Mezvinsky, born January 17, 1937.
Then you’ll probably say, “Who
is Ed Mezvinsky?”
Well, he is a former Democrat
congressman who represented Iowa's 1st congressional district in the United
States House of Representatives for two terms, from 1973 to 1977.
He sat on the House Judiciary
Committee that decided the fate of Richard Nixon.
He was outspoken saying that
Nixon was a crook and a disgrace to politics and the nation and should be
impeached.
He and the Clintons were
friends and very politically intertwined for many years.
Ed Mezvinsky had an affair
with NBC News reporter Marjorie Sue Margolies and later married her after his
wife divorced him.
In 1993, Marjorie
Margolies-Mezvinsky, then a freshman Democrat in Congress, cast the deciding
vote that got President Bill Clinton’s controversial tax package through the
House of Representatives.
In March 2001, Mezvinsky was
indicted and later pleaded guilty to 31 of 69 counts of bank fraud, mail fraud,
and wire fraud.
Ed Mezvinsky embezzled more
than $10 million dollars from people via both a Ponzi scheme and the notorious
Nigerian e-mail scams.
He was found guilty and
sentenced to 80 months in federal prison.
After serving less than five
years in federal prison, he was released in April 2008 and remains on federal
probation.
To this day, he still owes
$9.4 million in restitution to his victims.

There
is a troubling common thread that links Hillary Clinton’s former chief of staff
to the current special assistant to the National Security Council chief of
staff of the military’s Islamic chaplain program.
The thread is more radical than the Muslim
Brotherhood. It is the Muslim World League, a group accused of financing
al-Qaida fronts. The organization’s offshoots have been declared official
terrorist organizations by both the State Department and the United Nations.
Yet despite the troubling facts, Muslim
World League-linked individuals have been in key national security positions
and are currently helping to run the military’s chaplain program.
The case of Mehdi K. Alhassani, special
assistant to the Office of the Chief of Staff of the National Security Council,
drew attention last week in the blogosphere after former PLO operative Walid
Shoebat reported on Alhassani’s ties to Muslim Brotherhood-linked groups.
Alhassani’s
name emerged in an administration email made public last week as part of a
Judicial Watch lawsuit.
The email was sent three days after the Sept. 11, 2012, Benghazi attack
to Alhassani and other officials from Ben Rhodes, Obama’s deputy national
security adviser for strategic communication.

With Dems, WH in CYA mode, VA scandal potentially bigger than IRS,

The Veterans Administration scandal may drive this coming election cycle in ways no one has yet
anticipated.
Given the deep reverence for veterans that
exists in Americans of all political stripes and Democrats’ already-precarious
electoral position ahead of the 2014 midterm, the media’s best and brightest
seem to be concluding that this could tip the balance something fierce.
This CNN segment demonstrates the power of
this issue. When bureaucrats cause dozens of veterans to die, and the White
House goes into CYA mode, the issue is just too powerful for anyone to write it
off as a partisan witch hunt.
“The one that I think hurts the Democrats the most is not Benghazi, is
not IRS, is not Obamacare,” said veteran Ohio Democratic strategist Jerry
Austin. “It is the Veterans Administration. The idea of having wounded warriors
dying and all these terrible stories here, that is something that no one can
defend.”
…Longtime Republican strategist Rich Galen sees the same thing.
“Benghazi and IRS, those are things that have the coastal press rolling their
eyes,” he said. “But this VA thing is huge. If I were the Republican
Conference, I would give up everything else and just throw both feet into the
VA.”
As Austin suggested, Democrats are not rushing onto television to defend
either the VA or the administration’s handling of veteran claims. One of the
few senators willing to do so has been Bernie Sanders, the Vermont independent.
And it didn’t go particularly well for him when he was interviewed Thursday
morning on CNN’s New Day.

