AMENPER: Conservadurismo, Cuna y Ejercicio de la Civilización.
Observamos las filosofías políticas durante el transcurso de nuestra vida, y escogemos la filosofía conservadora porque la consideramos la natural en el hombre. 
Si estamos equivocados, está equivocada la historia de la humanidad. 
El conservadurismo no es más que lo que el hombre concibió cuando alcanzó una consciencia civilizada, lo que consideró lo ideal para una manera de desarrollar sus facultades y la manera de escoger su sistema de gobierno.
Si vemos el pensamiento de Aristóteles en La política y de Platón en La Republica es  importante hablar y conocer acerca del pensamiento político en general (enfocado en Grecia) porque, el pensamiento político aparece en el proceso de desarrollo social, formado por las ideas, instituciones y asociaciones que caracterizan la vida espiritual del hombre.
Actualmente el pensamiento político es visto como inmoral, corrupto, y más inclinado a satisfacer los propios intereses que los colectivos. Sin embargo el error radica en creer que esas personas merecen llamarse políticos, pues su pensamiento no es político, sino egoísta y mezquino, y en ciertos casos, hasta antijurídico.
En una etapa posterior de su desarrollo, cuando comenzó lo que conocemos como civilización, los seres humanos ya no se limitaron a pensar sobre el mundo sino que comenzó a pensar sobre el pensamiento. En un momento determinado del desarrollo de las relaciones sociales, se conjugaron una serie de factores que llevaron a un grupo de individuos a preguntarse por la fundamentación racional de las normas morales existentes. A la pregunta ¿por qué esto es lo bueno y lo justo?, ya no aceptaron una respuesta basada en la tradición de sociedades anteriores,en mandatos divinos, o en principios trascendentes al ser humano y a su mundo, sino que exigieron una explicación basada en razones, en principios demostrables argumentativamente.
 Todo esto implicó una reflexión mucho más compleja. Este proceso de ascenso de un tipo de pensamiento a otro superior se conoce como tránsito del mito al logos (logística).
Su resultado fue el nacimiento de una nueva forma de apropiación espiritual de la realidad, a la que sus creadores (los griegos antiguos) llamaron simplemente filosofía, pero que es lo que hoy en día llamamos las filosofías políticas.
El nuevo orden social que se pretendía imponer debía ser presentado como expresión de un orden inherente al mundo mismo. La reflexión lógica, racional, sobre el mundo, conducente a descubrir sus principios inmanentes de funcionamiento y ordenamiento, tenía como propósito último justificar los nuevos valores morales dentro de los cuales debería regirse la sociedad.
La filosofía aunó la nueva reflexión sobre el mundo y la nueva reflexión sobre el ser humano y la sociedad.
Desde su inicio mismo, la filosofía fue, esencialmente, filosofía política.
Pensar en el mundo, pero pensar cómo se piensa sobre el mundo, implicaban necesariamente pensar en el mundo del ser humano, las relaciones sociales, los valores y las instituciones que rigen esas relaciones.
En este tipo de pensamiento, radicalmente nuevo e inédito hasta ese momento, surgió en la antigua Grecia a fines del siglo VII a n e y principios del siglo VI AC y fue el pensamiento que ha regido la sociedades civilizadas de la historia.
Debido a la conjugación de un conjunto de circunstancias, allí surgió un grupo social, conformado por campesinos individuales libres, artesanos y comerciantes preguntarse sobre el proceso mismo del conocimiento, para indagar sobre cómo se conoce, y qué quiere significar el acto mismo de conocer: un pensamiento teórico sobre la realidad como totalidad, no una idea doctrinal inmutable e inconstentable.
El pensamiento filosófico era pensamiento ético y político. Es decir, por primera vez las normas y valores morales y los principios de ordenamiento de la vida pública, del poder y del Estado, se pensaron racionalmente. Pensar unas era simultáneamente reflexionar sobre las otras. Es totalmente erróneo presentar el pensamiento ético, el pensamiento político y el pensamiento ontológico (la preocupación sobre el ser) en la filosofía griega como tres productos separados. No puede haber política fuera de la ética y la moral.
La preocupación ética desde el inicio fue preocupación política.
Para poder entender esto es preciso explicar la significación del término “Política” para los griegos
Aristóteles definió al ser humano como zoon politikon. Puede traducirse como animal político.
Para nosotros, anclados en la modernidad, donde la política es una forma específica de la actividad social, diferente de las otras (y en muchos casos antitética), esto puede parecernos una definición demasiado limitada. Pero a lo que Aristóteles está señalando como rasgo definitorio del ser humano no es a una forma entre otras de actividad, sino a un modo de actividad superior a las anteriores.
La política era la actividad social de la polis, una forma superior de organización de la vida humana.
El marco conceptual de la política era la filosofía, la preocupación ética. Para Aristóteles los griegos eran los únicos seres humanos verdaderos, pues a diferencia de los persas, egipcios, etc., eran capaces de establecer entre ellos relaciones regidas por la razón, y por lo tanto ser libres del despotismo, la ignorancia y la superstición. Sólo los griegos vivían en las polis, y por ende sólo ellos eran libres y racionales, condiciones que diferencian al ser humano de los animales.
En sentido estricto, la política era la vida de la polis, el conjunto de formas de praxis sociales de la polis. Es preciso destacar esta idea: la política constituía para el ciudadano griego su horizonte de sentido.
No vivir en una polis era, para un griego, no vivir civilizadamente, no tener una vida esencialmente humana. Pensamiento filosófico, pensamiento ético y pensamiento político eran sinónimos para los griegos.
La política (modo superior de vida social) estaba esencialmente interrelacionada con su marco conceptual (la filosofía, modo superior de pensamiento). La existencia de la polis generó la necesidad de pensar racionalmente la nueva praxis social, la política.
El pensamiento político como todo pensamiento es una capacidad humana, y en este caso exclusiva de este animal racional, al que además Aristóteles calificó de animal político, portador de ciertas habilidades del pensamiento como la de percibir el bien y el mal, distinguirlos, formar ideas, y expresarlas lingüísticamente.
Eso es en esencia el pensamiento político, el del hombre que vive en sociedad, conformada en un Estado, y busca para él, la mejor forma de gobierno y administración para lograr el bien común
Platón y Aristóteles toman como población de estudio la Ciudad-Estado o polis, entendida en términos de un territorio pequeño habitado por una comunidad dominante de ciudadanos libres y poseedores de bienes materiales y virtudes, que descansa sobre el trabajo de artesanos y campesinos que eran el equivalente a la clase trabajadora en nuestra sociedad.
La ciudad existe, por lo tanto existe la política. La ley es la esencia de toda igualdad o derecho, "dike"; es el fundamento en última instancia. La justicia constituyen la esencia de la polis, la libertad corresponde así a la naturaleza de la polis. Por ello precisamente para el griego de la época de Aristóteles y Platón– como también para los griegos posteriores, la libertad es ante todo, libertad política, y no resulta, en general, pensable por fuera de la polis
La sociedad es un hecho natural, en consecuencia el hombre es un ser esencialmente sociable,  la naturaleza arrastra instintivamente a todos los hombres a la asociación política.
A partir del origen natural de la sociedad, Aristóteles justifica la desigualdad inherente a la sociedad, la cual se expresa en la existencia de hombres libres y esclavos, bárbaros y griegos, el hombre y la mujer, el padre y los hijos no pensaban ni Aristóteles o Platón en un estado en que todos fueran iguales, la igualdad era y es irrazonable en una sociedad, no es una sociedad que se pueda concebir.
La ciudad debe reunir un conjunto de elementos materiales y humanos interactuantes que en su dinámica permitirán alcanzar el Estado más perfecto, es decir aquel Estado, en el que cada ciudadano asegura su felicidad con su trabajo y su responsabilidad dentro de la sociedad.
El gobierno de la ciudad debe ser práctico, al respecto señalaba Platón que "no basta imaginar un gobierno perfecto, se necesita, sobre todo un gobierno practicable, que pueda aplicarse fácilmente a los Estados".
Las leyes deben ser hechas para las Constituciones y no las Constituciones para las leyes. Aristóteles se identifica con Platón en el sentido que la educación es el "baluarte" de la ciudad, con la diferencia que a ella deben ascender no exclusivamente las élites sino todos los ciudadanos. La ciudad perfecta sería aquella que adoptara el gobierno mixto, producto del equilibrio y comunicación de elementos oligárquicos y elementos democráticos. Es así como el justo medio político es el fundamento del Estado. Desde el punto de vista de clase social, Aristóteles considera que:
"la asociación política es sobre todo la mejor cuando la forman ciudadanos de regular fortuna. Los Estados bien administrados son aquellos en que la clase media es más poderosa y más numerosa que las otras dos reunidas"  Algo bien diferente al pensamiento de Karl Marx y su dictadura del proletariado.
La Asamblea corresponde a la forma de gobierno democrático. El cuerpo de los ciudadanos sanciona las leyes. La Asamblea era el cuerpo deliberante, es decir, el verdadero soberano del Estado. El Poder Ejecutivo se compone por las magistraturas, encargadas de garantizar el buen orden y la tranquilidad con respecto a la vigilancia del mercado público, la conservación de las propiedades públicas y particulares, las rentas públicas, la defensa de la ciudad, el culto a los dioses y los negocios generales del Estado, "el poder de los comisarios está por encima de los senadores"
O sea que el poder no depende de un poder ejecutivo absoluto pero basado en el sistema democrático.
Esto es lo que naturalmente se ha considerado como el tipo de sociedad política natural, antes de que los socialistas vinieran con sus ideas igualitarias, en que la igualdad es una fantasía política dominada por una cúpula de políticos totalitarios.

