President Obama Thinks You're an Idiot
By Onan Coca / 21 September 2013 / I think it’s fair to say that we have all become keenly aware of just how full of himself President Obama truly is. We got the chance to watch him imply, back in 2008, that if he were elected President he could smooth over our relations with the rest of the world simply by the power of his personality and his inspiring rhetoric. We listened to him tell the Islamic world that his election was proof positive that America was changing in a way that would be beneficial to Islam, indicating that relations between the USA and Islam at large could get better now, because he was in office. We sat dumbfounded as, during the State of Union in 2010, President Obama castigated our Supreme Court for making what he thought was the wrong decision in the Citizens United case.
Well now the President has added another notch to his bedpost of superiority. He knows that the American people are wrong about Obamacare, because he disagrees.
In an interview with Telemundo on Tuesday, the president was asked if “everybody [was] wrong” after polling data indicated that a majority of Americans oppose the law and believe it will raise their healthcare costs. “Yes,” the president said with a chuckle. “They are.” The president said a “look at the facts” revealed that young adults were able to stay on their parents’ health insurance longer and that seniors were getting “billions of dollars in discounts on their prescription drugs.”
Asked about reports that insurance rates were rising in some areas, Obama argued the law was a net positive. “What we’ve seen is the lowest increase in healthcare costs in 50 years over the last several years,” Obama said. “So there is no evidence at all that this is somehow making healthcare more expensive. There’s a lot of evidence that it’s helping to make it cheaper.”
Can you even begin to fathom the amount of hubris that it must take to fuel Barack Obama’s body and mind?
A recent poll undertaken by NBC and the Wall Street Journal shows that “just 12 percent say the law will have a positive impact on their family, while 52 percent think the cost of their healthcare will go up.” Every indication that doesn’t come out of the White House shows that Obamacare isdriving healthcare costs higher than they would have gone up otherwise, and average families all across the country are suffering because of it. Of course, that’s not the only problem among the dozens of other things that Obamacare is doing to mangle the economy and consume liberty – it’s also making many of us lose the insurance we already had!
The Obamacare legislation is a train wreck of incredible proportions and it doesn’t take a “self-described” genius like President Obama to see that. Apparently though, thinking that you are the smartest guy in the room does put up certain blinders for you, as it seems the President really has no idea how bad Obamacare is. Fortunately for him, he is just prideful enough to think that when his ideas and plans fall apart – it’s always somebody else’s fault.

El presidente Obama y la ex secretaria de estado Hillary Clinton siguen insistiendo en que no tienen nada que ocultar sobre los sucesos de Bengazi, que ya han expuesto públicamente todo los hechos. Pero un informe reciente de miembros republicanos del congreso de los Estados Unidos y el Comité de reforma gubernamental suscita más preguntas acerca de la seriedad de la administración Obama de llegar al fondo del mortal ataque del 11 de septiembre de 2012 contra el Consulado estadounidense en Bengasi, Libia.
En las secuelas de la agresión, la entonces secretaria de Estado Hillary Rodham Clinton presenta una rendición de al ARB, supuestamente un organismo independiente, para investigar lo que salió mal. ARB emitió un informe en diciembre pero los republicanos del Comitéé de supervisión no quedaron impresionados con los resultados.
"El ARB culpó a fallos sistémicos y liderazgo y las deficiencias de gestión dentro de dos oficinas, pero minimizaron la importancia de las decisiones tomadas en los niveles superiores del departamento (estado)", escribieron. "Testigos interrogados cuánto estas decisiones... condujo a la postura de seguridad inadecuadas en Bengasi".
Cuatro funcionarios de nivel medio con autoridad para adoptar decisiones mínima fueron puestos en suspensos de trabajo pagadas; el actual Secretario de estado John Kerry los ha reintegrados a sus puestos.
Sin embargo Patrick F. Kennedy, Subsecretaria de estado para la administración, no fue sancionada en ningún momento.
La ARB habló con más de 100 personas, las entrevistas fueron grabadas o realizadas bajo juramento.
Sin embargo la Clinton y los secretarios adjunto William Burns y Thomas Nides no fueron entrevistados. Es extraño porque en octubre del año pasado, la señora Clinton se atribuyó la responsabilidad por la seguridad del .país.
La junta al parecer dependió mucho en el Departamento de estado para el uso del personal y los recursos.
Victoria Toensing, abogada de la ex Subjefe de la misión en Libia, y otros que formaron la Junta Directiva de la investigación, como el veterano Embajador Thomas Pickering y ex Presidente de los jefes de personal Michael Mullen — no son investigadores experimentados.
"Parece cada vez más probable que objetivo primario del departamento fue crear la apariencia pública de rendición de cuentas", señaló escuetamente el informe republicano.
La casa blanca, y el jefe del Departamento de estado y oficial de supervisión del Comité Demócrata Elijah Cummings han acusado a los republicanos de una cacería de brujas, tratando de impugnar a Mr.. Pickering y al Almirante Mullen.
Pero para nuestra agradable sorpresa, sin embargo, medios incluso liberales como CBS, CNN y The Daily Beast (sucesor de Newsweek) han publicado el informe del partido republicano.
Eso sugiere que los defectos la ARB investigación son demasiado obvios para ignorar.

