As I noted in yesterday’s e-mail, after over 18 months of sustained pressure on federal legislators by you and our other 280,000 grassroots activists – including thousands of office visits, phone calls and e-mails to members of the U.S. Congress – ACT helped get over 182 congressmen (over 80 percent of House Republicans) to co-sponsor Rep. Frank Wolf’s bill creating a Benghazi special Committee.
Due in part to this immense pressure, last Friday House Speaker Boehner announced that he will convene a special Benghazi committee. Yesterday he appointed Congressman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) as its Chair.
Shortly after the Speaker’s announcement last Friday, Congressman Wolf issued the following public statement:

Benghazi Gun Running Is The Real Scandal
This author is a Pulitzer Prize winner and
uncovered scandals in Vietnam and Abu Ghraib. Some people brush him off as a
conspiracy theorist and the New Yorker and the Washington Post wouldn’t run
this story but I am having trouble understanding why FoxNews wouldn’t run with
it. I believe this gets to the heart of Benghazi rather than the nonsense about the talking
points. The talking points are a sideshow. This is what the cover up is about! Gun running to Syria and I have been saying it
from the start!

In 2011 Barack Obama led an allied military intervention in
Libya without consulting the US Congress. Last August, after the sarin attack on the
Damascus suburb of Ghouta, he was ready to launch an allied air strike, this
time to punish the Syrian government for allegedly crossing the ‘red line’ he
had set in 2012 on the use of chemical weapons.＊ Then
with less than two days to go before the planned strike, he announced that he
would seek congressional approval for the intervention. The strike was
postponed as Congress prepared for hearings, and subsequently cancelled when
Obama accepted Assad’s offer to relinquish his chemical arsenal in a deal
brokered by Russia. Why did Obama delay and then relent on Syria when he was
not shy about rushing into Libya? The answer lies in a clash between those in
the administration who were committed to enforcing the red line, and military
leaders who thought that going to war was both unjustified and potentially
disastrous.

Siempre supe, sin leerlo en una bola de cristal, que
la legalización de la mariguana no era para uso medicinal.
Si fuera para uso medicinal se hubiera procesado en
laboratorios establecidos como se hace con otras drogas como la morfina o la
codeína.
La mariguana es para el relajo, para crear la
desmoralización de la sociedad, este es el sistema comunista.
Cuando Marx dijo que la religión era el opio de
los pueblos, realmente él sabía que el verdadero opio era lo que mantenía a los
pueblos opiados para poderlos controlar mejor, que la religión no era un opio
pero un enemigo peligroso para el ateísmo materialista.
Las noticias que nos llegan de Denver, Colorado, en
los primeros meses después de que este estado legalizara la industria de
la mariguana por primera vez en los Estados Unidos, para uso médico y recreativo,
se han visto un aumento en las explosiones y lesiones de fuego ya que los
usuarios de marihuana tratan de hacer aceite embriagador de la droga en los
laboratorios en el hogar..
Desde el 1 de enero, cuando comenzaron las ventas , el
centro de quemados para adultos del estado ha tratado a 10 personas con heridas
graves que sufrieron al tiempo que quemaban el aceite de hachís..
Los oficiales de policía y de bomberos y jueces ,
por su parte , están lidiando con la manera de responder a las llamadas de
fuego , ya que la dudosa legalidad del proceso ha hecho que sea difícil para
castigar a los químicos aficionados. Algunos fiscales dicen que son delitos
graves , mientras que otros dicen que la producción de aceite de hash está
protegido por una disposición de la nueva ley mariguana legal.
El aceite de hachís se hace normalmente por el
embalaje de las hojas desechadas y tallos de plantas de marihuana en una pipa y
verter butano altamente inflamables a través de él . La mezcla se calienta para
hacer el aceite potente para mucho más barato que se puede comprar en las
tiendas.
Sin una ventilación adecuada , los gases butano pueden
demorarse . Todo lo que necesita es una chispa de electricidad estática para
encender la candela en una habitación.
En los últimos años , se han producido decenas de
explosiones y lesiones en otros estados donde los residentes pueden obtener
acceso a la planta a través de los sistemas de marihuana medicinal , incluyendo
California , el estado de Washington y Oregón.
Leyes sobre la marihuana de Colorado permiten a los
adultos mayores de 21 años para crecer hasta seis plantas en casa y
restaurantes a menudo utilizan sus propias plantas para hacer asequible el
aceite de hachís en sus cocinas.
Como resultado , las explosiones han ocurrido principalmente
en la propiedad privada .
Pero esto es sólo el principio, cuando esto se