For the last two days America was rocked by Supreme Court decisions made for political reasons, rather than based on law and the Constitution.

There's lots to say, but I really want to take a step back to cool off, since if I start writing now, I may say something that hurts some I love.

So, I am taking a step back and letting all know that last week I was at an event with Pastor Rafael Cruz (Ted Cruz' dad), and found there was a coalition of Pastors and Rabbis united to get out the vote for Ted Cruz.

Today, I am listening to the Hannity radio show, and Franklin Graham came on with a similar message. I'm paraphrasing, but this is what he said:
"The only hope is Almighty God and His Son, Jesus Christ.
- Next year I am traveling to all 50 states to conduct prayer rallies--Decision America Tour.
- I want to challenge Christians to boldly live out their faith, and pray for our nation and its leaders.
- Want to encourage Christians to get out and vote for candidates, who uphold biblical principles.
- Want to strongly urge Christians to run for public office at every level, local, state & federal.
- Won't endorse any political candidates, but proclaim the truth of God’s Gospel in every state."

We need to find those war veteran heroes, that served with honor, and are ready for another tour in the political arena. We need to find true Conservatives that respect the Constitution, and are strong enough to stand against the Washington Cartel.

Las llamadas fechas patrias en los países opresores del pueblo trabajador y discriminan a las minorías raciales así como las banderas que representan esa opresión, son símbolos fascistas que son abolidos por los pueblos cuando logran su libertad.
Como algunos de ustedes deben de haberse dado cuenta la semana que viene se celebra el 4 de Julio, una celebración  sobre la creación de un estado fascista de  blancos que cometieron genocidio contra pacíficos nativos americanos y fijaron la etapa para la esclavitud y el racismo contra los afro-americanos, con  la codicia de una nación capitalista.  
Pero pronto se está acercando el  tiempo para poner fin a esta celebración.
La fecha como la bandera americana es una representación de la maldad, el odio y el racismo de América que estábamos obligados a utilizar como una necesidad para nuestra ventaja hasta que podamos prescindir de esto.
Cualquier regocijo sobre los propietarios de esclavos europeos y los falsos patriotas blancos  y su ideología deben de ser abolidos en un futuro cercano, con la elección de la compañera Hillary como presidente y nuestro amado líder Barack Hussein Obama como magistrado en jefe del nuevo tribunal supremo.
El estado socialista progresistas bajo la presidencia de la compañera Hillary abolirá el "Día de la independencia" y cualquier tipo de celebración en el día 4 de julio y así como los Barbecue de productos no vegetarianos.

Todas las celebraciones incluyen desfiles con los trabajadores que llevarán carteles con fotos de nuestro querido líder Barack Hussein Obama, agradeciendo sus beneficios a la clase obrera y el inicio del socialismo en el estado fascista americano.  La diversión y la asistencia a los desfiles serán obligatorias.
Se cambiará la moneda con billetes que representen a nuestros líderes y personas de las razas oprimidas.

