“IN GOD WE TRUST” Lázaro R González Miño   EDITORhttps://blu172.mail.live.com/ol/clear.gif

Estimados amigos;

Caddell Poll: GOP Voters Want to Dump Boehner as Speaker

By James Morrison
Sixty percent of Republican voters want John Boehner replaced as Speaker of the House, a new poll shows, as a conservative mutiny grows against the Ohio congressman they consider too accommodating with President Barack Obama and congressional Democrats.
The Caddell Associates' survey of 602 Americans who voted Republican in the midterm elections also found that they agree with the simmering conservative revolt, as 64 percent called Boehner too "ineffective" in opposing Obama’s agenda.
When asked if they wanted to replace Boehner, 34 percent said they would "definitely" support a new speaker and 26 percent added that they "probably" would want someone else.
The survey, conducted last week, adds to a growing debate on the right over Boehner’s future as the leader of the House in the new Congress.
The election for speaker is scheduled for Jan. 6, and Boehner would need the support of a majority of members present and voting.
The resignation of Republican Michael Grimm of New York dropped the total number of House members in the new Congress to 434, with Republicans holding 246 seats. Boehner would need at least 218 votes. So far, as many as 18 Republicans are
privately opposing him.
Rep. Walter Jones of North Carolina, one of the few Republicans who are publicly against the speaker, says he "cannot vote in good conscience for John Boehner."

"Right now, I’ve been meeting with a small group, and we — about 16, 18 — and we’re hoping to have a name of a sitting member of Congress that we can call out their name," he told North Carolina’s Talk of the Town radio program.
Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky, another Republican openly opposing Boehner, sees a lighter side to the campaign, even at a local fast-food restaurant.
Some of the strongest opposition to Boehner comes from conservative talk-show host Sean Hannity,
who told Breitbart on Tuesday that he supports Trey Gowdy of South Carolina.
"It’s time for new dynamic leadership in the House of Representatives," he said. "Trey Gowdy is my choice for speaker. He has the ability to articulate and implement the changes needed to get the country on the right path."
“EMO” Get out Boehner, we do not wnt you there. You are traitor. LRGM.

Urgent: Should Obamacare Be Repealed?
 Vote Here Now!

Montana’s Largest Newspaper Admits “We Were Wrong” on Obama

After endorsing him for President in 2008, the Billings-based Gazette – Montana’s largest newspaper – has admitted that they were off the mark in supporting Barack Obama and have been proven wrong by the last six years of history.
As part of a June 27th editorial, the paper said, “Sometimes, you have to admit you’re wrong. And, we were wrong.”
An unusual move for a newspaper to make, the Gazette’s editors felt they had no choice but to apologize for endorsing a young candidate who has been at the center of several scandals (Benghazi, the IRS, Iraq) as well as a President who has done little to make progress on his most important campaign promises. The latter is actually great news for anyone who doesn’t want to see the country slide into a liberal swamp, but it’s understandable that the Gazette would not see things this way.
Even the right’s most prominent columnists rarely wrap Obama’s failures in such a succinct bow. The paper cites the NSA spying controversy, the Bergdahl fiasco, the VA scandal, the lack of promised transparency, and the failures in Iraq as the reasons for withdrawing support.
Obviously, this falls pretty comfortably in the “better late than never” category, but it’s still a blessing to see people in the media come to their senses about this guy. It might be unfortunate that this wake-up call couldn’t have happened two years ago, but I guess you have to take what you can get. In any case, the same journalists that have abandoned the Hope and Change Train will be jumping on the next socialist social climber that comes along.
Of course, the Gazette probably doesn’t have much to apologize for in the first place. The state went to McCain in 2008, it went to Romney in 2012, and it will probably go to the Republican candidate in 2016. Montana is a red state through and through, with Republicans enjoying a 14-point percentage advantage according to a 2012 Gallup poll. And that even begs the real question: how much do newspaper endorsements mean in the first place? Furthermore, should they even be making endorsements to begin with?
Newspaper endorsements have tradition in their favor, but they date from a time when people expected their journalists to have a point of view. In the last half-century or so, the public has forced newspapers to take a more balanced approach to the news, eschewing yellow journalism and endless polemic writing for the plain facts. Of course, the idea of bias ever leaving journalism entirely is a joke, one that has become even more hilarious in the advent of a few major corporations controlling most of the media. Still, the idea of a newspaper – even one that draws laughter when they claim to be unbiased – throwing their support behind a candidate is archaic and unsettling. Certainly, they have the right to do so. It’s just a matter of whether they should.