Para mí el Papa es un ser humano sujeto a las virtudes y defectos de cualquier mortal.
Por lo tanto no me sorprendió que cometiera el error de decir que situaciones como el aborto, el matrimonio homosexual y los anticonceptivos eran asuntos menores que dividían a la iglesia y que nos debiéramos concentrar en cosas más importantes como la caridad.(por lo menos así presentaron sus palabras los medios de comunicación)
La caridad es importante, pero para mí más importante es la salvación personal, y si pecamos sin arrepentimiento, y no aceptamos con fe el regalo del perdón, de poco vale que hayamos sido caritativos, poca cosa entonces vale el sacrificio vicario de Cristo.
El acto homosexual, no los homosexuales, están condenado por el libro de instrucciones que la iglesia acepta como la palabra de Dios., la Biblia.
Pero si no condenamos el matrimonio homosexual, estamos llevando el mensaje que el acto homosexual no es pecado, y los homosexuales tomarán esas palabras para reforzar su agenda del matrimonio homosexual.
El acto homosexual es un pecado condenado esplícitamente en diferentes libros de la Biblia, pero todos pecamos, nuestros pecados son otros pero son pecados, así que somos diferentes en el pecado pero igual de pecadores que los homosexuales.
El asunto esencial es que debe de haber arrepentimiento y el pecado del matrimonio homosexual es el pecado continuado sin arrepentimiento, lo cual es más importante que la caridad para el pecador porque es la perdición, y esto ha sido doctrina de la iglesia Católica por siglos.
El papa rectificó, dicen que para complacer a los católicos conservadores.
No lo creo, no quiero creerlo, quiero creer que tuvo un lapso humano y se dio cuenta de su error.
Lo del aborto es todavía peor, considerar un crimen como algo menor, es peor que lo del matrimonio homosexual, y espero que también aclare este asunto.
Lo de los anticonceptivos, pues si, considero que es algo menor, porque la gran mayoría de los católicos practican esto sin arrepentimiento, pero no hay nada en la biblia que lo condene.
Y si, se has comprobado que había anticonceptivos desde tiempos ancestrales. Se han encontrados condones primitivos y esponjas que se usaban como diafragmas en las civilizaciones egipcias. Estos fueron tiempos bíblicos del antiguo testamento y pre-bíblicos en el nuevo testamento, si se hubiera condenado se hubiera mencionado en la Biblia.
No recuerdo ningún discípulo de Cristo que tuviera docenas de hijos, así que usaban algún tipo de anticonceptivo, porque entonces no tenían los conocimientos para saber usar el sistema del ritmo porque no conocían nada sobre el tiempo fecundidad en el ciclo de la mujer..
Esto es una cuestión como el matrimonio de los sacerdotes que se pudiera cambiar en un momento adecuado.
Pero estoy de acuerdo en que por fidelidad a su institución un católico profesante quiera obedecer la tradición, es su derecho y no se le debe criticar ni oponersele a que cumpla con la tradición..
Pero no hay ninguna excusa sobre el aborto que es un crimen y el acto homosexual que son condenados por la palabra de Dios.
Y hay que estar claro, o creemos o no creemos pero si decimos que creemos no podemos ignorar la palabra de Dios.