Obama: Ditch Religious Convictions About Same-Sex Marriage Already

President Barack Obama urged supporters of same-sex marriage Friday to “help” people to overcome their religious convictions, so they are no longer held back from a progressive American view of equality.
“I know that Americans of goodwill continue to hold a wide range of views on this issue,” he said in a speech following the Supreme Court’s landmark ruling to Constitutionally recognize same-sex marriage. He initially espoused respect for those who disagree with the ruling.
“Opposition in some cases has been based on sincere and deeply held beliefs,” he said. “All of us who welcome today’s news should be mindful of that fact. Recognize different viewpoints. Revere our deep commitment to religious freedom.”
“But today should also give us hope that on the many issues with which we grapple often painfully real change is possible,” he continued, abruptly switching gears, clearly implying that those who disagree must come around to the more righteous, more American, and more equal view of marriage. (RELATED: Southern Baptists Promise To Defy Gay Marriage Laws)
“Shifts in hearts and minds is possible,” he said. “And those who have come so far on their journey to equality have a responsibility to reach back and help others join them. Because for all our differences, we are one people — stronger together than we could ever be alone.”

AMENPER: El Matrimonio Homosexual.
La corte suprema aprobó el matrimonio homosexual.  Esto preocupa a muchos por la preocupación legítima de que ahora estos matrimonios tienen ciertos derechos de minorías que se incluirán con los beneficios que afectan a los contribuyentes.  Pero desde el punto de vista de la sociedad, creo que l matrimonio homosexual es algo que no existe, y como no existe no es algo de lo que nos tenemos que preocupar como no sea el espectáculo público de las parejas del mismo sexo exhibiendo sus “amores”.
El matrimonio heterosexual puede funcionar o no funcionar, depende de los individuos, pero existe y funciona la mayoría de las veces.  El matrimonio homosexual por experiencia nunca funciona, es una parodia de dos personas unidas por la promiscuidad de un acto sexual que va contra la naturaleza.
Como nace de la promiscuidad, nunca hay la fidelidad del verdadero amor matrimonial, y no existe la verdadera unión. Vemos y ahora lo veremos más de parejas que por conveniencia económica o social se mantengan viviendo juntos en la parodia del matrimonio homosexual, pero será sólo eso una parodia, con la promiscuidad de cambio de parejas sistemáticamente.
Con ley o sin ley, el matrimonio homosexual no funciona.  Lo peor desde el punto de vista social es la adopción, los hijos adoptados verán la realidad de la promiscuidad de los “padres” y afectará la estabilidad emocional que tendrá repercusiones en el resto de su vida.
Pueden reclamar que existe el verdadero amor en el matrimonio homosexual, no lo he visto, si lo reclaman y sucede, sería una excepción a lo que he visto pero el tiempo dirá dónde está la realidad. La union en el sexuo homosexual es una aberración que se ha aceptado cómo lo que es, y se había llegado a aceptar las uniones civiles con sus dereches, pero no cómo un matrimonio legal. Ahora, nada va a cambiar cómo no sea la aprobación legal con sus consecuencias.
Por el momento creo que lo importante es el derecho a expresar lo que creemos, si se acepta como ley de los hombres, esto no quiere decir que la ley imponga que socialmente hay que aceptar lo que no creemos, porque esto va contra la libertad de las creencias del individuo y esto es también parte esencial de los derechos humanos de los creyentes de todas las vertientes




Quintin George: VATICAN SIGNS TREATY WITH "STATE OF PALESTINE"

VATICAN CITY (AP) -- The Vatican signed a treaty with the "State of Palestine" on Friday, saying it hoped its legal recognition of the state would help stimulate peace with Israel and that the treaty itself would serve as a model for other Mideast countries.
Vatican Foreign Minister Paul Gallagher and his Palestinian counterpart, Riad al-Malki, signed the treaty at a ceremony inside the Vatican.
Israel expressed disappointment when the Vatican announced last month that it had reached final agreement with the "State of Palestine" on the treaty regulating the life of the Catholic Church in the Palestinian territories.
It repeated that regret in a Foreign Ministry statement Friday, saying the move hurt peace prospects and would discourage the Palestinians from returning to direct negotiations. It warned that it would study the agreement "and its implications for future cooperation between Israel and the Vatican."
Gallagher, though, said he hoped the Vatican's recognition "may in some way be a stimulus to bringing a definitive end to the long-standing Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which continues to cause suffering for both parties."
He said that he hoped the treaty could serve as a model for the church in other Mideast countries, where Christians are a minority and often persecuted.
The Vatican had welcomed the decision by the U.N. General Assembly in 2012 to recognize a Palestinian state and had referred to the Palestine state since. But the treaty marked its first legal recognition of the Palestinian territory as a state.
Al-Malki called the treaty an "historic agreement" and said it marked "a recognition of the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, freedom and dignity in an independent state of their own, free from the shackles of occupation."
The United States and Israel oppose recognizing the Palestinian state, arguing that it undermines U.S.-led efforts to negotiate an Israeli-Palestinian deal on the terms of Palestinian statehood. Most countries in Western Europe have held off on recognition, but some have hinted that their position could change if peace efforts remain deadlocked.
Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Emmanuel Nahshon called the treaty itself one-sided, saying the text ignored "the historic rights of the Jewish people in the Land of Israel and to the places holy to Judaism in Jerusalem."




