthday, holiday and wedding presents - just as friends do."
Two law
enforcement officials told Reuters the Federal Bureau of Investigation had been
conducting a major corruption investigation of Menendez for some time, and one
said it was nearing completion.
Menendez is the
former chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, where he is now the
top Democrat. He has been a critic of the Obama administration's policy on Cuba
and Iran, but he is a staunch supporter of the White House on other issues.
Media reports over
the past two years alleging wrongdoing by Menendez have not been substantiated.
At least one, involving underage prostitutes, has been discredited.
Menendez, who is
Cuban-American, is among the most senior Hispanic politicians in the country.
He was re-elected to a second Senate term in 2012, and spent 14 years in the
House of Representatives.
CNN said the
government's case focuses on Melgen and, in part, on plane trips that Menendez
took in 2010 to the Dominican Republic as a guest of Melgen.
In 2013,
Menendez's campaign repaid Melgen $11,250 for a flight on Melgen's private
plane three years earlier.
Prosecutors are
focusing on whether Menendez promoted Melgen's business interest in a Dominican
Republic government contract for port screening equipment, CNN said.

Para cada artículo escrito y comentario publicado en la prensa liberal
sobre blancos son privilegiados o cómo no existe tal cosa como el racismo
inverso, hay razones que vehementemente demuestran lo contrario.
Hay personas de diferentes razas y origenes que han adquirido un
status económico y social mayor que la mayoría de la clase media americana,
pero seguimos oyendo las acusaciones de opresión racial y económica, estamos en
una carrera desbocada de racismo a la inversa.
Si alguien te llama un "estúpido blanco privilegiado", te tienes
que sentir mal. Sabes que eres una buena persona y no eres racista,
que has trabajado duro para lo que tienes en tu vida. Esto claramente no es
justo.
Vamos a ver la conducta de Obama en este asunto de la agenda racial. ¿Quién
podría olvidar cuando el Presidente se inyecta en el fiasco de Trayvon Martin
diciendo que si él tenía un hijo, habría salido como Trayvon? ¿Bueno y que nos
dice cuando un muchacho blanco es asesinado? ¿Técnicamente, Obama es mitad
blanco, así que no debiera hacer una declaración similar diciendo que si él
tenía un hijo podría haber sido igual que el blanquito? Por supuesto que no, Obama
siempre está notablemente callado cuando hay la instancia de un crimen de odio
contra una persona blanca. Gracias a estas declaraciones paternalistas de
Obama, los negros amenazaron con matar a blancos y con disturbios si Zimmerman
era absuelto. Sólo estaban interesados en la condena del Zimmerman porque fue
interpretado por los medios de propaganda y activistas negros como que un
blanco (aunque Zimmerman es hispano) asesinó a un negro.
A los negros no les importa un pito que un negro mate a otro negro y ese
homicidio ocurre diariamente en grandes números en toda América. Recuerda el
código, los negros no pueden criticar ni ejecutar ninguna acción negativa de
cualquier negro. A través de la corrección política, se han obligados para
aceptar el código Universal de oscuridad y no permitir que critiquen el mal
comportamiento de los negros. Tristemente ridículo, ¿verdad?
Los problemas raciales en el país han estado intensificando desde Barack
Obama asumió la residencia en la casa blanca y luego incluso más aún después de
nombrar a Eric Holder a la Procuraduría General. Al parecer, que han logrado
es envalentonar a los negros a ser más racistas y aumentando el odio
hacia los blancos. Después del incidente de Trayvon Martin en Florida, muchos
negros llevaron ataques brutales contra blancos por ninguna otra razón que su
odio racial. Ferguson sólo ha derramado más combustible al fuego del odio
racial aunque todas las pruebas exoneraron al oficial Darren Wilson.
Nadie odia al negro por negro. Lo odian porque individualmente este negro
salió corriendo, agarró una pistola, y le disparó a otra persona, o fue a
saquear una tienda, no es un criminal por ser negro. Es un criminal
por sus acciones de la cual es responsable individualmente
Esto es simplemente un nuevo racismo. Este racismo no se trata de raza. Una
de las cosas que realmente provoca la ira de los demócratas liberales negros es
cuando encuentran una persona negra que es un conservador y un republicano. No
parecen entender la posibilidad de que los miembros de su propio tono de piel
tengan valores razonables.
Esto es un síntoma de un problema mayor en la sociedad estadounidense. Se
trata de valores, se trata de la moral, esto es sobre integridad no sobre la
raza. Es responsabilidad personal por las acciones de uno mismo, mismo y a los