impuestos por el 60% de los ingresos y que se supone que los
servicios sociales evitan la miseria y la mendicidad..
Ámsterdam es la vitrina del ensayo de la droga, pero
no importa lo transparente del cristal de la vitrina, el que no quiere mirar,
no puede ver.
Y pronto veremos como en Ámsterdam los "Coffee
Shop" donde pueden comprar "Muffins de Hachi" de chocolate o
vainilla, donde pueden coger un tono con un sabor dulce.
Entonces no habrá más preocupaciones, no hay que
trabajar para vivir, sólo vivir para disfrutar y que... !Viva la
Pepa1 Quizás mientras están entretenidos cambian la constitución y
re-eligen a Obama por cuatro años más.
Pero no hay que ser un Profeta ni un espiritista ni
tener una Ouija para saber lo que le va a pasar a este país.

WASHINGTON — The United States trade deficit narrowed in March as exports
rebounded to the second-highest level on record, led by strong gains in sales
of aircraft, autos and farm goods.
Senate Moves to Debate Energy Savings
Bill, Keystone Bid Stalls
The U.S. Senate agreed on Tuesday to begin
debate on a bipartisan energy efficiency bill, but seems unlikely to pass it
unless lawmakers agree on how to proceed with the long-delayed Keystone XL oil
pipeline project.
The Senate voted 79 to 20 to advance the legislation,
the first big energy bill to reach the Senate floor since 2007.
Offered by Democrat Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire
and Republican Rob Portman of Ohio, the White House-backed bill would save
energy through tougher building codes and by making federal government offices
install new technologies.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Nevada Democrat
has offered to hold a vote on a separate bill to provide Congressional approval
of Keystone if Republicans allow passage of the energy measure, a version of
which has already passed the House of Representatives.
But Republicans want to add several amendments to the
energy bill, including one that would take decision on TransCanada's Corp's
Keystone pipeline out of President Barack Obama's hands and give it to
Congress.
The State Department recently delayed a decision on
Keystone, likely until after the November congressional elections.
As of mid-day Tuesday lawmakers had not yet found
common ground, and it was unclear if they would. The stalemate could end up
killing the energy bill and preventing a vote on Keystone as well.
A Senate Republican aide said it was increasingly
looking as if talks to get a vote on Keystone had stalled.
The aide said that Republicans have concluded that the
main benefit of a Senate vote on Keystone would be to boost the re-election
campaign of Democratic Senator Mary Landrieu of Louisiana.
Landrieu has long called on the Obama administration
to approve Keystone. Some Republicans fear that such a vote in the Senate could
support her central campaign theme of being an effective senator.
The pipeline would bring more than 800,000 barrels per
day from Canada's oil sands to refineries in Texas.
Environmentalists oppose Keystone because they say it
would lead to more spills and emissions linked to climate change. Backers say
it would strengthen North American energy security and create thousands of
construction jobs.
Even if Congress passes legislation to approve
Keystone, Obama could veto the measure, and likely would have the votes to
sustain a veto.
Other amendments that Republicans want to offer
include one to block new emission standards for coal-powered plants, to allow
export of liquefied natural gas, and prevent imposition of a federal tax on
carbon pollution.
Shaheen said her bill would save consumers and businesses
$16 billion a year in energy use and create jobs. The bill has wide support
from environmental groups and business groups.
"The time is now for the Senate to pass this
bill," Shaheen said on the Senate floor. "We can't let extraneous
debate on amendments to get in the way of getting this legislation done."