AMENPER: Inteligencia, Conocimientos y Racionalidad
De los dones naturales y adquiridos que mejor pueden guiar la existencia del ser humano, estos tres dones son los más importantes.  La Inteligencia es un don natural, los conocimientos y la racionalidad tienen que ser adquiridos y ejercitados por el individuo.  Pero si tenemos inteligencia y adquirimos conocimientos, pero no ejercitamos la racionalidad los dos primeros no funcionan.  Las emociones oscurecen la inteligencia y los conocimientos, y si no usamos el razonamiento, cometemos errores que afectan nuestras vidas y la vida de los demás que dependen de nuestras decisiones.
Esto es lo que vemos en los líderes de este país y otros países de Latinoamérica y el mundo.
Vemos cómo personas que han acumulado conocimientos académicos que sin lugar a dudas necesitan ciertos grados de inteligencia para adquirirlos, se dejan llevar por sus bajas emociones para llevar a su pueblo por el camino fraudulento de una doctrina, el socialismo, que ha fracasado cada vez que se ha impuesto en cualquier lugar del mundo.
¿Cómo lo hacen? ¿Cómo pueden convencer a alguien de que una doctrina que ha fracasado es lo mejor para el país?  Pues lo hacen llevando al pueblo la predicación de la envidia, el deseo de no ser menos que otros, aunque esto sea a costa de que ellos sigan igual, el deseo que los que tienen algo lo pierda, es una emoción muy atractiva a la envidia.
 La obsesión fraudulenta de la igualdad propugnada por los socialistas fue muy bien resumida por Margaret Thatcher, quien en un discurso a la oposición socialista, demostró lo absurdo de la posición de sus oponentes. Mientras que gesticulando con sus dedos para ilustrar su concepto visual, ella dijo que “Los socialistas prefieren que los pobres sean más pobres, siempre que los ricos eran menos ricos. "
 No es casualidad que las sociedades socialistas llevan a altos niveles de alienación y represión a los ciudadanos, contrario a que la teoría marxista afirma lo contrario y dice que es el capitalismo el que causa tales efectos sociales, pero la historia prueba lo contrario, esto lo vimos los Cubanos, esto lo vieron los que vivieron en la Unión Soviética y sus satélites, eso lo ven los Chinos a pesar de haber adoptado algunos sistemas derivados de la economía de mercado pero mantienen el socialismo político-social.
La razón de que tales disparidades sociales son prevalentes en países socialistas es porque la valoración social del individuo es reducida a casi nada. Igualdad de medios no se ha logrado en un estado socialista de ningún tipo en el mundo historia.
Cada estado socialista, incluyendo la China de hoy, ha sido liderado por las elites con una subclase miserable ahora bajo los pies.  La subclase es típicamente fue mentida (por ejemplo, le ofrecieron "Libertad, paz e igualdad", pero recibieron nada de lo ofrecido).
En los países brutalmente y ortodoxamente socialistas, como Cuba y Norcorea, la disparidad entre ricos y pobres aumenta realmente después de la "revolución". Eso es irónico, pero es una realidad, las políticas socialistas llevan a una mayor desigualdad de los medios, en lugar de más igualdad. 
Socialismo no es coherente con la naturaleza humana. Los seres humanos no son naturalmente altruistas, porque como especie, la humanidad es conducida por el deseo de procrear, y exige que todo acto sea seminal, que el fruto de su trabajo sea para beneficio propio.  Si sobra algo o si en la búsqueda de la riqueza otros se benefician es algo residual, el hombre es sólo altruista cuando su altruismo lo beneficia, otras veces porque le sirve envanecimiento propio, o quizás en algunos casos llevados por un impulso religioso como en el caso de la caridad cristiana, pero nunca por su propia naturaleza.
 Las sociedades han logrado riquezas en base a la caza, trabajo, producción y hasta con la guerra, pero nunca con la redistribución porque este es un modelo que convierte la economía en algo estático y produce un deterioro de la organización económica.
Esta es la pura realidad de la vida, no es bonito, siempre habrá desigualdad, algunos dirán que eso va contra la caridad cristiana, que va contra el cristianismo, contra la versión de que Dios creó a todos iguales.   Pero el que Dios creara a todos iguales no quiere decir que todos después se comportaran iguales.
Esto se recuerda el evangelio de Juan en la Biblia, cuando Judas hipócritamente reprendió a Marta porque estaba ungiendo los pies de Jesús con un aceite caro y le dijo que mejor se vendía el aceite perfumado y se repartía entre los pobres. Dice la Biblia
Pero Judas no dijo esto porque le importaran los pobres, sino porque era ladrón, y como tenía a su cargo la bolsa del dinero, robaba de lo que echaban en ella.
Y Jesús le dijo: --Déjala, pues lo estaba guardando para el día de mi entierro. A los pobres siempre los tendrán entre ustedes, pero a mí no siempre me tendrán
Hay dos lecciones en este hecho bíblico, uno que la diferencia entre pobres y ricos siempre existirá bajo cualquier sistema, y lo otro es que siempre habrá personas como Judas, que era el tesorero de los apóstoles y que era un ladrón que robaba de la bolsa, y nos enseña que siempre habrá políticos como Judas  que predicarán una igualdad imposible para sus propios beneficios.
¿De quienes estoy hablando?  Bueno al que le venga el sayo, se lo ponen, Judas se lo puso y saben dónde terminó.

Attorney Orly Taitz has written an article below, stating that a way to stop TPP, a treasonous, anti-American, job robbing Pacific Free Trade agreement, is for Democrats and Tea Party Republicans to bring to the floor of the House of Representatives a motion of non-confidence in the Speaker of the House, John Boehner, and seat a TPP opponent in his place, who will simply refuse to put to a vote the final TPP agreement. A motion of non-confidence is also called a Motion to Vacate the Chair.

Attorney Orly Taitz is calling on every Patriot, Tea Party Member, Conservatives, Liberals, Independents, everyone who loves this country, to push for this vote in order to stop TPP. It is the most important thing you will ever do: call every Democrat Representative and every Tea Party Representative. AMENPER: ABOUT DEFEAT AND VICTORY

In formal logic, a contradiction is the signal of defeat, but in the evolution of real knowledge it marks the first step in progress toward a victory.

Alfred Whitehead was an English mathematician and philosopher that lived in the last century. He is best known as the defining figure of the philosophical school known as process philosophy.  It may seem strange that a mathematician could be a philosopher, but as Whitehead explains, “algebras have an intrinsic value for separate detailed study; also they are worthy of comparative study, for the sake of the light thereby thrown on the general theory of symbolic reasoning, and on algebraic symbolism in particular” 
In other words what Whitehead tells us is that algebra is reasoning and deduction, and that is what he applied in the philosophical quote that I copied at the beginning. 
A defeat could be, not a defeat by itself, but a symbolic sign to pursue victory.
And, more or less, in other words, this is what Kimberly A. Strassel tells us in her article in today´s Wall Street Journal.
The debate on Obamacare is not finished, it just beginning, and the final victory or defeat is in the future and in ours hands.