It’s an interesting contrast to watch the Left discuss Obamacare and Medicaid
expansion, arguing with a straight face that a lack of insurance will result in
X number of deaths, yet suddenly there’s a standard of reasonable doubt about
cases in which veterans were literally denied appointments until they died.
Finally, here’s an old clip of Sanders, proudly describing the VA as
“socialized medicine.” VA horror stories are actually nothing new, but the
current circumstance makes this speech a lot more interesting in retrospect.
Under socialized medicine, your life pretty much depends on unmotivated
bureaucrats. There is no further recourse and when things go wrong, you just
suffer unnecessarily or even die.

Llevo décadas diciendo que un intelectual honesto tiene un
compromiso con la sociedad: decir la verdad, luchar por el respeto a la
dignidad humana y no utilizar el privilegio de poder llegar a millones de
personas, para mentir, para escamotear la realidad histórica.
Este es uno de los más grandes crímenes y es el caso del
fallecido Gabriel García Márquez. Puso su pluma al servicio de la tiranía de
Fidel Castro apoyando las torturas. los crímenes, los campos de concentración.
Los fusilamientos.
Solía decir que el único país del continente americano que
respetaba los Derechos Humanos era Cuba.
Recuerdo que hace muchos años, rescaté al secretario
personal de García Márquez en Cuba, que estaba escondido en Colombia y buscado
por la Policía para devolverlo a la Habana. El actual Comisionado y entonces
alcalde Xavier Suarez me acompañó al aeropuerto a recibirlo.
Nos contó cómo era la vida del escritor colombiano en
Cuba. Vivía en una casa de protocolo con Blanquita, su amante adolescente, con
edad para ser su nieta. Vimos las fotos. Se movía en un Mercedes Benz blanco,
también regalo del dictador.
A cambio de eso defendía a ultranza la dictadura cubana y
a su amigo Fidel Castro mientras se rasgaba las vestiduras denunciando a
Pinochet.
Llegó a ser delator, informante de la Policía Política. Hace
muchos años, allá en la Habana el disidente y activista por los Derechos
Humanos Ricardo Bofill, logró que el entonces reportero de la agencia Reuters,
Collin McSevengy lo entrara a un hotel donde estaba García Márquez tomando unos
tragos. En un aparte, con absoluta discreción, Bofill entregó a García Márquez
una serie de documentos y denuncias de la situación de varios intelectuales en
Cuba…
Unas semanas más tarde cuando la Policía Política arrestó
a Ricardo Bofill (foto) alli, sobre la mesa del interrogador
estaba abierta la denuncia que él le había entregado a García Márquez.
El 13 de Octubre de 1968 el Diario ABC y el Diario 16 de
Madrid, España, publicaron la denuncia enviada por Bofill relatando estos
hechos y señalaban que: “La delación de García Márquez ha supuesto la
encarcelación de numerosos escritores y artistas cubanos” (Textual). La cortesana de Castro-
como lo llamó Vargas Llosa -y chivato de Castro agrego yo.
Algunos de sus amigos que lo defienden, han dicho que
intercedió por mi libertad. ABSOLUTAMENTE falso. Toda un falsedad. Tengo
suficiente honradez moral (que él no tenía) como para haberlo admitido si
hubiese sido cierto. Aquella versión fue una maniobra de sus amigotes, para
capitalizar en su favor, la simpatía internacional que produjo mi liberación.
Lo que hizo fue utilizar la entrega del Premio Nobel, para repetir las
acusaciones de Castro contra mí, lo cual motivó una carta recriminatoria del
Pen Club francés que me había adoptado como miembro de honor.
García Márquez si logró la libertad y salida de Cuba de un
prisionero político. Un chivato como él, y que delató a noventa y nueve
conspiradores. Era el líder del movimiento MRP el despreciable Reynold González
García Márquez apoyó las torturas, los fusilamientos, los
asesinatos de mis compañeros en las prisiones…si yo fuera un cristiano puro
tendría que decir: ¡que el SEÑOR lo reciba en sus brazos…! pero como no lo soy,
como no llego a ese nivel de perfección espiritual, deseo que se achicharre
eternamente en las pailas del Infierno.