Amenper: “Levanten El embargo”

Obama OKs New North Korea Sanctions Over 'Destructive' Cyber Attack

President Barack Obama on Friday authorized additional sanctions on North Korea in the wake of the "destructive and coercive" cyber attack on Sony Pictures Entertainment.
The new sanctions target three entities — including the country's primary intelligence organization — and 10 individuals as agencies or officials of the North Korean government, according to the Treasury Department.
In a statement, the White House called the sanctions "a response to the Government of North Korea's ongoing provocative, destabilizing, and repressive actions and policies, particularly its destructive and coercive cyber attack on Sony Pictures Entertainment."
Other organizations targeted by the new sanctions are Korea Mining Development Trading Corporation, which the Treasury Department classifies as North Korea's primary arms dealer, and Korea Tangun Trading Corporation, a group tied to the nation's defense research.
Before leaving for his holiday vacation in Hawaii, Obama pledged that the United States would "respond proportionately" to the massive hack and subsequent threats linked to the satirical film "The Interview," which depicted an assassination attempt against North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
"'We take seriously North Korea's attack that aimed to create destructive financial effects on a U.S. company and to threaten artists and other individuals with the goal of restricting their right to free expression," the White House said Friday.

POLL: 60% OF REPUBLICANS WANT BOEHNER OUT

Top GOP leader 'lost the confidence of his own party'