This week, we have twice seen Supreme Court Justices violating their judicial oaths. Yesterday, the Justices re-wrote Obamacare, yet again, in order to force this failed law on the American people. Today, the Court doubled down with a 5-4 opinion that undermines not just the definition of marriage, but the very foundations of our representative form of government.
Both decisions were judicial activism, plain and simple. Both were lawless.
As Justice Scalia put it regarding Obamacare, “Words no longer have meaning if an Exchange that is not established by a State is ‘established by the State.’ . . . We should start calling this law SCOTUSCare.” And as he observed regarding marriage, “Today’s decree says that . . . the Ruler of 320 million Americans coast-to-coast is a majority of the nine lawyers on the Supreme Court.”
Sadly, the political reaction from the leaders of my party is all too predictable. They will pretend to be incensed, and then plan to do absolutely nothing.
That is unacceptable. On the substantive front, I have already introduced a constitutional amendment to preserve the authority of elected state legislatures to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman, and also legislation stripping the federal courts of jurisdiction over legal assaults on marriage. And the 2016 election has now been transformed into a referendum on Obamacare; in 2017, I believe, a Republican president will sign legislation finally repealing that disastrous law.
But there is a broader problem: The Court’s brazen action undermines its very legitimacy. As Justice Scalia powerfully explained,
“Hubris is sometimes defined as o’erweening pride; and pride, we know, goeth before the fall. . . . With each decision of ours that takes from the People a question properly left to them—with each decision that is unabashedly based not on law, but on the ‘reasoned judgment’ of a bare majority of this Court—we move one step closer to being reminded of our impotence.”
This must stop. Liberty is in the balance.
Not only are the Court’s opinions untethered from reason and logic, they are also alien to our constitutional system of limited and divided government. By redefining the meaning of common words, and redesigning the most basic human institutions, this Court has crossed from the realm of activism into the arena of oligarchy.
This week’s opinions are but the latest in a long line of judicial assaults on our Constitution and the common-sense values that have made America great. During the past fifty years, the Court has condemned millions of innocent unborn children to death, banished God from our schools and public squares, extended constitutional protections to prisoners of war on foreign soil, authorized the confiscation of property from one private owner to transfer it to another, and now required all Americans to purchase a specific product, and to accept the redefinition of an institution ordained by God and long predating the formation of the Court.
Enough is enough.
Over the last several decades, many attempts have been made to compel the Court to abide by the Constitution. But, as Justice Alito put it, “[t]oday’s decision shows that decades of attempts to restrain this Court’s abuse of its authority have failed.”
In the case of marriage, a majority of states passed laws or state constitutional amendments to affirm the definition of marriage as between one man and one woman. At the federal level, the Congress and President Clinton enacted the Defense of Marriage Act. When it comes to marriage, the Court has clearly demonstrated an unwillingness to remain constrained by the Constitution.
Similarly, the Court has now twice engaged in Constitutional contortionism in order to preserve Obamacare. If the Court is unwilling to abide by the specific language of our laws as written, and if it is unhindered by the clear intent of the people’s elected representatives, our Constitutional options for reasserting our authority over our government are limited.
The Framers of our Constitution, despite their foresight and wisdom, did not anticipate judicial tyranny on this scale. The Constitution explicitly provides that Justices “shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour,” and this is a standard they are not remotely meeting. The Framers thought Congress’ “power of instituting impeachments,” as Alexander Hamilton argued in theFederalist Papers, would be an “important constitutional check” on the judicial branch and would provide “a complete security” against the Justices’ “deliberate usurpations of the authority of the legislature.”
But the Framers underestimated the Justices’ craving for legislative power, and they overestimated the Congress’ backbone to curb it. It was clear even before the end of the founding era that the threat of impeachment was, in Thomas Jefferson's words, "not even a scarecrow" to the Justices. Today, the remedy of impeachment – the only one provided under our Constitution to cure judicial tyranny -- is still no remedy at all. A Senate that cannot muster 51 votes to block an Attorney General nominee openly committed to continue an unprecedented course of executive branch lawlessness can hardly be expected to muster the 67 votes needed to impeach an Anthony Kennedy.
The time has come, therefore, to recognize that the problem lies not with the lawless rulings of individual lawless Justices, but with the lawlessness of the Court itself. The decisions that have deformed our constitutional order and have debased our culture are but symptoms of the disease of liberal judicial activism that has infected our judiciary. A remedy is needed that will restore health to the sick man in our constitutional system.
Rendering the Justices directly accountable to the people would provide such a remedy. Twenty states have now adopted some form of judicial retention elections, and the experience of these States demonstrates that giving the people the regular, periodic power to pass judgment on the judgments of their judges strikes a proper balance between judicial independence and judicial accountability. It also restores respect for the rule of law to courts that have systematically imposed their personal moral values in the guise of constitutional rulings. The courts in these states have not been politicized by this check on their power, nor have judges been removed indiscriminately or wholesale. Americans are a patient, forgiving people. We do not pass judgment rashly.
Yet we are a people who believe, in the words of our Declaration of Independence that “when a long train of abuses and usurpations . . . evinces a design to reduce [the people] under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government and to provide new guards for their future security.” In California, the people said enough is enough in 1986, and removed from office three activist justices who had repeatedly contorted the state constitution to effectively outlaw capital punishment, no matter how savage the crime. The people of Nebraska likewise removed a justice who had twice disfigured that state’s constitution to overturn the people’s decision to subject state legislators to term limits. And in 2010, the voters of Iowa removed three justices who had, like the Supreme Court inObergefell, invented a constitutional right to same-sex marriage.
Judicial retention elections have worked in states across America; they will work for America. In order to provide the people themselves with a constitutional remedy to the problem of judicial activism and the means for throwing off judicial tyrants, I am proposing an amendment to the United States Constitution that would subject the Justices of the Supreme Court to periodic judicial retention elections. Every Justice, beginning with the second national election after his or her appointment, will answer to the American people and the states in a retention election every eight years. Those justices deemed unfit for retention by both a majority of the American people as a whole and by majorities of the electorates in at least half of the 50 states will be removed from office and disqualified from future service on the Court.
As a constitutional conservative, I do not make this proposal lightly. I began my career as a law clerk to Chief Justice William Rehnquist—one of our Nation’s greatest chief justices—and I have spent over a decade litigating before the Supreme Court. I revere that institution, and have no doubt that Rehnquist would be heartbroken at what has befallen our highest court.
But, sadly, the Court’s hubris and thirst for power have reached unprecedented levels. And that calls for meaningful action, lest Congress be guilty of acquiescing to this assault on the rule of law.
And if Congress will not act, passing the constitutional amendments needed to correct this lawlessness, then the movement from the People for an Article V Convention of the States—to propose the amendments directly—will grow stronger and stronger.
As we prepare to celebrate next week the 239th anniversary of the birth of our country, our Constitution finds itself under sustained attack from an arrogant judicial elite. Yet the words of Daniel Webster ring as true today as they did over 150 years ago: “Hold on, my friends, to the Constitution and to the Republic for which it stands. Miracles do not cluster and what has happened once in 6,000 years, may not happen again. Hold on to the Constitution, for if the American Constitution should fail, there will be anarchy throughout the world.” We must hold fast to the miracle that is our Constitution and our Republic; we must not submit our constitutional freedoms, and the promise of our nation, to judicial tyranny.