Ben Carson Calls Out President Obama as “Unfit for
Office”
The
brilliant Dr. Ben Carson has written a scathing piece about the Obama administration’s failings for the National
Review Online. He titled it “Unfit for office.” So that should tell you a
little bit about the direction Dr. Carson was going to take article.
Dr.
Carson focused in on two scandals in particular: the Benghazi Scandal and the IRS Scandal. For Dr.
Carson both of these issues are emblematic of the problems inherent within the
Obama administration. Both scandals reveal the heart of the Obama Presidency
and its sinister underbelly.
The
Benghazi scandal.
Mistakes
were made – fine. We should want to figure out how and why these mistakes were
made and what we can do to correct them. That is not what the Obama
administration is doing.
This
should not be a partisan issue, because the implications of ignoring or
prevaricating about the underlying mistakes will have far-reaching
consequences…
Making
mistakes is part of being human, but the ever-increasing deception that is
necessary to cover those mistakes when honesty is abandoned is evil. Those
willing to ignore evil for political reasons should question their fitness for
leadership of our nation. In this case, a blatant falsehood was promoted —
namely that the Obama administration had international terrorist activity
directed at America under control and that the Benghazi incident was a
spontaneous action resulting from the outrage of locals who had viewed an
offensive anti-Islamic video. Undue
importance was placed on promoting an image of U.S. strength during the weeks
immediately preceding the presidential election of 2012.
Again, I
must emphasize that if we, the American people, the American press, and the
American political class, participate in the cover-up or ignore such an
important story, we contribute to the demise of honesty and truth as pillars of
our governing structure. In the book of Proverbs, King Solomon put it this way:

Liberty. Silly me! I thought free speech was legal in America. I
thought this was a republic with a Constitution guaranteeing our right to
express ourselves? I didn’t know speaking your mind or expressing your opinions
could result in the end of your career or the confiscation of your property.
Don’t
look now, but it’s happening — if
you’re a conservative.
It’s time
to start getting nervous about expressing your views publicly — if you’re a conservative.
It’s time
to worry about bans and witch hunts – if
you’re a conservative.
What’s
next? Re-education camps, where our fellow citizens are taken away to be
brainwashed into changing their views or attitude? Don’t laugh; it’s already
happening (see below).
Let me
give a few examples of political correctness run amok. Interestingly, in each
case I personally disagree with the views expressed, but vehemently disagree
with the actions taken against those who expressed the views.
Let’s
start with Michael Sam. On Saturday, he became the first openly gay player
drafted into the NFL. I say congratulations. I’m happy for Sam and personally
thought he should have been drafted higher.
But have
we traded one prejudice and civil rights violation for another? Many Americans
were offended by Sam’s publicly caressing and kissing his boyfriend on national
TV after his selection. If it’s called “progress” and a sign of “freedom” that
two men can openly kiss on national TV, what is it called when someone offended
by that same kiss is fined and suspended from his job? Is that progress? Is that
free speech?
Ask Miami
Dolphins safety Don Jones. He tweeted that he was disgusted and offended
by the kiss. Jones was
immediately fined and barred from team activities until he finishes “training
for his recent comments made on social media.” Training? You mean like a
“re-education camp?” You mean the NFL now believes it has the right to
“train” its employees how to feel and think? Who determines which thinking is accepted?
Jones’
comments undoubtedly hurt Sam’s feelings and were offensive to gays. But that’s
not the issue. We are allowed to be as “politically incorrect” as we want in
America. We are protected by that silly little thing called the U.S.
Constitution. Just because you disagree with someone’s opinion, does your
employer have the right to suspend you from your job? Fine you? Can that same
employer demand “thought training” to get your job back? This was tried
with the Vietnamese “re-education camps.” Millions of people were imprisoned.
More than 165,000 people died of abuse, starvation and torture.
This is a
football team. Whether you are gay or straight should not matter. But neither
should your views on two men kissing. All that should matter is how well you
tackle in the open field.
I may not
agree with what Jones said publicly, but I think the Miami Dolphins and the NFL
should be sued for $100 million dollars for violation of the employee rights of
Jones. He has every right to believe and say what he wants. Where is the public
outrage? Where is the American Civil Liberties Union?
You are
allowed to express your opinions in America, even if others find them heinous.
Didn’t the ACLU defend the rights of a neo-Nazi group to march in Skokie,
Ill. (a city with a large number of Jewish Holocaust
survivors)? But in this case, all an NFL player did was say he was grossed
out by two guys kissing. He wasn’t marching with Nazis. Yet the ACLU is
surprisingly silent. Have the “thought police” successfully squashed dissent in
this country?
If we
allow employers like the Dolphins to censure, fine, suspend or fire a player
for his thoughts or his political or religious beliefs, have we made progress?
Or have we just switched sides? A different group is now in the closet. A
different group is running the witch hunt.
It’s happening
across America. Free speech is no longer tolerated by the left. Take the case
of Ayaan Hirsi Ali. She was
supposed to receive an honorary degree from Brandeis University as a courageous
campaigner for women’s rights. But her honorary degree was canceled because of
student protests.
What were
her critics angry about? She is a fierce critic of radical Islam and the way
women are treated (and mistreated) in Muslim societies. So in response to her
pointing out that dissent is suppressed in Muslim societies, her free speech
was suppressed at Brandeis University.
Even CEOs
of a private business are under attack. Mozilla CEO Brendan Eich recently lost his job for making a donation to support
Prop 8, the ballot initiative that barred same-sex marriage in California.
Once
again, I happen to disagree with the opinion of this CEO. I personally think
government should stay out of our boardrooms and bedrooms. I don’t believe government
should be involved in “allowing” or not allowing marriage. It’s a personal and
religious issue. But the issue here isn’t gay marriage, it’s freedom of speech.
Should a CEO in America be fired for his personal belief that marriage is
between a man and a woman? Worse, he wasn’t fired for leading the battle, but
rather just for writing a check to a cause he believed in.
This isn’t
supposed to happen in America. Where is the public outrage? Where is the
ACLU? Is the free speech of a NFL player, or conservative CEO or
courageous women’s rights crusader worth less than the free speech of a
neo-Nazi group?
I think
it’s great that being gay is now openly accepted in America. But does that mean
that others should now be forced into the closet? Is that progress? Or is that
trading one civil rights violation for another?
For the
first time, I’m rooting for the ACLU to take a stand. If not, soon in Barack
Obama’s America, Christians who oppose gay marriage or abortion will be forced
to the back of the bus. CEOs will be forced out of their jobs for publicly
opposing minimum wage increases. We’ll see signs openly displayed at
businesses: “Republicans need not apply.”
Someday,
the entire college education system will be taken over by radical leftists who
refuse to hire a conservative educator or who ban conservative speakers at
college graduation ceremonies. Oops! That’s already happened.
Where’s