Será un nuevo triunfo para Irán, es significativo que quizás sea la culminación de una relación entre Irán y Estados Unidos que comenzó cuando el tristemente recordado Jimmy Carter entregó Irán a una teocracia Islámica.
Ahora Obama completa el trabajo de Jimmy Carter, teniendo la primera reunión de un presidente de los Estados Unidos con un presidente de la dictadura totalitaria teocrática de Irán.
La reunión también será una “victoria” diplomática para Obama, los Iraniés prometerán lo que quieran que prometa. Las promesas de los dictadores totalitarios son regalos que generosamente ofrecen a sus enemigos. Si no van a cumplir las promesas, por qué escatimar, nos dan todas las que queremos.
Por eso ningún presidente de los Estados Unidos se ha rebajado a reunirse con un presidente de Irán.
Pero Obama es un presidente excepcional, es la excepción como presidente, es diferente por eso a nuestros enemigos les gusta tanto Obama, como se dice en el francés castizo “Constatez la jodide différence“

"The president called the speaker this evening to tell him he wouldn't negotiate with him on the debt limit," the spokesman said in a statement. "Given the long history of using debt limit increases to achieve bipartisan deficit reduction and economic reforms, the speaker was disappointed, but told the president that the two chambers of Congress will chart the path ahead.
"It was a brief call," the Boehner spokesman said.
The president also called House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, the White House said.
"The president telephoned Speaker Boehner and told him again that the full faith and credit of the United States should not and will not be subject to negotiation," an administration official told Politico in a statement. "The president reiterated that it is the constitutional responsibility of the U.S. Congress to pass the nation's budget and pay the nation’s bills."

Obama's calls came as the House of Representatives voted to temporarily finance the federal government while defunding Obamacare. The 230-189 vote set up a showdown with the Senate and the White House.
House Republicans said on Wednesday they were preparing legislation to raise the government's $16.7 trillion debt limit.
Leaders have said that they were considering including such options as blocking Obama administration plans to curb coal ash pollution; forcing civil servants to contribute more to their retirement plans; requiring Congress to approve many major regulations; and defunding Obamacare for a year.
Obama has said he wants Congress to send him legislation that simply extends the debt limit and has said that he will not negotiate the matter.
The government is expected to exhaust its borrowing authority by late October. That would threaten a first-ever federal default, which many analysts believe would deal a severe blow to the economy.
Meanwhile, Republican leaders have said they do not want a federal default and have noted that past presidents, including Obama in 2011, have negotiated over earlier bills to extend the debt limit.
In a video released on Thursday, Boehner questioned Obama's willingness to negotiate with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the chemical weapons issue in Syria but not with Republicans.
"Why is the Obama administration willing to negotiate with Putin on Syria ... But not with Congress to address Washington's spending problem?" the text from the ad asks.
The United States and Russia reached a deal last week in which Syrian President Bashar Assad would give up his nuclear arsenal to be destroyed via international standards. The threat of a U.S. military strike against Syria was staved off by the agreement.

WASHINGTON — The House voted 230-189 along party lines Friday to approve a stopgap spending bill to fund the federal government through mid-December, but it is facing certain defeat in the Senate because it includes language aiming to dismantle President Obama´s health care law. Without a stopgap spending bill, the federal government will feel the effects of a shutdown when the fiscal year ends on Sept. 30. The bill extends the current rate of government spending at $986 billion a year. B-1B Exterminates Small Moving Boat; Tests Larger Anti-Ship Missile By Colin Clark on September 19, 2013 at 4:50 PM
It’s difficult enough for one ship to find and sink another ship. It may not be quite as hard for planes flying from an aircraft carrier to find enemy ships and sink them, but it’s not easy. The hardest task for a plane — especially a land-based plane — may be to find a small boat and sink it while it’s moving.
But that’s just what one of America’s B-1B bombers accomplished earlier this month.
“Future wars might not all be on land, some may include surface combat, so we are evaluating the way we employ the B-1 to aid in completing the mission,” Lt. Col. Alejandro Gomez, 337th TES special projects officer said in an official Air Force news story about the test.
Flying over the Gulf of Mexico with a host of fighters and bombers, the B-1B dropped six munitions: a laser-guided 500-pound bomb (a GBU-54), as well as several 500- and 2,000-pound Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAMs), and at least one GBU-10 Paveway II.
That Paveway accomplished what may be the most remarkable part of the test: striking and completely destroying a fast-moving small boat.
Why is the Air Force experimenting with the B-1B, capable of flying between continents at high speed and low altitude? The most likely answer is anti-access/area denial (A2/AD) warfare, embedded most solidly in what the Pentagon calls Air-Sea Battle. The B-1B is not truly stealthy, but it does have a relatively smaller radar cross section, great range and the ability to loft the larger weapons payload in the Air Force, making it useful for A2/AD conditions. (We’re also in the early stages of building the successor, called the Long Range Strike Bomber – to the venerable B-52 and the B-1 and its cousin, the truly stealthy B-2.)
Add to that mix something the Chinese have been working on, a hypersonic anti-ship missile called the DF-21. Designed primarily as an aircraft carrier killer, the DF-21 has prompted the United States to work harder on its own ability to strike war ships at sea. An official with the Pentagon’s AirSea Battle office told my colleague Sydney Freedberg earlier this week that: “We feel comfortable with our ability to address the current threat, [but] adversaries are creating weapons systems of increasing range and precision.” The AirSea Battle concept doesn’t depend on any one wonder weapon, he emphasized, but alongside tools like secure network datalinks, cyber/electronic warfare capabilities, a new stealth bomber, and a host of innovative tactics, “we do need a long-range anti-ship munition, and it needs to be a joint munition, in our opinion.”
The B-1B test may well add another arrow to that quiver. Given the relatively small size of the fleet, of course, it will not offer the Clausewitzian strategic advantage of numbers. But still.