atacantes y atacado y de descontento por parte de los atacados, lo único es que
en este caso el descontento es de los blancos, y es igualmente perjudicial para
los objetivos de una sociedad libre. Sin embargo, a diferencia del racismo
violento del pasado el racismo inverso es sutil y aparentemente inofensiva.
Vemos en las noticias de hoy de personas que fueron despedidos porque escribieron
los llamados E mails de odio en Ferguson
Ahora, si no es el objetivo de "Ser despedido por racistas" para
cambiar las vistas de los racistas, en cualquier centro de trabajo se hubieran
tomados otras medidas de recomendación y hasta penalidades de disciplina, Pero
despedirlos es simplemente castigarlos económicamente por esas opiniones — un
resultado que parece estar funcionando según lo previsto. Y esto tiene que
estar mal, va contra la libertad de expresión en un centro de trabajo.
Me van a decir honestamente "opresión” existe y por eso la expresión
racista es ilegal, pero entonces el castigo a lo ilegal tendría que tener
igualdad para que la igualdad fuera efectiva entonces seguiría que cualquier
violación de ilegalidad tendría que ser castigada por igual sin importar la
raza. El castigo y la detención por asesinato o robo o asalto agravado tendrían
que ser condenado sin importar la raza. La ley no cambia la realidad, sólo lo
hace punible, no importa la raza de los infractores
Pero en la decisión de la investigación de Fergurson se critica la
detención de los violadores de la ley negros por parte de los agentes de la
ley..
El otro objeto de acusación de racismo es el que se perpetra contra los
inmigrantes ilegales.
Esta objeción se hace con frecuencia, y aunque otras personas han tratado
de razonar con aquellos que lo dicen. Decimos, mira la inmigración de exilados
cubanos al principio de la revolución castrista. Este sin lugar a dudas para
los que lo vivimos es un tema muy atado en prejuicio y discriminación.
Independientemente del nivel del prejuicio al que nos enfrentamos en la
vida diaria en aquella época, cada uno de nosotros lo manejó de manera
propia. Algunas personas desarrollan amargura, algunas personas
depresión, algunas personas se sintieron atrapados en una cultura extraña, pero
lo que más encontramos fue que la mayoría pudieron adaptarse a lo que esperaba
de ellos su nuevo país y así vivir una vida con un prejuicio muy limitado. Hay
muchas reacciones personales diferentes, pero el mensaje general es que si una
persona fuera de la corriente principal de la sociedad establecida, trabaja
hacia sus metas, aunque luchando cada una en su propia manera con
cualquier tipo de, son capaces de tener éxito

abiertamente un culto a la personalidad de los regímenes socialistas
autoritarios a menudo visto en las democracias no constitucionales en
Latinoamérica. La ironía es que la Presidencia del Sr. Obama debía haber traído
la curación racial y la reconciliación. En cambio, el país se polariza más
racialmente e ideológicamente que en cualquier momento en la memoria moderna.