An event
slated for Friday that promised to bring millions of Americans to Washington,
D.C. to oust President Barack Obama and other key leaders from office failed
incredibly.
Instead,
“Operation American Spring” welcomed only a few dozen protesters — not the
millions projected by event organizers — who braved the morning’s stormy
weather to hit the streets of the nation’s capital and call for a change of
leadership in key roles.
“We were
getting over two inches of rain in hour in parts of Virginia this morning,” he
added. “Now it’s a nice sunny day. But this is a very poor turnout. It ain’t no
millions. And it ain’t looking like there’s going to be millions. Hundreds is
more like it.”
According to the event’s Facebook page, Operation American Spring aimed to “restore the
balance of our Bill of Rights and the Constitution,” in part by replacing “a
handful of the worst Republican and Democrat” holders of office.
Among the
politicians specifically targeted were Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, House
Speaker John Boehner, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, and House Minority
Leader Nancy Pelosi. It was not clear how participants were planning to force
them out of office.
On Facebook,
event organizers said the operation could last for some time and gave
participants a glimpse at what they said they could expect.
“Will this be
a cake-walk? No, it will be painful, and some people may die because the
government will not be non-violent; some of us will end up in a cell, and some
may be injured,” organizers warned. “If that’s what it will take to save our
nation, do we have any choice?”
The group has
not posted to Facebook, following the dismal turnout. However, some
participants told media outlets that more people are on the way.