Supreme Deception

Today, in one breathtaking move, the nation's highest court took for itself the power reserved for its people -- overturning the votes of millions of Americans and demanding that they walk away from millennia of human history, human nature, and the explicit teachings of Scripture in the process. Exactly two years after this court took an iron gavel to federal marriage law, the same justices came back to finish the job -- inventing a sweeping "right" to same-sex marriage no founding father intended.
Are we disappointed? Yes -- but not surprised by an increasingly activist Court that sees itself as super-legislators. While five justices may have trampled the will of more than 50 million people, they do not have the moral authority to redefine marriage. Just as Americans refused to accept the Court's decision on abortion 42 years as legitimate, they will not accept this one. Like the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling, this all but ensures that America will not achieve broad social consensus on marriage. Why? Because it will be used to rob Americans of their rights in the marketplace, in the education of their children, and most importantly, in the expression of their beliefs on marriage.
And we are not alone in that view. Justice Samuel Alito in his dissent signals far more than the death of marriage. "Today's decision will also have a fundamental effect on this Court and its ability to uphold the rule of law. If a bare majority of Justices can invent a new right and impose that right on the rest of the country, the only real limit on what future majorities will be able to do is their own sense of what those with political power and cultural influence are willing to tolerate."
Desperate to justify their overreach, one that cannot be supported by the Constitution, history, or even human tradition, the majority insists that there are "changing definitions of marriage," "where new dimensions of freedom become apparent." Wrong. The nature of marriage has never changed -- and never will. As Congressman Joe Pitts (R-Pa.) powerfully reminded people, marriage was the union of a man and woman at the time of the Fourteenth Amendment, at the Founding of our country, and in every time and place until 2004. Even then, no court overturned natural law. And today, no court can -- not even the Supreme Court of the United States. What God imprinted on the human heart, no judge can change.
For 11 years, homosexual activists have hidden behind the black robes of the court, trying to force their will on America before people wake up to the devastation. Today, in the court's arrogance, they succeeded -- swatting away the democratic expression of 50 million people like gnats on a humid day. "Today's decree," Justice Antonin Scalia fumes, "says that my Ruler, and the Ruler of 320 million Americans coast-to-coast, is a majority of the nine lawyers on the Supreme Court. The opinion in these cases is the furthest extension in fact... This practice of constitutional revision by an unelected committee of nine, always accompanied (as it is today) by extravagant praise of liberty, robs the People of the most important liberty they asserted in the Declaration of Independence and won in the Revolution of 1776: the freedom to govern themselves." Chief Justice John Roberts agreed, noting with poignancy, "If you are among the many Americans -- of whatever sexual orientation -- who favor expanding same-sex marriage, by all means celebrate today's decision. Celebrate the achievement of a desired goal. Celebrate the opportunity for a new expression of commitment to a partner. Celebrate the availability of new benefits. But do not celebrate the Constitution. It had nothing to do with it."
If the President, his party, and this court think that they have resolved this controversial issue, they're mistaken. By disenfranchising 50 million Americans, in a decision divorced of law and logic, they have only poured fuel on the fire. Forty years ago, many people thought -- as some might today -- that the battle for life was lost. Over time, our movement and technology helped to change people's hearts and minds to a new understanding of the sanctity of the unborn child. And we will do it again. As more Americans see and feel the erosion of religious liberty, of parental rights, of children's innocence, and of conscience rights, their opinions will no longer be swayed by emotions and popular opinion -- but by transcendent truth and inevitable consequences that come from its rejection.
With this ruling, there is no doubt the Court has set in motion some dark days for religious liberty. But in that darkness will come a great Light, if believers hold firm to faith and continue speaking into the culture the uncompromising word of God. "This decision shows one thing: our desperate need for the next Great Awakening, and the hope of the Gospel given to all persons," Dr. Ronnie Floyd admonished. "We must rise up like never before with great urgency, to forward the message of Jesus Christ to every person in America."
The times of testing are coming -- just as they have come to every generation of God's faithful. But we will not stop standing for truth. And as conservatives, we will not be standing alone. In statement after statement, interview after interview, great leaders from across this country are making it clear: this is not over. From Governor's mansions to statehouse floors, the message is determined and resolved. "Millions of Americans have voted to preserve traditional marriage, with the knowledge that moms and dads raising kids in a stable home is essential to a healthy nation," Congressman Bill Flores (R-Texas) vowed. "I remain committed to restoring the right of Americans to decide this question for themselves, at the ballot box or through their state legislature." GOP presidential candidates -- the same ones the media criticized for not sayingenough about marriage -- blasted the Court for ripping the decision out of the people's hands and making a mockery of states' rights. "The only outcome worse than this flawed, failed decision would be for the President and Congress, two co-equal branches of government, to surrender in the face of this out-of-control act of unconstitutional, judicial tyranny," Mike Huckabee declared. "The Supreme Court can no more repeal the laws of nature and nature's God on marriage than it can the law of gravity."
The chorus of opposition grew until the responses came pouring in from all sides: theRepublican National Committee; Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio); Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.); Reps. Vicky Hartzler (R-Mo.) Doug Lamborn (R-Colo.), Bill Flores (R-Texas), Ted Yoho (R-Fla.), Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), Steve Scalise (R-La.), John Fleming (R-La.),Louie Gohmert (R-Texas), Randy Forbes (R-Va.), Mike Kelly (R-Pa.); Senators Marco Rubio(R-Fla.), Rick Santorum, Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Tim Scott (R-S.C.),Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), Ben Sasse (R-Nebr.), James Lankford (R-Okla.), Dan Coats (R-Ind.),Governors Scott Walker (R-Wisc.), Mike Huckabee, Rick Perry, Bobby Jindal (R-La.), Jeb Bush; Carly Fiorina, and more. In Texas, Attorney General Ken Paxton promised voters that local officials will not act until the leaders of the state exhaust all of their options. His boss, Governor Greg Abbott (R), fired back at the Court with a statewide directive protecting anyone with sincere beliefs from being punished by the government for "granting or denying benefits, managing agency employees, entering or enforcing agency contracts, licensing and permitting decisions, or enforcing state laws and regulations." Together, they are telling America: the court may have had the last word on marriage, but it will not have the final one.
For those who are called to such a time as this, the moment has been given to us to stand firm. And that is what we will do. Calvary, Shannon Royce told our staff earlier, must have seemed like the darkest day in the world -- but it was really just the beginning of victory. This is a disheartening decision, to be sure. But we will not let a court's definition of marriage defineus. For "the plan of the Lord stands forever, the designs of his heart through all generations. Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon those who fear him, upon those who count on his mercy. To deliver their soul from death and to keep them alive through famine. May your mercy, Lord, be upon us; as we put our hope in you" (Psalm 33).