Trey Gowdy: Hillary's Emails Missing From Libya Trip
There are still significant gaps in the emails former
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has turned over to the committee
investigating the Benghazi terror attacks, Rep. Trey Gowdy said Sunday,
including from the day a now-iconic photo of her was taken while she was flying
to Libya.
"There are gaps of months and months and months," Gowdy, a South Carolina Republican and head of the House select committee on Benghazi, told CBS' "Face the Nation" host Bob Schieffer.
"If you think to that iconic picture of her on a C-17 flying to Libya, sunglasses on, she has her handheld device in her hand, [but] we have no emails from that day. In fact, we have no emails from that trip."
Clinton has used that photograph as the cover shot on official Twitter account, and Gowdy said it hard to believe there are no emails available from that trip.
"It strains credibility to believe that if you’re on your way to Libya to discuss Libyan policy that there’s not a single document has been turned over to Congress," said Gowdy.
Further, he told Schieffer, it's not up to Clinton to decide what is a public record and what is not, and he's lost confidence in the State Department to make the determination on the matter.
"They're the ones who allowed this arrangement, and did nothing about this arrangement until they got the request from our committee," Gowdy said, noting that a "neutral, detached auditor" is needed to determine what should be considered a public record.
And while Gowdy said his committee is not entitled to everything on the email records, and he doesn't want everything, "I just want everything related to Libya and Benghazi."

Further, he told Schieffer, it's not up to Clinton to decide what is a public record and what is not, and he's lost confidence in the State Department to make the determination on the matter.
"They're the ones who allowed this arrangement, and did nothing about this arrangement until they got the request from our committee," Gowdy said, noting that a "neutral, detached auditor" is needed to determine what should be considered a public record.
And while Gowdy said his committee is not entitled to everything on the email records, and he doesn't want everything, "I just want everything related to Libya and Benghazi."
Clinton last week, through her Twitter account, called
upon the State Department to make the emails public, and Maryland Rep. Elijah
Cummings, the ranking Democrat on the Benghazi committee, has recommended Gowdy
release some 300 emails that Clinton has already turned over, reports Mediaite.
However, Gowdy told Schieffer that he would not selectively release the emails.

conservative political activist who participated in a conference call with the
White House said President Obama should change Thanksgiving Day to a holiday
dedicated to illegal immigrants.
Susan
Payne of Maryland told radio talk show host Joe Miller on KOAN Wednesday
this would be happening once this “amnesty mill” is complete. Miller was the
Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate in Alaska in 2010.
Earlier this week, the House passed legislation authorizing
funding for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security through the end of the fiscal year. Inserted in that legislation is a provision to
proceed with President Obama’s executive actions on amnesty, a highly contested
issue on which the president ultimately prevailed.
“Once
this is all finished, there should be another executive order that changes
Thanksgiving to ‘Celebrate Immigrants Day.’” Payne said. “I was about ready to
blow my top when I heard that.”
The
activist told syndicated radio host Mark Levin in a previous interview earlier in the week the
call was hosted by Cecilia Muñoz, assistant to the president and director of
the Domestic Policy Council.
Payne,
a contributor for radio station WCBM in Baltimore, said people called in from
various places in the United States including Chicago, Los Angeles, and
Vermont. Her impression of the call, as she described it on the air Wednesday,
was: “How can we make life better for an illegal alien? And basically kicking
the citizen out to the curb.”

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton hasn't yet been hurt over her
handling of disclosure that she conducted government business on personal
email, but that might change if she doesn't publicly address the issue, Sen.
Dianne Feinstein said.

Powell said Sunday he has retained none of the emails sent from his person
email account during his tenure at the department in the first George W. Bush
administration.
"I don't have any to turn over," he said on Sunday.
"I did not keep a cache of them. I did not print them off."
Powell added: "A lot of the emails that came out of my
personal account went into the State Department system. They were addressed to
State Department employees and the State.gov domain. But I don't know if the
servers (for) the State Department captured those or not."
Powell said all the emails from his account were unclassified and
most were "pretty benign, so I'm not terribly concerned even if they were
able to recover them."
Powell made his comments on ABC's "This Week."