He is Edward "Ed"
Mezvinsky, born January 17, 1937.
Then you’ll probably say, “Who
is Ed Mezvinsky?”
Well, he is a former Democrat
congressman who represented Iowa's 1st congressional district in the United
States House of Representatives for two terms, from 1973 to 1977.
He sat on the House Judiciary
Committee that decided the fate of Richard Nixon.
He was outspoken saying that
Nixon was a crook and a disgrace to politics and the nation and should be
impeached.
He and the Clintons were
friends and very politically intertwined for many years.
Ed Mezvinsky had an affair
with NBC News reporter Marjorie Sue Margolies and later married her after his
wife divorced him.
In 1993, Marjorie
Margolies-Mezvinsky, then a freshman Democrat in Congress, cast the deciding
vote that got President Bill Clinton’s controversial tax package through the
House of Representatives.
In March 2001, Mezvinsky was
indicted and later pleaded guilty to 31 of 69 counts of bank fraud, mail fraud,
and wire fraud.
Ed Mezvinsky embezzled more
than $10 million dollars from people via both a Ponzi scheme and the notorious
Nigerian e-mail scams.
He was found guilty and
sentenced to 80 months in federal prison.
After serving less than five
years in federal prison, he was released in April 2008 and remains on federal
probation.
To this day, he still owes
$9.4 million in restitution to his victims.

There
is a troubling common thread that links Hillary Clinton’s former chief of staff
to the current special assistant to the National Security Council chief of
staff of the military’s Islamic chaplain program.
The thread is more radical than the Muslim
Brotherhood. It is the Muslim World League, a group accused of financing
al-Qaida fronts. The organization’s offshoots have been declared official
terrorist organizations by both the State Department and the United Nations.
Yet despite the troubling facts, Muslim
World League-linked individuals have been in key national security positions
and are currently helping to run the military’s chaplain program.
The case of Mehdi K. Alhassani, special
assistant to the Office of the Chief of Staff of the National Security Council,
drew attention last week in the blogosphere after former PLO operative Walid
Shoebat reported on Alhassani’s ties to Muslim Brotherhood-linked groups.
Alhassani’s
name emerged in an administration email made public last week as part of a
Judicial Watch lawsuit.
The email was sent three days after the Sept. 11, 2012, Benghazi attack
to Alhassani and other officials from Ben Rhodes, Obama’s deputy national
security adviser for strategic communication.

With Dems, WH in CYA mode, VA scandal potentially bigger than IRS,

The Veterans Administration scandal may drive this coming election cycle in ways no one has yet
anticipated.
Given the deep reverence for veterans that
exists in Americans of all political stripes and Democrats’ already-precarious
electoral position ahead of the 2014 midterm, the media’s best and brightest
seem to be concluding that this could tip the balance something fierce.
This CNN segment demonstrates the power of
this issue. When bureaucrats cause dozens of veterans to die, and the White
House goes into CYA mode, the issue is just too powerful for anyone to write it
off as a partisan witch hunt.
“The one that I think hurts the Democrats the most is not Benghazi, is
not IRS, is not Obamacare,” said veteran Ohio Democratic strategist Jerry
Austin. “It is the Veterans Administration. The idea of having wounded warriors
dying and all these terrible stories here, that is something that no one can
defend.”
…Longtime Republican strategist Rich Galen sees the same thing.
“Benghazi and IRS, those are things that have the coastal press rolling their
eyes,” he said. “But this VA thing is huge. If I were the Republican
Conference, I would give up everything else and just throw both feet into the
VA.”
As Austin suggested, Democrats are not rushing onto television to defend
either the VA or the administration’s handling of veteran claims. One of the
few senators willing to do so has been Bernie Sanders, the Vermont independent.
And it didn’t go particularly well for him when he was interviewed Thursday
morning on CNN’s New Day.