Obamacare Subsidies Show Huge Rift Between Congress, Citizens

Nothing angers United States Senators more than having their perks taken away. And chief among those perks is top-of-the-line healthcare at little or no cost.
But due to Obamacare’s sloppy drafting, the congressional healthcare perk is suddenly vulnerable. And Congress isn’t happy.
So Barack Obama – who’s spent much of the summer making adjustments toObamacare that aren’t legal – is tweaking the law yet again. He’s taken the aggressive position that his staff can rewrite Obamacare at will. No congressional action is required to change the law, according to their logic.
First the business mandate vanished. Originally, businesses with over 50 employees were supposed to provide insurance as of January 1. Obama unilaterally delayed this mandate for at least another year.
Next, the online marketplaces that sell the healthcare plans have been all but forgotten. They were supposed to automatically calculate subsidies based on income, but the programmers don’t have the systems ready. Not to worry – Obama said that all you have to do if you want a subsidy is claim one. There’s currently no way to verify whether your claim for a subsidy is legitimate…and there may never be.
And finally, in his most outrageous move yet, Obama has tweaked the healthcare law to make sure congressmen and their staffs can collect big subsidies for their coverage. Obama ordered the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to reinterpret the law, and with the revisions in place, millionaire members of Congress will once again get their full subsidy.
Until Obamacare was passed, congressmen, along with all other Federal employees, participated in the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHBP), and they routinely receive subsidies of $5,000 to $15,000 per year.
But when Obamacare was drafted, Senator Chuck Grassley, of Iowa, inserted a provision that all members of Congress and their staffs must buy insurance through the Obamacare health exchanges.
“The more that Congress experiences the laws it passes, the better,” Grassley said at the time. Since it’s difficult for Congress to argue that they be exempt from their own laws, they caved to Grassley’s demand.
Obama to the Rescue
Everyone thought the Grassley language would end federal healthcare subsidies. But the squeals in D.C. became so loud this summer that Obama rewrote the bill again. This time, he made sure Congress and their staffs would still get the subsidies they so desperately craved.
But one congressman, Senator David Vitter, of Louisiana, doesn’t think this is right. He’s called for a vote to end the congressional exemption from paying full freight for health insurance.
Vitter’s bill would stop the rewrite and once again subject congressmen and their staffs to the same problems faced by Americans who are paying more money for less care under the “Affordable Care Act.” In reality, the act is neither affordable nor fair, as millions of Americans are about to lose employer-based healthcare.
Meanwhile, on Capitol Hill, Harry Reid was actually forced to shut down the Senate to keep any debate of the Vitter bill from taking place. Reid and the other leaders of the Senate don’t want Americans to know what’s going on. They’re worried that allAmericans will begin demanding discounted healthcare.
After being pushed around, Vitter was so mad he actually made a complaint to the Senate Ethics Committee about Reid and Senator Barbara Boxer. The language used is rarely on display in the Senate, a body that prides itself as the home of honest and fair discussion.
The Vitter language is so strong, I want to quote it exactly: “Harry Reid is acting like an old-time Vegas mafia thug, and a desperate one at that… Threatening to take away their colleagues’ health care coverage subsidy if they do not vote a certain way at worst constitutes bribery and a quid pro quo arrangement, and at best amounts to improper conduct,” he said.
Unfortunately, in spite of Vitter’s best efforts, the outcome here is pre-determined. Senators and staffers will get their subsidies. But it’s refreshing to see someone on Capitol Hill actually working to end a perk.Way to go Senator Vitter.Your eyes on the hill