January after he bought two rifles and 600 rounds of ammunition for a planned

The Ohio man is being held at the Boone County Jail
in Kentucky, and on Thursday he got in touch with WXIX reporter Tricia Macke
after calling the television station three times from his cell.
What Cornell said in the interview was so blunt and disturbing, his attorney tried to get a judge to prevent WXIX from airing the
interview — but the
court refused to suppress Cornell’s right to free speech.
“I got orders from the brothers overseas because
I’m with the Islamic State,” Cornell said in the interview, which aired Friday.
“My brothers over there, in Syria and Iraq, gave me specific orders to carry
out jihad in the west, so I did so.”
Cornell refused to say how he first got in contact
with Islamic State leaders but he readily predicted a future full of Islamic
State attack in the U.S.
“There will be many, many attacks,” he said. “Like
I said, we are ready for the battle over the Capitol.”
What would Cornell have done if he had not been
arrested on that day back in January as he purchased weapons?
“What would I have done? I would have took my gun,
I would have put it to Obama’s head and I would have pulled the trigger,” he
said. “Then I would have released more bullets on the Senate and the House of
Representative members, and I would have attacked the Israeli embassy and
various other buildings full of kafir [non-Muslims] who want to wage war
against us Muslims and shed our blood. That’s what would happen.”
He pinned the blame for his planned attack on the
U.S. and Israel.
“Yes, they might say I’m a terrorist, but we see
the American troops as terrorists as well, coming to our lands, invading,
stealing our resources and killing our people, raping our women,” said Cornell.
“Have you seen the photos and videos of the innocent children being killed,
bodies upon bodies, stacked inside the back of a truck? You know, that’s what’s
happening to our kids. America is funding and giving weapons to Israel. Israel
is using these weapons to kill our children in Palestine every single day.”
He also said the Islamic State has operatives in
every single U.S. state.
“We are pretty strong,” he said. “Yes, yes. In
every state like I said. We’re in Texas. We’re in Ohio. We’re in New York City.
We’re in Washington, DC. We’re in every single state you can name, just about.”
He told the interviewer to “stick around and watch”
for the future of jihad in America.
Hillary
Clinton's Email Problem
The press may finally have found the
chink in the seemingly impenetrable armor of Hillary Clinton.
It is now known that Clinton, during
her time as Secretary of State, used a private email address to send official
government communications, violating clear
cut rules from the State
Department that require all emails to be stored on official government servers.
The reason for this is simple: These types of communications are subject to
requests under the Freedom of Information Act, and without clear protocol for
preserving them, there is no way to guarantee that certain emails are not being
concealed from the public. Transparency is important, so that government
officials can be held accountable for their conduct in office. If emails can be
hidden on private servers or deleted, there is no effective check against
corruption at the highest levels of government.
Not that Hillary hasn’t navigated
scandals like this before, but this time there’s something different. In the
past, the press has always protected the Clintons from conservative attacks.
This time, the press is the victim, having been denied access to the
information they need to do their jobs. With the Associated Press itself now threatening
legal action, the media may
not be so sympathetic to Clinton as they have been in the past.
The story seems to have legs, with
more revelations emerging by the day. A team of hackers has identifiedmany
different email addresses on
the private server “clintonmail.com” that may have been used by Clinton and her
aides while she was serving as Secretary of State. How these addresses were
actually used remains unknown, but if it turns out that government information
was being passed through a series of cryptic addresses like
“hdr22@clintonmail.com,” it could spell major trouble for Hillary.
Politico is also reporting that the officials in the Obama White
House knew about Clinton’s misuse of a private email account as far back as
August, but deferred to the wishes of Clinton’s aides and decided not to
respond.
Speaking to an enthusiastic crowd at
Emily’s List, Clinton recently drew applause for her rhetorical
exultation, “Don’t you
someday want to see a woman president?”
I don’t know about you, but I someday