It’s an interesting contrast to watch the Left discuss Obamacare and Medicaid
expansion, arguing with a straight face that a lack of insurance will result in
X number of deaths, yet suddenly there’s a standard of reasonable doubt about
cases in which veterans were literally denied appointments until they died.
Finally, here’s an old clip of Sanders, proudly describing the VA as
“socialized medicine.” VA horror stories are actually nothing new, but the
current circumstance makes this speech a lot more interesting in retrospect.
Under socialized medicine, your life pretty much depends on unmotivated
bureaucrats. There is no further recourse and when things go wrong, you just
suffer unnecessarily or even die.

compromiso con la sociedad: decir la verdad, luchar por el respeto a la
dignidad humana y no utilizar el privilegio de poder llegar a millones de
personas, para mentir, para escamotear la realidad histórica.
Este es uno de los más grandes crímenes y es el caso del
fallecido Gabriel García Márquez. Puso su pluma al servicio de la tiranía de
Fidel Castro apoyando las torturas. los crímenes, los campos de concentración.
Los fusilamientos.
Solía decir que el único país del continente americano que
respetaba los Derechos Humanos era Cuba.
Recuerdo que hace muchos años, rescaté al secretario
personal de García Márquez en Cuba, que estaba escondido en Colombia y buscado
por la Policía para devolverlo a la Habana. El actual Comisionado y entonces
alcalde Xavier Suarez me acompañó al aeropuerto a recibirlo.
Nos contó cómo era la vida del escritor colombiano en
Cuba. Vivía en una casa de protocolo con Blanquita, su amante adolescente, con
edad para ser su nieta. Vimos las fotos. Se movía en un Mercedes Benz blanco,
también regalo del dictador.
A cambio de eso defendía a ultranza la dictadura cubana y
a su amigo Fidel Castro mientras se rasgaba las vestiduras denunciando a
Pinochet.
Llegó a ser delator, informante de la Policía Política. Hace
muchos años, allá en la Habana el disidente y activista por los Derechos
Humanos Ricardo Bofill, logró que el entonces reportero de la agencia Reuters,
Collin McSevengy lo entrara a un hotel donde estaba García Márquez tomando unos
tragos. En un aparte, con absoluta discreción, Bofill entregó a García Márquez
una serie de documentos y denuncias de la situación de varios intelectuales en
Cuba…
Unas semanas más tarde cuando la Policía Política arrestó
a Ricardo Bofill (foto) alli, sobre la mesa del interrogador
estaba abierta la denuncia que él le había entregado a García Márquez.
El 13 de Octubre de 1968 el Diario ABC y el Diario 16 de
Madrid, España, publicaron la denuncia enviada por Bofill relatando estos
hechos y señalaban que: “La delación de García Márquez ha supuesto la
encarcelación de numerosos escritores y artistas cubanos” (Textual). La cortesana de Castro-
como lo llamó Vargas Llosa -y chivato de Castro agrego yo.
Algunos de sus amigos que lo defienden, han dicho que
intercedió por mi libertad. ABSOLUTAMENTE falso. Toda un falsedad. Tengo
suficiente honradez moral (que él no tenía) como para haberlo admitido si
hubiese sido cierto. Aquella versión fue una maniobra de sus amigotes, para
capitalizar en su favor, la simpatía internacional que produjo mi liberación.
Lo que hizo fue utilizar la entrega del Premio Nobel, para repetir las
acusaciones de Castro contra mí, lo cual motivó una carta recriminatoria del
Pen Club francés que me había adoptado como miembro de honor.
García Márquez si logró la libertad y salida de Cuba de un
prisionero político. Un chivato como él, y que delató a noventa y nueve
conspiradores. Era el líder del movimiento MRP el despreciable Reynold González
García Márquez apoyó las torturas, los fusilamientos, los
asesinatos de mis compañeros en las prisiones…si yo fuera un cristiano puro
tendría que decir: ¡que el SEÑOR lo reciba en sus brazos…! pero como no lo soy,
como no llego a ese nivel de perfección espiritual, deseo que se achicharre
eternamente en las pailas del Infierno.