As Congress gets ready to convene, a new poll shows a full 60 percent of Republican voters want Rep. John Boehner, R-Ohio, removed from his position as House speaker.
Boehner has lost the confidence of his own party voters, according to the telephone survey conducted Dec. 26-30 by pollster Pat Caddell on behalf of People’s Poll.
The national poll reveals that only 25 percent of GOP voters would vote to keep Boehner.
The official speaker’s election is scheduled for Jan. 6.
Asked if they believed Boehner has been ineffective at opposing Obama’s agenda, a full 64 percent of voters agreed.
“[N]o respected party leader has polled this low among his own party’s voters unless he was embroiled in a major personal scandal,” wrote the Conservative Review.
“With 60% of Republican voters desiring a more conservative Speaker, what does this mean for John Boehner next Tuesday – when members of the House will cast votes for the next Speaker? And how can Boehner continue to lead the opposition to President Obama when he has lost the confidence of his own party?”
As WND reported, the idea of Republicans in the U.S. House not having Boehner as speaker come next week is catching on in the media, too.
Fox News reported on Tuesday about North Carolina Rep. Walter Jones’ comments before Christmas that there was a “small group, and we – about 16, 18 – and we’re hoping to have a name of a sitting member of Congress that we can call out their name.”
Only hours earlier, the Daily Caller had cited the same local radio interview, which was reported by Buzzfeed at the time.
But WND had reported on Dec. 19 on Jones’ comments, as part of the publicity over the new DON’T BE YELLOW, DUMP BOEHNER NOW CAMPAIGN, which encourages constituents to let all 247 GOP members of the House majority know they need to pick another speaker for the coming Congress.
It’s because of Boehner’s decision not to fight Barack Obama’s amnesty and Obamacare, both of which now are funded through 2015, even though the GOP will hold the majority in both the House and the Senate – a stunning victory handed to the party by voters – starting next week.
The report points out now there would need to be only 30 conservative GOP members denying Boehner their votes for him to face removal.
“Boehner spokesman Michael Steel indicated that the speaker is not concerned by the challenge,” the report said. “‘Rep. Boehner was selected as the House Republican Conference’s choice for speaker last month,’ Steel wrote in an email, ‘and he expects to be elected by the whole House next week.’
“Perhaps he shouldn’t be so confident,” the report said.
The DUMP BOEHNER campaign already has lined up more than half-a-million letters that are scheduled for delivery to GOP members of the House as soon as members convene next week.
And it’s earned the support of the founder of Tea Party Nation, one of the organizations that helped rouse the American electorate in 2010 and give the GOP control of the U.S. House.
“Absolutely,” Judson Phillips told WND Monday. “I want people storming the halls of Congress. Melting the phone lines and anything else.
“So, I love [WND CEO Joseph Farah's] letter writing idea.”
It was in a commentary in the Washington Times, Phillips explained why he thinks Boehner should be replaced.
“A month after its incredible victory, the GOP squandered its mandate, surrendering to the Democrats,” he wrote. “The GOP-led House of Representatives did not proclaim its mandate and hold off on major decisions until the Republican majority in the Senate was sworn in. No, they went to the GOP position of preemptive surrender and gave President Obama and the Democrats almost everything they wanted.
“Despite the pleas and demands from the base, the GOP did nothing to stop Mr. Obama’s executive amnesty. They even rewarded left-wing billionaires who had spent millions to keep the Democrats in power by extending so-called ‘Green Energy’ subsidies,” he wrote. “The architect of the Republican surrender was House Speaker John Boehner.”
Despite Boehner’s earlier reliance on the tea party, as soon as he was in office, he ignored the movement, Phillips wrote.
“Mr. Boehner made the obligatory statements about cutting spending and reducing Obamacare. Yet time after time, when the occasion called for him to stand and fight, he chose surrender,” he wrote. “2014 is almost over and 2015 is almost here. The first order of business for the House of Representatives in 2015 is to elect a new Speaker of the House.
“It cannot be John Boehner.”
Actually, there are more than 510,000 letters that already have been put into the pipeline for delivery. They would make up a stack nearly 167 feet tall.
On Twitter, the hashtags #BoehnerMustGo and #DumpBoehner have been surging, and other commentators, while not adopting the specific Don’t be Yellow, Dump Boehner Now! campaign, agree with the goal.
At the American Thinker blog, Layne Hansen wrote: “It is time to stop thinking of John Boehner and the rest of the Republican congressional leadership as being cowardly and recognize them for what they are: part of The Ruling Class that believes it has the right to tell the rest of us how to live.
“The current GOP leadership has got to go; this has ceased to be an arguable point. We cannot count on these people to do what is right. Conservatives did not give them majorities in both chambers for them to keep playing the same game,” he wrote.
And at RedState.com, Editor Erick Erickson also delivered a “no-other-options” message.
“House conservatives must summon the courage to oppose Boehner’s nomination on the floor in January. It is a moral imperative. You cannot consistently complain about leadership’s many failures – and the treachery involved with a speaker fresh off a successful wave election conspiring with President Obama to fund amnesty and enjoy a celebratory phone call in the aftermath – and then vote for him to continue in this role. To paraphrase Albert Einstein, that is the definition of insanity, and it is enabled by a vote for Rep. John Boehner,” he wrote.
Critics of Boehner’s actions are responding to the “Don’t Be Yellow: Dump Boehner Campaign” from WND founder Joseph Farah for voters to let the majority members know their thoughts on the issues of amnesty and Obamacare, which both were funded into 2015 in a massive $1.1 trillion spending bill agreed to by Boehner.
Farah said he expects, based on early reaction, to generate millions of letters in time for delivery when the new Congress opens its session this month.
“It’s clear from the viral nature of this campaign that millions of Americans, mostly Republicans, by the way, would like to put coal in Boehner’s stocking this year. And they’d like him to accept the gift as just another member of the House of Representatives rather than as its leader,” Farah said.
The innovative campaign that allows anyone to send a form letter on yellow paper to every Republican member of the House was organized quickly in response to growing anger and frustration from GOP voters. They felt betrayed by Boehner and his leadership team over what Farah characterizes as “his capitulation to Obamacare and the unconstitutional amnesty executive action, which were both fully funded by House Republicans who were voted into office to do just the opposite.”
“While the news cycle has forgotten about Boehner’s betrayal of Republican voters in November, the grass-roots electorate has not,” said Farah. Americans, he said, “are angry enough at the Republican establishment to put their money where their mouth is – investing in this unusual lobbying effort to wake up House members as to the state of their leadership crisis.
“Will Republican House members respond in January? At the very least, they won’t be able to ignore the deluge of mail that awaits them,” he said.
“You can order your letters sent today, and they will be ready for delivery when the new Congress reconvenes. It would be great to see thousands or, better yet, tens of thousands flooding in that first week. That will make an impression that cannot be ignored by Republican members of the House,” he said.
“I’m excited. Now it’s up to you. I’ve already ordered my letters. I’ve even secured the domain names DumpBoehnerCampaign.com and DumpBoehnerNow.com for social media dissemination. Tell your friends,” he wrote.