The man who painted the portrait, Pennsylvania artist Nelson
Shanks, has revealed the biggest secret brushed into the work — one that’s sure
to spark new discussions about Mr. Clinton just as his wife is reportedly on
the verge of announcing her candidacy for the job that Bill once held.
That secret is a shadowy reference to Monica Lewinsky, the White
House intern with whom President Clinton was sexually involved. As the Daily
News tells us:
When Clinton was not in the room, Shanks says he set up a
mannequin sporting a blue dress he likened to Lewinsky. Its casted shadow is depicted
on the Oval Office’s fireplace mantel that Clinton leans on as a metaphor of
the effect the affair had on both his administration and the former president,
Shanks explained.
The Lewinsky reference in the portrait is revealed in a lengthy
profile of the painter that appears in the Philadelphia Daily News.
Bucks County artist Nelson Shanks tells the Daily News reporter that Clinton
was “petrified” as he posed for the portrait.
With what Shanks has now revealed — and the likelihood that it
will revive dormant controversies about the Clinton marriage as well as the
president’s extra-marital sexual entanglements — it appears Mr. Clinton may
have had good reason to be nervous.
The artist, who has painted politicians, royalty, entertainers,
and notable world figures — including Princess Diana and Pope John Paul II —
describes Bill Clinton as “probably the most famous liar of all time.” He also
claims the Clintons hate the portrait.
“They want it removed from the National Portrait Gallery.
They’re putting a lot of pressure on them.”
The newspaper adds that a spokesperson for the National Portrait
Gallery denies that they’re feeling any heat from the Clintons.

President’s Veto, Keystone Pipeline Not Dead Yet As Big Obama Supporter Sounds

A prominent and powerful backer of Barack Obama says the
president was wrong to veto the bill authorizing construction of
the Keystone XL pipeline.
Billionaire investor and financial guru Warren Buffett tells
CNBC that Obama’s rejection of the oil pipeline is like thumbing his nose at
Canada. A report by the Financial Post notes that Buffett has expressed
support for the controversial pipeline in the past, but was especially emphatic
in his full-throated endorsement of the construction project in a CNBC
interview.
“I think that we have an enormous interest in working with
Canada, as they have in working with us. That oil is going to get sold. If we
make it more difficult for them, who knows how they’ll feel about making things
more difficult for us someday.”
A scathing analysis by Washington Post fact checker Glenn Kessler makes it
more difficult to buy Obama’s veto message concerning the Keystone project. The
headline on Kessler’s article reads: “Obama’s claim that Keystone XL oil
‘bypasses the U.S.’ earns Four Pinocchios.”
Essentially, that means that a central Obama excuse for
exercising the veto was grossly misleading.
“…Obama said Keystone was just for Canadian oil, and ‘we should
be focusing on American infrastructure for American jobs and American
producers.’ But actually, Keystone would help U.S. oil producers in North
Dakota and Montana.”
And in the Congress, the pipeline project still has legs, even
though they’re rather wobbly at the moment. According to The Hill, the Senate
will vote on Thursday to see if there’s enough backing for Keystone XL to
override Obama’s veto.
When the pipeline legislation was approved by the upper chamber
in February, nine Democrats joined with Republicans in supporting the
construction of the pipeline that would span the country from the Canadian
border to the Gulf of Mexico.
The Hill’s analysis indicates a veto override is unlikely, given
the current positions of those for and against.
“…supporters are likely to win more than the 60 votes needed to
overcome procedural hurdles, but they are unlikely to win the 67 votes
necessary to override the president’s veto. As of Friday, supporters appear to
have 63 votes.”

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) on Sunday claimed that
Hillary Clinton could have committed a crime if she knowingly withheld emails
from congressional investigators.
Appearing on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Issa noted
that “voluntary cooperation does not guarantee that it’s not a crime not to
deliver all” requested emails.
The former House Oversight Committee chairman
issued three subpoenas related to the 2012 Benghazi attacks, and acknowledged
the House Select Committee on Benghazi last week subpoenaed all of Clinton’s
emails during her tenure as secretary of State.