Ben Carson Calls Out President Obama as “Unfit for
Office”
The
brilliant Dr. Ben Carson has written a scathing piece about the Obama administration’s failings for the National
Review Online. He titled it “Unfit for office.” So that should tell you a
little bit about the direction Dr. Carson was going to take article.
Dr.
Carson focused in on two scandals in particular: the Benghazi Scandal and the IRS Scandal. For Dr.
Carson both of these issues are emblematic of the problems inherent within the
Obama administration. Both scandals reveal the heart of the Obama Presidency
and its sinister underbelly.
The
Benghazi scandal.
Mistakes
were made – fine. We should want to figure out how and why these mistakes were
made and what we can do to correct them. That is not what the Obama
administration is doing.
This
should not be a partisan issue, because the implications of ignoring or
prevaricating about the underlying mistakes will have far-reaching
consequences…
Making
mistakes is part of being human, but the ever-increasing deception that is
necessary to cover those mistakes when honesty is abandoned is evil. Those
willing to ignore evil for political reasons should question their fitness for
leadership of our nation. In this case, a blatant falsehood was promoted —
namely that the Obama administration had international terrorist activity
directed at America under control and that the Benghazi incident was a
spontaneous action resulting from the outrage of locals who had viewed an
offensive anti-Islamic video. Undue
importance was placed on promoting an image of U.S. strength during the weeks
immediately preceding the presidential election of 2012.
Again, I
must emphasize that if we, the American people, the American press, and the
American political class, participate in the cover-up or ignore such an
important story, we contribute to the demise of honesty and truth as pillars of
our governing structure. In the book of Proverbs, King Solomon put it this way:

personas murieron de abuso, del hambre y la tortura.

Creo que es genial que ser gay es ahora abiertamente

Will Conservatives Soon Be Sent To Re-Education Camps?
Hello I’m
Wayne Allyn Root for Personal
Liberty. Silly me! I thought free speech was legal in America. I
thought this was a republic with a Constitution guaranteeing our right to
express ourselves? I didn’t know speaking your mind or expressing your opinions
could result in the end of your career or the confiscation of your property.
Don’t
look now, but it’s happening — if
you’re a conservative.
It’s time
to start getting nervous about expressing your views publicly — if you’re a conservative.
It’s time
to worry about bans and witch hunts – if
you’re a conservative.
What’s
next? Re-education camps, where our fellow citizens are taken away to be
brainwashed into changing their views or attitude? Don’t laugh; it’s already
happening (see below).
Let me
give a few examples of political correctness run amok. Interestingly, in each
case I personally disagree with the views expressed, but vehemently disagree
with the actions taken against those who expressed the views.
Let’s
start with Michael Sam. On Saturday, he became the first openly gay player
drafted into the NFL. I say congratulations. I’m happy for Sam and personally
thought he should have been drafted higher.
But have
we traded one prejudice and civil rights violation for another? Many Americans
were offended by Sam’s publicly caressing and kissing his boyfriend on national
TV after his selection. If it’s called “progress” and a sign of “freedom” that
two men can openly kiss on national TV, what is it called when someone offended
by that same kiss is fined and suspended from his job? Is that progress? Is that
free speech?
Ask Miami
Dolphins safety Don Jones. He tweeted that he was disgusted and offended
by the kiss. Jones was
immediately fined and barred from team activities until he finishes “training
for his recent comments made on social media.” Training? You mean like a
“re-education camp?” You mean the NFL now believes it has the right to
“train” its employees how to feel and think? Who determines which thinking is accepted?
Jones’
comments undoubtedly hurt Sam’s feelings and were offensive to gays. But that’s
not the issue. We are allowed to be as “politically incorrect” as we want in
America. We are protected by that silly little thing called the U.S.
Constitution. Just because you disagree with someone’s opinion, does your
employer have the right to suspend you from your job? Fine you? Can that same
employer demand “thought training” to get your job back? This was tried
with the Vietnamese “re-education camps.” Millions of people were imprisoned.
More than 165,000 people died of abuse, starvation and torture.
This is a
football team. Whether you are gay or straight should not matter. But neither
should your views on two men kissing. All that should matter is how well you
tackle in the open field.
I may not
agree with what Jones said publicly, but I think the Miami Dolphins and the NFL
should be sued for $100 million dollars for violation of the employee rights of
Jones. He has every right to believe and say what he wants. Where is the public
outrage? Where is the American Civil Liberties Union?
You are
allowed to express your opinions in America, even if others find them heinous.
Didn’t the ACLU defend the rights of a neo-Nazi group to march in Skokie,
Ill. (a city with a large number of Jewish Holocaust
survivors)? But in this case, all an NFL player did was say he was grossed
out by two guys kissing. He wasn’t marching with Nazis. Yet the ACLU is
surprisingly silent. Have the “thought police” successfully squashed dissent in
this country?
If we
allow employers like the Dolphins to censure, fine, suspend or fire a player
for his thoughts or his political or religious beliefs, have we made progress?
Or have we just switched sides? A different group is now in the closet. A
different group is running the witch hunt.
It’s happening
across America. Free speech is no longer tolerated by the left. Take the case
of Ayaan Hirsi Ali. She was
supposed to receive an honorary degree from Brandeis University as a courageous
campaigner for women’s rights. But her honorary degree was canceled because of
student protests.
What were
her critics angry about? She is a fierce critic of radical Islam and the way
women are treated (and mistreated) in Muslim societies. So in response to her
pointing out that dissent is suppressed in Muslim societies, her free speech
was suppressed at Brandeis University.
Even CEOs
of a private business are under attack. Mozilla CEO Brendan Eich recently lost his job for making a donation to support
Prop 8, the ballot initiative that barred same-sex marriage in California.
Once
again, I happen to disagree with the opinion of this CEO. I personally think
government should stay out of our boardrooms and bedrooms. I don’t believe government
should be involved in “allowing” or not allowing marriage. It’s a personal and
religious issue. But the issue here isn’t gay marriage, it’s freedom of speech.
Should a CEO in America be fired for his personal belief that marriage is
between a man and a woman? Worse, he wasn’t fired for leading the battle, but
rather just for writing a check to a cause he believed in.
This isn’t
supposed to happen in America. Where is the public outrage? Where is the
ACLU? Is the free speech of a NFL player, or conservative CEO or
courageous women’s rights crusader worth less than the free speech of a
neo-Nazi group?
I think
it’s great that being gay is now openly accepted in America. But does that mean
that others should now be forced into the closet? Is that progress? Or is that
trading one civil rights violation for another?
For the
first time, I’m rooting for the ACLU to take a stand. If not, soon in Barack
Obama’s America, Christians who oppose gay marriage or abortion will be forced
to the back of the bus. CEOs will be forced out of their jobs for publicly
opposing minimum wage increases. We’ll see signs openly displayed at
businesses: “Republicans need not apply.”
Someday,
the entire college education system will be taken over by radical leftists who
refuse to hire a conservative educator or who ban conservative speakers at
college graduation ceremonies. Oops! That’s already happened.
Where’s
Alan Dershowitz when you need him?