The letter explains to members of the U.S. House that two issues have “prompted Americans to turn in droves to the Republican Party in November 2014 – Barack Obama’s blatantly unconstitutional executive action to provide amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, and the deliberately deceptive restructuring of America’s health-care system through Obamacare, which threatens to unravel the greatest health delivery system in the world.”
Pointing out that Republicans before the election “solemnly vowed to STOP this lame-duck president,” the letter states: “Now you have the power, right and duty to stop him.
“But it won’t happen with John Boehner leading you. You know this to be true. The trillion-dollar budget deal is just the latest proof that Boehner is not capable of leading the House to victory during this critical period.”
Farah noted that the launch of the program rivals the historic “Pink Slip Campaign” in 2010 that generated some 9.5 million letters to Congress.
“Americans are angry about Boehner’s betrayal of the voters who gave him a bigger majority in the House and Republicans control of the Senate. This could prove to be Boehner’s undoing,” he said.
The campaign allows people to send letters, with their own names and addresses via FedEx, all for the one price of $29.95, to each of the House GOP members.
Farah said, “From previous campaigns we know this approach prompts members to talk about the boxes of letters that are coming into their offices each day. And that’s exactly what we want to do with the DUMP BOEHNER CAMPAIGN – a grass-roots lobbying effort that can channel your outrage into effective and meaningful action.”
He said what can be guaranteed is that members “will see, hear and feel your participation in it.”
“We saw the same thing in 2010,” recalled Farah. “People were angry then. They may be angrier now. It is as if elections have no consequences when Republicans vote.”
A sampling of just how upset people are has been posted online, with abundant promises of “I’m in,” and “Do it.

John McCain Using Obama Donors to Purge Arizona Tea Party

 by Gary DeMar
John McCain has got to go. He’s up for reelection in 2016. The Tea Party needs to begin the process of ridding this political pariah from office. He’s a menace to good government and constitutional fidelity.
McCain’s latest deed of political maleficence is working behind the scenes to lead a purge of Republican conservatives from leadership positions in Arizona, using the help of big Obama donors Greg and Lisa Wendt of San Francisco to do it. “Trading on his Vietnam War hero status, a new super PAC started by McCain’s political allies “reportedly recruited Vietnamese-Americans in Arizona who respect McCain for taking ‘up the cause of the country’s refugees’ and his military service to many precinct posts. According to Politico, ‘more than 50 individuals of Vietnamese descent signed up to run for the precinct slots, and won.’”
Many Republicans consider John McCain to be a war hero. Yes, he survived being a prisoner of war in Vietnam. This doesn’t qualify him to be a principled person when it comes to politics. He’s vindictive and spends more time attacking his fellow Republicans than the Democrats. In fact, he said, "I think the Democratic Party is a fine party, and I have no problems with it, in their views and their philosophy."
Ted Cruz was right when he said the following:
“You want to lose elections? Stand for nothing. Look at the last four congressional elections, in ’06, ’08, ’10′, and ’12. In 3 of the four we followed that strategy. In ‘06, ‘08 and ‘12, we put our head down, we stood for nothing and we got walloped.
“The one election that was a tremendous election was 2010, when Republicans drew a line in the sand. We said we stand unequivocally against Obamacare, against bankrupting the country, and we won an historic tidal wave of an election.
“And of course then all of us remember President Dole, and President McCain, and President Romney. Now look those are good men, those are decent men — but when you don’t stand and draw a clear distinction, when you don’t stand for principle, Democrats celebrate.”
The 2014 election was even bigger for conservatives than 2010. Was McCain and his fellow-Establishment Republicans leading the charge against the Democrats with a conservative agenda? They were nowhere to be found. In order for Establishment Republican Thad Cochran to win in Mississippi, he had to align himself with Democrats to beat back a primary challenge against Tea Party candidate Chris McDaniel.
John McCain was not happy with Cruz’s comments or his principled strategy to put our nation on sound constitutional footing. McCain said the following on Democrat-friendly MSNBC:
“[Sen. Cruz] can say what he wants to about me, and he can say anything he wants to, I think, about Mitt – Mitt’s capable of taking it. But when he throws Bob Dole in there, I wonder if he thinks that Bob Dole stood for principle on that hilltop in Italy when he was so gravely wounded and left part of his body there fighting for our country?”
What does one thing have to do with the other? Nothing.
The Right Scoop gets it right:
“This is why I said McCain sounds like a slimy Democrat because this is exactly what slimy Democrats do. McCain goes on MSNBC to attack Cruz and suggest that he doesn’t respect the military sacrifice that Dole gave for this country. How dare he!
“Ted Cruz was not talking about Dole’s military service and McCain knows it. Cruz was talking about his political campaign for president. He was talking about the Republican Party.”
McCain is “not only a liberal Republican, but he’s vindictive and ethically challenged. He doesn’t seem to represent Arizona. He represents a handful of wealthy out of state donors trying to manufacture voters still willing to blindly pull the lever for him.”