Podesta to Congress: Barack Obama Can Unilaterally Destroy Economy & You
Can't Stop Him
If
there was ever a point when the drama that is freedom struggling to survive the
Obama White House produced a moment when the villain laughs over his victims
and does a monologue on how powerful he is, and how impotent they are, this
story in Politico is about that moment:
White
House counselor John Podesta said congressional attempts to trump EPA’s climate
rules will fail.
“They’ll
find various ways, particularly in the House, to try to stop us from using the
authority we have under the Clean Air Act,” Podesta said at Monday’s White
House press briefing.
“All I
would say is that those have zero percent chance of working,” he said. “We’re
committed to moving forward with those rules.”
Senate
Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and some other Senate Republicans want
to offer an amendment to bipartisan energy efficiency legislation this week
that would undermine EPA’s proposed greenhouse gas rule for future power
plants.
So,
unless Podesta is completely wrong, the best we can hope for is that the GOP
gets both House and Senate in 2014 and is able to push back. But without a
veto-proof majority, I’m not sure how Congress can really pass any law that
will halt
the President’s pen and phone.
But
notice how this is all based on insane tyranny. The laws about the environment
(you can call them “regulations” all you want but they are obviously laws) come from an unelected
bureaucracy—the Environmental Protection Agency. Does the Constitution
establish the E.P.A. to make laws? No it does not. It refers to the House and
Senate as the sole legislative body. So how does the E.P.A. get this authority?
The answer is that Congress passed the Clean Air Act and “authorized” the
bureaucracy to posses and use such powers.
So
how is that supposed to work Constitutionally? Can Congress pass a law that
authorizes a person as a dictator for life to unilaterally make all future
laws? If that would not be Constitutional, how can the Clean Air Act appoint
the E.P.A. as a law-making body?

An hour before markets opened on
Monday, Bank of America (BAC) disclosed that the
quarterly financials it released on April 16 were not quite right.
Bank of America’s bookkeepers, who really ought to
know better, somehow lost
track of about $2.7 billion in a maze of accounting. The missing money originated in
derivative contracts it acquired in the course of buying Merrill Lynch back
in 2009.
Modern bank accounting is hideously
complicated in the best of circumstances. This is
by design.
If it were simple, the banks couldn’t hide the fact
that theycreate
money from thin air and make
promises they can’t keep.

Before you rush to pull your money from Bank of
America, please note that my headline is intended only to point out the seriousness
of this. To my knowledge, your money may be as safe at BAC as any
other bank in our fractional reserve system. We can all withdraw our
savings on demand — unless too many of us try it at once. I may do it with my
own Bank of America accounts this week.
This story is really about institutional
incompetence. Last month the Federal Reserve triumphantly announced
Bank of America and most other big banks had passed its tough new “stress
test.”
I wrote at the time that banks had actually passed
the wrong stress test. Citigroupand four others could not
pass even when graded on a curve and were roundly criticized for it.
We all thought that Bank of America had passed. Bank
of America itself thought it had passed, too, and on April
16 announced a stock buyback program and increased dividend. Today it
canceled both.
The Federal
Reserve’s press release tries
to sound tough, but the Fed thought BAC passed the stress test, too. Its
examiners obviously failed to examine Bank of America thoroughly.
Between Citi and now Bank of America, the last month
revealed two major
U.S. banks could not meet even the most minimal capital standards. In both cases, bank management and
directors were blissfully unaware of their own instability until outsiders
explained it to them.