The ObamaCare Debate Begins Anew
This week’s Supreme Court ruling sets up the 2016 presidential election perfectly for Republicans.

The one fun part of this week’s Supreme Court decision on ObamaCare is that it has given the country a new way to evaluate everything Democrats say. Take Barack Obama’s pronouncement Thursday that the court’s ruling in King v. Burwell means “the Affordable Care Act is here to stay.”
Those words are pretty clear. Mr. Obama surely meant them. Yet all we have to do is give them the old Roberts High Court treatment, and—voilà!—we discover the exact opposite meaning. Far from putting this debate behind us, the ruling has freed Washington to take it up. Now that the long months of waiting silently and expectantly for the court’s decision are over, debate on ObamaCare is about to explode in a way not witnessed since 2010.
The reason rests in another of Mr. Obama’s statements Thursday: “there can be no doubt this law is working.” Apply those Roberts Rules of Plain Textual Interpretation, and we find that what the president means is that families are still losing their doctors, still getting hit with double-digit premium hikes. What he means is that the law remains as unpopular as ever.
The Republican presidential candidates know this, and the court’s ruling has made their job easier politically. Few had issued their own health-care proposals. The rest were waiting to see the state of the terrain after King v. Burwell. Many also privately fretted that if the court struck down ObamaCare subsidies, Republicans would fail to coalesce around a response, and the GOP would then take the blame for the turmoil that followed.
That risk is gone, and the GOP candidates now have a clear field to present the presidential race as another referendum on ObamaCare. Only this time there will be no Romney-like nominee with a health-care history that tanks his ability to engage. And despite some disagreements, Republicans have steadily erected over the past five years a set of strong, core principles for reform. The candidates will soon be issuing (if they haven’t already) comprehensive proposals, setting up ObamaCare to be the most high-profile, defining domestic issue of 2016—in a way it never came close to being in 2012.
That is in part because Republicans will be having the debate with a woman who doesn’t own—but rather is inheriting—this law. Hillary Clinton has already been reassuring nervous Americans that she envisions some “fixes” for ObamaCare. Were John Roberts to look very, very closely at that word—meditate on it a few months or a year—he’d tell you that what Mrs. Clinton is actually saying is that she will defend ObamaCare down to the ground, advocating only the most minor tweaks.
What else can she do? She cannot ditch Mr. Obama’s legacy, the crowning achievement of the modern Democratic Party. Nor would she want to, as the author of its precursor, HillaryCare. And yet this means she will have to defend it: not only the mess (the high costs, the lost doctors) but also the White House’s extralegal approach to handling the law’s flaws. The contrast—between a Democrat who could start over but won’t, and a Republican who has a real plan for change—will be a new and important sight for voters.
Of course, even Mr. Obama on Thursday acknowledged that “we’ve still got work to do to make health care in America even better.” The pure Roberts reading of this line would be: “Watch me now block every partisan and bipartisan effort to fix this disaster.” And there will be many, in part because the court’s ruling refires the starting gun for congressional Republicans, who will begin by passing later this summer or in early fall a full repeal of ObamaCare as part of their budget reconciliation (which requires only 51 Senate votes). Mr. Obama will veto it, but the GOP will finally be able to say that it put repeal on his desk. Less certain is whether Republicans will move a “replace” plan given divisions over its exact contours and concerns that these splits could put GOP disarray back in the spotlight.
The more interesting work will come in their bills to force incremental change, a number of which have Democratic support. The House last week passed repeal of the medical-device tax with 46 Democrats joining Republicans. When the Senate had a test vote on that question in 2013, repeal received 79 votes, more than enough to override a presidential veto. Meanwhile, the House this week voted to repeal the Independent Payment Advisory Board—the Obama “death panel.” Eleven Democrats joined to kill it, and Republicans are expecting at least some Democratic support in the Senate.
There will be far more of these bills as Republicans use their new control in the upper chamber to force Democrats to take positions on key parts of the law. Some of these attempts may even succeed.
So no, the Affordable Care Act, in its present form, is hardly “here to stay”; the law isn’t “working”; Mr. Obama isn’t going to make it “even better”; and Hillary isn’t going to “fix” it. Those all rank with Mr. Obama’s declaration that the court’s decision made Thursday “a good day for America.” Run that one through the Roberts typewriter. And try not to get too depressed.

La única parte divertida de la decisión del Tribunal Supremo de esta semana sobre ObamaCare es que se ha dado al país una nueva forma de evaluar todo demócratas dicen. Tome pronunciamiento de Barack Obama el jueves que la decisión del tribunal en King v. Burwell significa "la Ley de Cuidado de Salud Asequible está aquí para quedarse."
Esas palabras son bastante claras. Obama les significó sin duda. El contraste entre un demócrata que podría empezar de nuevo, pero no lo hará, y un republicano que tiene un plan real para el cambio-será un nuevo e importante visión para los votantes.
Por supuesto, incluso el señor Obama el jueves reconoció que "todavía tenemos trabajo que hacer para que la atención de salud en América aún mejor." La lectura pura Roberts de esta línea sería: "Mírame ahora bloquear todo esfuerzo partidista y bipartidista para arreglar este desastre. "Y habrá muchos, en parte debido a la decisión del tribunal refires el pistoletazo de salida para los republicanos en el Congreso, que comenzarán pasando a finales de este verano o principios del otoño de una derogación completa de ObamaCare como parte de su presupuesto de reconciliación ( que requiere sólo 51 votos en el Senado). El Sr. Obama veto, pero el Partido Republicano finalmente podrá decir que se puso derogación en su escritorio. Menos seguro es si los republicanos se moverán un plan de "reemplazar" divisiones dadas sobre sus contornos y preocupaciones exactas que estas divisiones podrían poner GOP desorden de nuevo en el punto de mira.
El trabajo más interesante vendrá en sus proyectos de ley para forzar un cambio incremental, algunos de los cuales tienen el apoyo demócrata. What Justice Roberts Did Right This Week. by George Leef