An event
slated for Friday that promised to bring millions of Americans to Washington,
D.C. to oust President Barack Obama and other key leaders from office failed
incredibly.
Instead,
“Operation American Spring” welcomed only a few dozen protesters — not the
millions projected by event organizers — who braved the morning’s stormy
weather to hit the streets of the nation’s capital and call for a change of
leadership in key roles.
“We were
getting over two inches of rain in hour in parts of Virginia this morning,” he
added. “Now it’s a nice sunny day. But this is a very poor turnout. It ain’t no
millions. And it ain’t looking like there’s going to be millions. Hundreds is
more like it.”
According to the event’s Facebook page, Operation American Spring aimed to “restore the
balance of our Bill of Rights and the Constitution,” in part by replacing “a
handful of the worst Republican and Democrat” holders of office.
Among the
politicians specifically targeted were Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, House
Speaker John Boehner, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, and House Minority
Leader Nancy Pelosi. It was not clear how participants were planning to force
them out of office.
On Facebook,
event organizers said the operation could last for some time and gave
participants a glimpse at what they said they could expect.
“Will this be
a cake-walk? No, it will be painful, and some people may die because the
government will not be non-violent; some of us will end up in a cell, and some
may be injured,” organizers warned. “If that’s what it will take to save our
nation, do we have any choice?”
The group has
not posted to Facebook, following the dismal turnout. However, some
participants told media outlets that more people are on the way.