Bundy Update: If This Politician Has His Way, The Feds
Could Start Taking Out The Militia
"Get rid of these
armed separatists."
Along
with Nevada Sen. Harry Reid, state Rep. Steven Horsford has been a constant voice of opposition against those who came to
his state to support Cliven Bundy against federal agents they believed were
using excessive force. Despite a dearth of evidence to back up his claim,
Horsford has publicly stated that militia members in the Bunkerville area have
established armed checkpoints and are routinely harassing local citizens.
His
latest call to rid the area of these protesters came this past weekend during
comments he made at an event in a neighboring town.
According
to his account, an
unidentified fifth grader told him Bundy suffers from a “sense of entitlement,”
which apparently prompted Horsford to once again protest the presence of armed
militiamen in his district.
“And
that is why I am calling on [Gov.] Brian Sandoval, Sen. Dean Heller, the
sheriff and any other elected official in Nevada to do their part to get rid of
these armed separatists.”
Despite
the fact that Nevada law allows individuals to carry firearms, Horsford wants
local law enforcement to force these concerned citizens out of the community.
Furthermore, he has called for a federal investigation into the activities of
the remaining protesters.
Both
Sandoval and Heller are Republicans who have, to varying degrees, spoken out
against the invasion of federal Bureau of Land Management agents last month in
Clark County.
Heller
has been more supportive of Bundy and his supporters, however, describing
protesters as “patriots.”
Sheriff
Doug Gillespie did not immediately comment on the latest demand made by
Horsford. For his part, Sandoval offered a measured response to a question
regarding whether Gillespie is planning to use force in removing the
protesters.
“No,”
he said, “and even if he had said that, I wouldn’t share that with you; because
certainly that’s a conversation between the two of us.”
Late
last week, a post on the Bundy Ranch Facebook page indicated the family was
calling on protesters to join them in filing a criminal complaint against the
BLM. A lengthy post published Friday offered a transcription of a statement
delivered by Ammon Bundy at the Clark County Sheriff’s Office earlier that day.

legitimate grievances. I have called for the release of detained
protesters, a necessary step toward peace and progress.
While we keep exploring all options to deal
with the situation in Venezuela, our immediate focus is to support any
mediation efforts that engender honest dialogue between the Venezuelan
government and the opposition. All parties have an obligation to work
together to restrain violence and restore calm. With our international
partners, the United States is continuing to look at what more we can do
in support of that effort.
America has strong historical and cultural
ties with the Venezuelan people, and we remain committed to our relationship
with them. Their fundamental freedoms and universal human rights must