On June 22, the Supreme Court released its decision in Horne v. Department of Agriculture. When I wrote about Horne after oral arguments last fall, I called it the “raisin ripoff” case because the federal government (specifically, the Department of Agriculture’s Raisin Administrative Committee) had demanded 47 percent of the Hornes’ crop for its “price stabilization” system back in 2002.
The value of those raisins was roughly $484,000. When the Hornes refused to obey the Department’s order to turn over the raisins, they were slapped with an assessment plus a fine amounting to $695,000. They fought back, arguing that the government had violated their rights under the Fifth Amendment because it sought to take their property without paying just compensation.
Litigation dragged on for years, with the case making two appearances in the Supreme Court.
Chief Justice Roberts’ majority opinion finally puts to rest the strained, desperate arguments that the government had hoped would keep this absurd policy going.
For one, he dismissed the claim that the Fifth Amendment was only meant to protect against takings of real property and that takings of personal property (like raisins) did not have to be compensated. Roberts noted that one of the reasons why the Constitution’s drafters included the just compensation requirement was that the people had suffered from uncompensated seizures of personal property by the British and did not want any of that in their new country.
Furthermore, he easily dealt with the Ninth Circuit’s idea that the taking of the property of raisin growers was constitutionally OK because the growers might benefit from the higher prices and also might get some money returned to them – besides which, no one forces them to go into the raisin business in the first place.
“Selling produce in interstate commerce, although subject to reasonable governmental regulations, is similarly not a special benefit that the Government may hold hostage, to be ransomed by the waiver of constitutional protection,” Roberts replied.
The Court’s holding that the Department of Agriculture must pay just compensation if and when it takes growers’ output is a welcome defense of property rights. While the decision does not put an end to the Department’s manipulation of raisin prices or any of its other programs – it has “marketing orders” that cover twenty fruits and vegetables including pistachios, cranberries and tomatoes – having to pay for any crops taken will crimp these programs somewhat.
(Only Justice Sotomayor dissented, the “wise Latina” accepting the government’s collectivist notion that there is no constitutional taking if those who have their property seized might get something back.)
While Horne is a step in the right direction, it isn’t nearly enough. Government should not set or manipulate prices at all. Not for agricultural crops or anything else.
It’s worth reviewing exactly how we got to the point where productive Americans can have their property taken by government officials with the intent of keeping prices higher than their free market levels.
In the 1930s, influential but economically ignorant thinkers came up with the idea that national prosperity could be restored by raising the prices of crops. That would, supposedly, put more money into the farm economy, leading to more purchases of supplies and other goods by farmers, leading to a widening circle of prosperity for all. (Today, advocates of a high minimum wage use the same argument – the workers who get higher wages will spend the money, putting more money in the pockets of the businesses they deal with, and so on.)
That idea was irresistible to FDR and his “Brain Trusters” who did not think that ordinary people should be free to buy and sell as they please, but that federal officials needed to tightly control all commerce. The 30s were rife with state and federal laws to fix prices and create governmentally-controlled cartels. The most infamous was the National Industrial Recovery Act of 1933, but that law was declared unconstitutional in the 1935 Schechter Poultry decision.
Roosevelt threw a tantrum over that and other Court rulings against his anti-market policies and threatened to pack the Supreme Court late in 1936. The result was “the switch in time that saved nine.” That is, a couple of justices who had previously regarded New Deal legislation as going beyond the powers granted to Congress, switched over to the pro-New Deal side. After that, FDR’s legislation had clear sailing, including the law at the heart of Horne, the Agricultural Marketing Agreement Act.
The idea that agricultural markets needed government “stabilization” was a bad one in 1937 and remains so today. Free agricultural markets would benefit consumers and spare us the waste of good food, the waste of paying bureaucrats to mess with markets, and the waste that lobbying by big agricultural interests involves.
Getting rid of all of those programs is not the Supreme Court’s job, although a strong argument can be made that they are unconstitutional under a correct understanding of the Commerce Clause. (Professor Richard Epstein has nailed that down in this Virginia Law Review article.) The job belongs to Congress, which should repeal all of the various commodity price control and subsidy programs. (Read this piece by Cato Institute’s Chris Edwards to see the scope of the problem.)
But there’s the rub. Interest groups have been plying Congress for these favors for a long time. Many Republicans who profess their devotion to free markets support them, as do many Democrats who always insist that they’re so devoted to helping “the little guy.” We won’t get rid of these programs unless the next president makes doing so a high priority.

Te cuento lo que pasó. Como sabrás, la Iglesia ha estado muy activa contra la ley del suicidio asistido en California. Logró aunar a otras denominaciones religiosas –especialmente a las afroamericanas- y finalmente logramos defender la vida frente a lo que el Papa llama "cultura del descarte”…
Pues bien, algunos se han escocido y han decidido arremeter contra Fray Junípero Serra. Parecía que al menos iban arespetar la visita del Papa tras la campaña que –recuerdas-  lanzamos el pasado 22 de abril. Pero se ve que no. Van con todo. No respetan al Papa… ¡¡¡ni al fundador de California!!!
Como sabes, la propuesta es sustituir a Fray Junípero Serra por una activista homosexual.
Para colmo, Lazaro R, no se si sabes, pero en el Capitolio sólo hay dos estatuas de hispanos de las 100 que hay.
¿Qué les molesta, que sea hispano, que sea fraile o ambas cosas?

No lo podemos permitir, Lazaro R. Fray Junípero Serra fue el fundador de California: creó ciudades, llevó la cultura, la civilización… Sencillamente no es posible entender California sin él.
Retirar la estatua del Capitolio sería un atentado contra la historia, una agresión para la minoría hispana y un ataque contra la libertad religiosa. Y todo por un arrebato de laicismo radical porque pretendían imponer la cultura de la muerte…

Franklin Graham Just Slapped The Supreme Court With The One Thing About Marriage They Don’t Realize

"God is clear about the definition of marriage..."
Many of the 1.7 million people who like Franklin Graham’s Facebook page are giving a big thumbs-up to his reaction to the Supreme Court’s same-sex marriage decision. That message was posted by the head of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association shortly after the high court ruled 5-4 that same-sex couples have a nationwide right to marry, no matter what individual states or their residents might say.
As of this writing, more than 130,000 people have liked Graham’s statement, which reads in part: “With all due respect to the court, it did not define marriage, and therefore is not entitled to re-define it.” And the number of Facebook likes for the pastor’s reaction is growing rapidly.

Graham’s assessment of the country’s standing in the eyes of God is rather pessimistic, as he tells his Facebook friends: “I pray God will spare America from His judgment, though, by our actions as a nation, we give Him less and less reason to do so.”