What This Investigative Report Just Revealed Shows How ObamaCare Makes Millions Sick...

middle-class workers on employer-provided plans are...NORVELL ROSE

Heading into 2015, one of the bigger questions regarding ObamaCare is whether the latest Supreme Court case involving the Affordable Care Act (ACA) will lead to a ruling that sends the law into an insurance “death spiral.”
It’ll be many months before any ruling is issued on King v. Burwell, but already the liberal hand-wringing has begun over the fact that a decision from the high court could render ObamaCare unworkable.
As reported at nationaljournal.com, the basis of the legal challenge involves the subsidies — actually tax credits — offered to ObamaCare enrollees and whether Congress intended for that financial assistance to insurance premium payers to be universally available:
…the subsidies are part of a complex, interwoven set of policies that aim to balance out each state’s insurance market.
The vast majority of Obamacare enrollees are receiving tax subsidies, which are offered on a sliding scale based on income, and most of them live in the 36 states that didn’t set up their own exchanges.
But as that future ruling hangs over ObamaCare as well as the lawmakers and liberal advocates who support it, there is a significant present problem identified in a lengthy investigative report at usatoday.com.
With new ObamaCare rules, regulations, and requirements radically changing the healthcare marketplace, middle-class workers on employer-provided plans are “increasingly staying away” from doctors’ offices, largely because deductibles have skyrocketed.
It’s a deep and common concern across the USA, where employer plans cover 60% of working-age Americans, or about 150 million people.
Coverage long considered the gold standard of health insurance now often requires workers to pay so much out-of-pocket that many feel they must skip doctor visits, put off medical procedures, avoid filling prescriptions and ration pills — much as the uninsured have done.
While the USA Today investigation doesn’t entirely blame ObamaCare for the fact that more and more people are facing prohibitively high deductibles with their policies, the report does say that deductibles have risen dramatically since the ACA went into effect.
A recent Commonwealth Fund survey found that four in 10 working-age adults skipped some kind of care because of the cost, and other surveys have found much the same.
And a Mercer study showed that 2014 saw the largest one-year increase in enrollment in “high-deductible plans” — from 18% to 23% of all covered employees.
The result, according to the USA Today story, is that increasing numbers of Americans are avoiding or delaying health care, and are frequently not taking their prescription medications as their doctors say they should.
As to the prospect that time will heal the problem with runaway insurance plan deductibles, the USA Today investigation concludes that relief for those struggling with high-deductible issues — or their potentially negative health consequences — is nowhere in sight.
There are no signs high deductibles are going away. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services last month cited these plans as one of the reasons health care spending hit a record low in 2013.
But CMS statistician Micah Hartman says his office is “not looking forward to what the impact would be going forward” if consumers who delay care need far more expensive emergency care later.
Given this bad news for so many millions of Americans, one might wonder exactly what President Obama really meant all those times he and his supporters claimed he has been working so hard to “protect the middle class.”

Senate Republicans Have Big Plans For Big Labor

With Republicans about to take over the Senate, one of the new majority’s priorities is reforming a federal board that helps decide disputes between unions and businesses.
Check it out:
The Democratic-dominated National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has been accused of being too biased in favor of liberal policies and labor unions. To address this, Tennessee Republican Sen. Lamar Alexander — the incoming chairman of the Senate committee with jurisdiction over labor issues – has introduced the National Labor Relations Board Reform Act.

24 States to Submit Article V Convention of States Applications This Month

As many State Legislatures begin their sessions this month the real work of reining in the Federal Government will truly begin. It is a very exciting time in our country’s history. Be sure to get involved and encourage your local legislator to support COS!
Check it out:
Representatives in the Aiken County legislative delegation have hit the ground running by pre-filing bills to gain position at the top of the agenda when legislators get back to Columbia in January.
S.C. Rep. Bill Taylor, R-Aiken, is continuing his push for an Article V Convention of States and pre-filed for the bill about three weeks ago.
Taylor began his pursuit of a states’ convention a year ago when he represented South Carolina in the Palmetto State’s call for a convention along with Virginia.
“Whereas, it is the solemn duty of the States to protect the liberty of our people, particularly for the generations to come, to propose amendments to the Constitution of the United States through a Convention of the States under Article V to place clear restraints on these and related abuses of power. …,” Taylor wrote in the bill.
Moving forward, Taylor and others said they expect 24 states, including South Carolina, to join Alaska, Florida and Georgia and submit formal applications next year. It takes 34 states, or two-thirds, to call for a convention. Each state has to pass a resolution and send it to Washington, D.C., for Congressional Record.
Once 34 states apply for the same purpose, then, the Constitution says, Congress shall call a convention, and the states will send delegates to propose amendments.
From there, the proposed amendments have to be sent back out to the states and then three-fourths, or 38 states, have to approve them.