El primer pecado del cubano fue su aprecio desmedido por el
standard de vida y el progreso.
El segundo pecado fue que antes de 1959 su moneda nacional valía más que el
dólar.
El tercer pecado fue hacerle la música al mundo...
Pero el peor pecado de los cubanos fue levantar una ciudad de lo que
fuera un terreno pantanoso en Florida para convertirla en el puerto
estadounidense hacia las Américas y un punto obligado del
turismo mundial. Quien le niegue este pecado a los industriosos
cubanos, está divagando o es un acomplejado.
Entonces, ¿los cubanos son malos, regulares o simplemente muy buenos?
Jesucristo dio una pauta para la conducta humana cuando dijo:
"Por sus obras los conoceréis". Así que ya tienen en Miami una regla para medir a los cubanos.
Yo no soy de ascendencia cubana. Tampoco creo que los cubanos lo sean, pues los verdaderos cubanos fueron los Taínos, los Siboneyes y
Guanajatabeyes que poblaban la hermosa isla, pero fueron
exterminados por quienes luego dieron origen al nuevo pueblo cubano.
Creo que la expresión "cubano" viene siendo como
un título de nobleza. No se puede decir siquiera que
cubano sea una raza. En el pueblo cubano hay de todo: blancos europeos, negros,mulatos y hasta asiáticos
A mi entender, el cubano no es más que un proyecto genético bien
concebido en un lugar llamado Cuba. Creo realmente que el cubano es
distinto a todos los demás latinoamericanos. Tal vez sea su posición
geográfica o su herencia euro-africana la que los hace tan
especiales.
Los cubanos hablan alto, gesticulan con las manos, son prepotentes y
se ríen de todo el mundo, pero también de ellos mismos y de sus
desgracias. De su dolor sacan arte y de su alegría hacen verdaderas
zarzuelas.
El cubano no suele ser racista, pero sí es clasista. "Lo bueno que tiene Miami, es que aquí todas las aguas cogen su nivel", me dijo una vez un amigo cubano refiriéndose a las castas sociales,supuestamente eliminadas en Cuba para que la chusma se mezcle con las capas altas y educadas. Sin embargo, el cubano liberó al negro mucho antes de que los negros estadounidenses fueran libres. En Cuba nunca se les llamó afrocubanos sino, simplemente, cubanos.
El negro de Cuba es tan cubano como el blanco o el mestizo.
No obstante, los cubanos, en especial los de Miami, son uno de los
pueblos más vilipendeados en el mundo. Creo sinceramente que hay mucha envidia en esas críticas. Molesta mucho su éxito extraordinario,
sus cinco congresistas en el Congreso de EE.UU, su enorme
poder económico, su influecia política, su afán de trabajo
y progreso, la imposición de su idioma y sus costumbres, y
mucho más.
El cubano por su ingenio y laboriosidad nunca podra escapar a su destino.
Siempre tendrá a su lado al hermano Cain y al amigo Cain a todas
esas razas y etnias que no soportan el éxito de los demás y quieren
aplastar a los triunfadores.
Yo vivía en Miami en los 60s, cuando los cubanos empezaron a llegar en grandes cantidades. No tenían nada, sólo un gran orgullo y un inmenso dolor de haber tenido que dejar a su bella isla detrás. Pronto me dí cuenta de que esta gente no había llegado a Estados Unidos en busca de un plato de comida. Venían con alma de colonizadores, en busca de progreso y libertad de ideas y expresión; y conquistaron estas tierras, para luego levantar a la gran urbe cosmopolita que es el Miami de hoy.
¿Qué habría sido de la isla de Cuba si a su pueblo no le hubieran truncado la creatividad y el espíritu empresarial?
Probablemente sería la verdadera "perla de las Antillas", envidia de
América Latina y de muchos pueblos más.
Los cubanos son comparables con la comunidad judía e italiana en Estados Unidos, que se levantaron triunfantes después de años de vicisitudes.
¿Qué sería de Miami si algún día se marchan los cubanos?
Ningún otro pueblo lograría imprimirle tanto sabor y alegría a la ciudad de Miami .Por eso me gusta tanto la letra de la canción de la cantante cubana Marisela Verena...Nosotros los cubanos y el resto de la humanidad........

PRESIDENTES
DE CUBA Desde 1902 hasta 1959 tuvimos 19 cambios de gobierno.
Cuba se independizó de España luego
de la derrota de ésta última en la Guerra Hispano-cubana-Estadounidense. Como
resultado, la isla pasó a ser controlada por Estados Unidos, que luego de una
intervención militar, le da la forma de una República.
El 20 de mayo de 1902, el General
Leonard Wood se retira de Cuba, y toma posesión el primer presidente electo de
nuestra naciente república : Tomás Estrada Palma.
A partir de ese momento y hasta el
1º de enero de 1959 ocurrieron 19 cambios de gobierno. No todos los presidentes
cumplieron a término su mandato, y como ejemplo de ello algunos datos curiosos:
En cuatro ocasiones Cuba ha tenido
3 o más gobernantes en un mismo día. Ocurrió el 12 de agosto de 1933, en que
Gerardo Machado fue destituido, Alberto Herrera presidió durante solo unas
horas y posteriormente Carlos M de Céspedes que lo hizo por poco menos de dos
meses. ¡Todo en un mismo dia!
El 4 de septiembre de ese mismo año
1933, Carlos M de Céspedes fue destituido y presidió el país una pentarquía
constituida por Grau, Franca, Carbó, Portela e Irizarri que gobernaron durante
seis días, hasta el 10 de ese mismo mes. Grau toma el poder y lo mantiene al
menos durante cuatro meses, hasta el 14 de enero de 1934.
El 14 de enero de 1934, Carlos Hevia que fue presidente solo unas horas y sustituido por Márquez Sterling cuyo “gobierno” duró cuatro días. Después Carlos Mendieta lograría mantenerlo al menos durante casi dos años…
